  1. You do know they have internet almost everywhere? It's not just in cities. Democrats just use it more. Just as Republicans control(or at least will until Obama goes after freedom of speech) talk radio.
  2. No she's not. Your just going off some poll that was taken days after the election. Do you think anything will change by then? It's going to be... [hide=]Mike Pence, the third ranking House Republican Piyush Jindal, Governor of Louisiana Eric Cantor, House minority whip(not one of my favorites.) or Tim Pawlenty, Governor of Minnesota.[/hide] I guess Allen West is out. :x He'd have even less experience than Obama, even if he won in 2010.
  3. The Christians of that area were. That doesn't mean all were.
  4. If the Church had had their way, black people wouldn't even be able to marry white people. That's not the popular Christian opinion now.. but what do you think would have happened if the zeitgeist hadn't been moved along? And that was like what.. 40 years ago? I don't really know what you are talking about. I've never heard anything like that. Why would the Church care about interracial marriages? There are several passages that can be interpreted as against interracial marriage. And indeed many Christians did interpret them this way. In fact, a judge ruled against Loving (vs. Virginia.) saying that "God placed the races on different continents, therefore showing that they shouldn't marry" and forced one of the people in that relationship (can't remember which) to leave the state for something ridiculous like 30 years. There are a lot of passages that can be interpreted a lot of ways. Why would the Vatican care though?
  5. They've pretty much all been said. Zelda, Starcraft, GTA3. Zelda was freaking awesome. I wish it never ended.
  6. Sperm aren't human life. If the Church had had their way, black people wouldn't even be able to marry white people. That's not the popular Christian opinion now.. but what do you think would have happened if the zeitgeist hadn't been moved along? And that was like what.. 40 years ago? 7. I just beat the campaign. It's pretty confusing. Why do the Lambent attack the Locusts? And the matchmaking stinks. Even with a full room it takes forever and then you have to restart after every match. It's fun though. 5 kills at once with the mortar?
  8. The Church doesn't say that. Just stereotyping everything religious as fundamentalist gets kind of old after a while. Marriage is inherently a religious sacrament. A covenant between one man and one woman. Changing the definition deprives it of it's meaning. If two black people get married it is different from two guys. You're not religious so you don't care. Other people do. That's what happens when you have the state invading Church territory.
  9. Yes of course. I forgot all people who live in the south are racist fundamentalists. Probably not as racist as me though.
  10. Oh wait. I guess I am racist. This is ridiculous. Your such a big atheist why would you care about marriage at all? It's a religious sacrament that's been morphed into a social institution. Let's just get rid of marriages altogether and have civil unions for everyone. If the state gave out communion would you want it to be given to Muslims or Buddhists?
  11. Not even a little bit. There is absolutely nothing people in a civil union can't do that married people can.
  12. I wonder how many people here know that it was a prominent Republican member of the House that sponsored a bill to legalize medicinal marijuana.
  13. Oh sweet. I didn't know I was a racist too. Good point dude.
  14. I know. I can't believe a democrat actually won on the internet! Those dirty liberals and their technology! Us farmers down here in Alabama don't need no darn computers to get the truth. We either read the paper and are misinformed or don't read the paper and are uninformed! What does Alabama have to do with anything? Would you be surprised if John McCain won the talk radio poll?
  15. Well obviously you don't care. I do. When I have kids if they learn about marriage in school I'd like them to learn the traditional definition of marriage or at least have the opportunity to pull them from class when they teach "Heather has two mommies" Which the teachers union said you can't do.
  16. I have one of those stupid Stormtrooper hoodies that a friend got for me. I don't wear it that much though. It comes in handy when you don't want someone to recognize you. Normally I just wear a black sweatshirt.
  17. Kids going to a gay marriage. Oh no? Seriously, I was raised an Atheist and I went to a church on a school day out when I was aged 8. The history lessons I received on Ireland were given by a Protestant Unionist, despite me agreeing in principle with the Republicans' cause and being half-Irish myself. You don't find my parents complaining about the influence school had on me. Don't tell me you consider that as evidence of forcing liberal morals onto school children, unless you're afraid of children seeing the world around them for themselves. Challenging children about subjects they may otherwise feel awkward with is part of education. It allows them to approach those issues again later on in life with some sense of maturity. Well maybe to you that doesn't mean anything but to most people it does. That was one of the main reasons it passed. To a lot of people it went from letting gays do their own thing to forcing it upon children. I wouldn't want my six year old learning about gay marriage alongside regular marriage. And the teachers union basically said that they were going to teach it "Whether you Like it or not!" to quote Gavin Newsom.
  18. [hide=] [/hide] Bossy. You're a state trooper too? Nice. God Bless dude.
  19. The courts can't overturn it. It was a constitutional amendment. And I'm shocked that is was only 53% of latinos. I would have expected 60% at least. And if you're trying to say that it was McCain voters who were the only ones against it think about who ran on a ticket against gay marriage. And think about who, as Governor, vetoed a bill to take away gay rights.
  20. Blacks, Tongans, and I think Filipinos voted more than 70% for it. Is that supposed to be a bad thing? EDIT: Woops. Didn't read any of the above stuff except for the last one. And education was an issue. The teachers union had already said that parents wouldn't be able to pull their kids out from learning about gay marriage and one school took kids on a field trip to a lesbian wedding.
  21. I know. I can't believe a democrat actually won on the internet!
  22. Heh, the issue is determining if it is technically "born" and if it is capable to think. We don't know that. Well, most people think with their brain, and it's also from the brain that the feelings come. So, it'd be safe to assume abortion is moral at least until the embryo has developed a nervous system, isn't it? Is it a living human before it has a nervous system?
