that 2nd one is... terribly ugly..

Its like a fake leather jacket.

Get some style :P

Lol, you tell me to get some style and then link me to CSS

I need something that will hold up to -15C or 5Fahrenheit with windchill up to -30C / -22F. Those jackets don't look like they'll hold up at 0C

I've seen that jacket at the Guess outlet. It doesn't look that shiny IRL.

I'm not sure a gap jacket would hold up to those either. Northface?

I live in TO. It depends, when are you going here? If it's going to be like last winter, December will be pretty mild. Winter only got heavy at the end of January til early March

I'm not asking for fashion advice. I wanna see what ppl wear

I don't see northface as a fashion statement, i see it as a quality brand that makes high quality products. That does what they are designed for. My current winter jacket is a Columbia Titanium and its like 6 years old, and this year I'm looking at buying this northface.

When the temperature is -5 to +10C, which would be around September, I wear this:

When it cools off in winter to about -30 to -55C, I wear this, or a variation of it:

I just go to West49 every year and find something that fits, is decent enough to keep me warm during a Canadian winter (gets to around -50C here sometimes), and looks good. That second one looks horridly ugly, uncomfortable and it doesn't look like it's warm.

I usually wear hoodies or jumpers. If I wear a coat, my bag gets bunched up in the fabric. + I don't have a coat.

Actually that's a lie. I have a nike air jacket which is horribly 'chavvy'. Plus its super thin fabric, not really suitable.

I know. It looks like plastic, but I don't recall it being like that in person.
