Excuse me for the short extraction, but are many of us saying that? NO! :x 'Nuff said. IMKPO (In My Kindest Personal Opinion), you're like a one-legged man in a rear-kicking contest at this point. :( ~Mr. Devnull

To believe it...or to not believe it...that is the question..... I agree. Bia_Bf could have just said that to throw us off. :P [QUICK EDIT: Yes, I am STILL watching this thread. LOL... ...] ~Mr. Devnull

I'm really upset at how ignorant parents can be. according to you quote If they don't want their pc damaged, they should not play the game. Also, no damage qill be incurred unless the ads are clicked. Furthermore, this "damage" consists of cookies, which are easily fixable. Ads don't destroy pc's. That idea is born out of the same type of ignorance and gullibility that sparked the Y2K bug. How little you know these days. :boohoo: I was doing some innocent web browsing the other day, and lo-and-behold, all a web page's adverts had to do was try and load and a virus attempted to attack me. So I KNOW it was the advert that was the offender. I was lucky my AntiVirus program protected this PC. And you think adverts are harmless. Thanks for showing how much of a noob you are. BTW, the site and its' adverts that attempted to attack me have been put on block since. ~Mr. Devnull

Hello all, after reading the following from the front page: .......I just kinda felt like a thread needed to be started for at least 2 reasons: 1.) The understanding of what a Tip.It Admin ends up going through just to get here.; 2.) The understanding and respect regarding the misery of being ganged up on by a bunch of people during the holidays... My hope with this thread is to cause an existence of less trouble in player-to-player interaction both in-game and on the Tip.It site and forums, as I have found people getting driven nuts to be rather high in frequency as of late Anyway, I leave it up to all to discuss as I leave my own other thoughts in the following quote box: ~Mr. D. Alright, time I cracked down on this, so I'll quote myself from here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=3652977#3652977 Also, in addition to this, most players have parents whom they live with, and the parents' rules for the PC include this: I have to wonder a bit. Is Jagex intentionally trying to destroy PCs, make children cry, and cause parents to launch valid lawsuits against Jagex Corp.??? This sure is what it sounds like to me. :( ...and what's worse, emotional damage lawsuits, especially class-action ones, can destroy a company... 'Nuff said. And BTW, whoever called Rule 15 equivalent to Order 66 is flat right. In "Star Wars", Order 66 killed off the good side. That's effectively what Rule 15 attempts to do, and therefore, it should be not followed, period. :shame: ~Mr. Devnull

Bah, we'll never figure it out... I've just arrived and looked at the last 4 pages, and it looks like we'll be thrown off in every direction but the right one. *gives up* ~Mr. Devnull

More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
D. V. Devnull replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
It would be unfair if additional space was limited to random event clothes only. On the other hand, if new space were open to any items, then it would be a different story, as it would let players choose what they wish to store in the new spaces... Can't really say much more on that issue for now. :? ~Mr. Devnull -
E-mail display in profiles... NOT HAPPENING
D. V. Devnull replied to D. V. Devnull's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
Hello there. Thank you for the quick and helpful answer, Satenza and Albosky. :) Please lock now? I see no reason for the thread to remain unlocked, seeing as the question is now answered and handled. :-s ~Mr. Devnull -
My 2-3m gp Halloween Drop [OVER]

Well, I see even though I had planned to be at the event, sleep beat me. So I hope you all got nice stuff. See ya around. ~Mr. Devnull -
Hi, Tip.It Forum Admins... Just out of curiosity, why is 'display of'/'mailing to' a person's e-mail not an available option on a user's profile? :-s Would it be possible to make this a user-controlled item again if it was killed for some reason on the forums? I was going through my profile settings this morning and was just kind of surprised to not see the option there. :uhh: Hope to hear back, as well as see some discussion on this from other users... ~Mr. Devnull (p.s.: I went through a little bit of this forum area before posting, and didn't see anything that would explain it, so this is why I am asking... :P  ...)

Nah, phpbb can handle much larger ones - see http://rankings.big-boards.com/?sort=po ... ,all&p=all Those are a lot of posts on those other boards. :P But, can spam in those be cleaned out? :? That is what I am aiming at... From what I've heard so far from the Tip.It's Mods and Admins (And I'm glad they told me... :) ...) through the IRC chat while I was logged in with the Java App, trying to clean out single bad posts on large (30+ pages) threads has become impossible due to problems with timeouts occurring while trying to send the commands to deal with the post in the thread. Admittedly, I wonder if this only affects just some of them and others don't have this problem. :-k Maybe Albosky can give us the low-down on this? :-s As I was getting at before, I suspect this is directly linked to the size of the forums database file overall, and therefore a lot of the posts might have to be switched to an archival database file that would be read-only to deal with the problem. I've realized that there's having to consider the number of logged-in users at any given time, constantly accessing the single database file, which produces an annoying amount of server load and database queries. Then there's all the new posts flying in. Then the private messages and report messages... Ouch. My head is spinning now. #-o ***heads off to relax*** ~Mr. Devnull (p.s.: Nice voice intended, not a rude one... please, don't ask why I am making note of this...) -
Granted, but someone walks up behind you and scares you and makes you drop the whole package-full on the ground... I wish I weren't so twisted sometimes. :? ~Mr. Devnull

You have not provided enough info, so this question can be considered a trick question and therefore be ignored and not answered in any other way. Why do I love to catch people with their mental pants down like that?  ~Mr. Devnull

My 2-3m gp Halloween Drop [OVER]
D. V. Devnull replied to bsram's topic in Tip.Iters Events, Groups, and Teams
So is that 4:00 PAcific time? Yes, it is. Means those who are in the pacific time zone are in luck, but with a heck of a hitch. About 1 hour before most kids' moms are starting to make dinner, and they'll therefore only be around for about an hour, then they have to help with dinner. I have no idea how long the drop party will last, but that could create an issue with how long it will run for. BTW, as I am posting this, there's about 9.5 hours left until the event. ~Mr. Devnull -
More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
D. V. Devnull replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
Eh, actually, there's one problem with fully unlimited bank space. Data file sizes. Jagex stated at some point that the file size of each player's profile is about 5 KB. Multiply this 5 KB each times the about 5 million users there are, and you get 25 GB of Data! I'll admit, the limit could expand to 8 KB each profile, but any more than that right now and it would be out of hand. So yes, adding 12 spaces for F2P and like 16 or 24 for P2P would be fine? But unlimited? Forget it. ~Mr. Devnull (BTW, I am one of the central supporters for the bank space expansion, so please, no flames about my being such a critic... :( ...) -
