  1. 14,427 ... Yes, if it is used WITHOUT anything else in the post. Have you checked Tip.It Forum Rules recently? They say not to do posts all in one color, unless it is the "default" color! What's worse, is using a single specific color can annoy many users, especially ones who currently have one of those "pink background" or "red background" themes, or even one where the text color of red is awful. ***Thwaps matthew02468 over the head and walks off...*** ~Mr. Devnull
  2. Monticelso, I know you had good intent in mind with something like this, but sadly, I have come to learn that good intent without proper thinking is like trying to drive straight to where a person is and not using the proper roads. (You end up either dead or in a ditch somewhere... ...) There really is no way to manage a system like that at all without an oversize "tip.it senate" (which doesn't exist right now, BTW) that would have to read every single post on the forums, which would take years on end, and they would never finish that work. You'd find them all losing their minds far before then, seeing as this site is years old, even older than the total time I have been here (which I think is passing 1 year now...) and there are just way too many posts to go through. I could keep ranting on this if I had the mental power and processing capability left. (Most of that got drained out of me late yesterday, don't ask why... just don't. My mind likely won't get it back for some time.) ~Mr. Devnull
  3. 14,431 What in the blazes is up with all the weird red tagging? ~Mr. Devnull
  4. I don't mean this in bad humor, but it now sounds like Jagex is going to need a "seizure warning" for their game. ~Mr. Devnull
  5. Good Morning, Albosky, Kiara_Kat, Bambino, and the rest of the Tip.It Staff... As I was going through to edit out my current clan line in my Forum.Tip.It Profile, seeing as I resigned :ohnoes: from Clan Armageddon due to problems over there, I got the following error :ohnoes: message here: Any idea what is going on here? Please fix soon? :ohnoes: ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  6. I do give a "hangnail" about this thread, so........... BUMP! ~Mr. Devnull (p.s.: I hate double-posting... -.- ...)
  7. Okay, I do give a "hangnail" about this thread, so I am bumping now... ~Mr. Devnull
  8. Uhm, might I ask what you're talking about? :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  9. Okay, I've read the article, seen the thread... I think The Editor may be onto something with this. Fansites, players, and the game company who makes the game really are all inter-connected. Take any one of them out, you kill the experience. Just that simple. Off-Topic: Something about The Editor's Writing Style says that they are possibly female. Just a feeling I am getting here. Hmm, that would make them Madam Editor, now wouldn't it? :-k ~Mr. Devnull
  10. 14,537 ... Oi, I need to keep up on this better....... ~Mr. Devnull
  11. Okay, I picked the best 2 recent quotes to reply to here, so here I go... I would agree with this. Cooking exp levels have jumped a little bit, and with the "Cook X" and "Cook all" options at hand, Cooking has become one hugely popular skill. Although, I have noticed the ranges there are just like all the other normal ones in-game. Until the ranges in the cooks guild in specific are improved, I'd say level 38 maximum for an "entry requirement", but after, more like 49. People have been complaining about fish becoming too much tied with the cooking skill. I can't help but agree with them at the spot where they'd come into this mess. They could at least use the ability to train on "Non-Fish" items more easily. Plus it would create new in-game market sections. Finally, "Training Food" at a good price. And it might knock down the price of the "Long-Range Fighting Foods" after a while... :) Okay, 'nuff said from me for now... let's hear some other people... ~Mr. Devnull
  12. Off-topic: Uhm... :uhh: ...Do you mean "rigormortis"? I don't know of any "rigamortis". :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  13. Really? I recently pulled out my Phantom of the Opera DVD and have since re-addicted myself to it. Rargh. Just a momentary phase. I'll probably switch it again soon, though... Hmm. Oh, and I'm female. Yes, I really did. The "Phantom of the Opera" ones just seem haunting. :uhh: ... Also it is cool that you're female. I don't normally run into that many in my daily browsing of the forums. :) ... I wonder if there would be less hotheads if more ladies were around... Any guess? ~Mr. Devnull
  14. I support, but u cant beat dragon slayer @ lvl 30 Yeah, if you're playing it safe, you have to wait for CB 60+ to kill elvarg off and get out alive. -.- ~Mr. Devnull
  15. Is that P2P or F2P??? :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  16. Not with my idea added in. Did you read it? Not a valid point with my next idea addition. Why? Because I now also suggest this: If you are skulled, you can't trade with someone who isn't skulled while you're skulled. Further, you can't switch to Non-PK-mode either. Would also now become an invalid point. Why? Because I now add to the suggestions with this: If you've been in any battle with another player in the last 10 minutes, you can't switch on the Non-PK-mode. With all of my ideas added, it would not. I hope Melorna picks up on all of this soon. Obviously, I have added some complex ideas here. And heck, for the like of the thought, if you get jumped in wildi, it activates that 10-minute limit immediately, without exception. Wildi ain't gonna die because you lost a few targets. In fact, it will get far more dangerous for the PK'ers, especially those who are so dangerously evil it isn't funny. Personally my take on this is, "WHAT? YOU CAN'T TAKE A BIT MORE DANGER FROM A LIMIT IN YOUR PICKS???" ... 'Nuff said. I hope Prankster_King sees this and changes his mind to support it. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  17. Then Examine a Cannon: I always laugh my rear off at that! ~Mr. Devnull (SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST, I DON'T NORMALLY DO THAT!)
  18. Hmm... rocks that you'd mine... ...and some skeleton in wildi... In my opinion, nice picks! =D> ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  19. I take personal insult to this remark. If something like this happened and I was one of the ones able to use the bug, I would never do it. I would instead bank my personal items and just log the hell out and go to another world to cancel the bug out, and if it wouldn't cancel, I would stay logged out until Jagex could repair my account... I have "noob accounts" I made so I could play on them when I am not on "D_V_Devnull", my "main and 'soul' account". (Yes, literally as in it shows my soul underneath even this angry skin...) I'm not your "average joe" who would succumb to temptation so easily, and I find it awful you would think everyone is. :x  -.- :notalk: Now excuse me, I need to send a report in to the Tip.It Mods and Admins. You've made me extremely angry with your widely-directed insult. ~Mr. Delta Varuna Devnull
  20. 14,593 ... ***D_V_Devnull blasts Bobthefishy for trying to mess up the post count again with another burst of Devnull's own shotgun...*** Bob, don't do that anymore... Violent things happen in this thread if you try to mess the countdown. Why? It is like violating the natural order. And I am here to re-enforce it. Obsessive_Passion, I liked your previous avvy better... Are you male or female? :-s (Just curious!) ~Mr. Devnull
  21. Dude, I wouldn't. I DON'T want to end up banned. :x You're looking for Rule #4, "Bug Abuse". ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  22. 14,606 ***Whops Stilev one more time for messing up the post count!*** ~Mr. Devnull
  23. Primary Analysis: ================== I have gone through this whole thread after reading the Tip.It Times article, and all I can see is the equivalent of bickering and fighting, give or take a mere few posters, including Tip.It's staff members and Jagex's one-and-only Mr. Andrew Gower... My hat is off to you who were willing to put good posts in the middle of the mess. :) My thoughts: ================== Personally, I feel that the game's combat system (at least 99% of it) is fine. That idea mentioned back on Page 3 of this thread would be a good idea to add to the game, though. (The one about PK/Non-PK control, and the special sign over the head for Non-PK'ers. It would let both PK'ers and Non-PK'ers have their chances at what they wish to do, and no innocents would be "picked on" and/or "ridiculed". :) ...) But instead of just simply having to exit wildi to switch it, force a 30-minute time limit minimum between changes in addition. That will make PK'ers think twice about trying to mask themselves. (Edit from Post's Author: I personally apologize to Tip.It's Admins that this had to get going in this thread, even though I DIDN'T start it. PM me if somehow a special thread for this Idea comes into existence, PLEASE?) On the side: ================== I ended up seeing a bug the other day I didn't like that another player was exploiting while I was fighting mossies and hopping from world to world. I will not post details here as I don't want other P2P's getting the idea to follow it. (Mr. Gower, please either message me here on Forum.Tip.It's PM System or on RuneScape's Message System, PLEASE??!? I will GLADLY give you the details! My RSN is right here, visible in plain view. :) ...) Alright, enough of me talking, let's hear more thoughts. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull (RSN: D_V_Devnull)
  24. The people to take you to Karamja are male, and they are the ship's crew. The Lady who you pay to get back to Port Sarim, on the other hand, is female. Hope that helps. ~Mr. Devnull
