  1. Moved to Clues Forum. Rune and gilded armour are level 3 rewards, so if you want those, you'll need to stick to monsters that drop level 3 clues. Level 2 clues will get you addy, not rune or gilded. Look at this sticky for "best place" information: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=340581 And please check our Treasure Trails Guide, it has a very comprehensive list of which monsters drop which clues.
  2. Y2g2003, I think you may have missed my point. I wasn't implying in any way that we have anything to do with Jagex Customer Service or Support. The customer service aspect was only an example of a business that has a monopoly on a certain product or service. I wasn't talking about Jagex customer service. All I was trying to say is that if fansites didn't exist, players would have only one source of information to depend on, written and provided by the very same people that want you to play their game.
  3. Before this gets out of hand, I'd like to comment. We're not planning on going anywhere, folks. So for those of you that keep saying this will kill us, rest assured that it won't. Period. There will always be a need for a "third party" source of information. If you don't have fansites, where does that leave the players? With only ONE source of information, written by the people that run the game. In the business world, that's called a monopoly. Businesses that don't have any competition can do whatever they like, including including providing little or no customer service. Where else is a client supposed to go for his whatever-it-is if there's only one company that makes it? So you see, everyone just needs to take a deep breath and calm down. We're not going anywhere, and I doubt the other major fansites will go anywhere either. We will continue to provide you with an alternate source of reliable, useful information, whether Jagex has a knowledge base or not. ~Kiara
  4. We're not planning on going anywhere, folks. So please stop saying that this will kill us, it won't. Period.
  5. Pious Pete is F2P and P2P. Jagex never said it was members only, it isn't.
  6. The house directly to the North, there's only one:
  7. No, that's incorrect. To get the navigation tools, you don't go to the Observatory. You go to the house NORTH of the Observatory. Refer to our Treasure Trails Guide for more information. Moved to Clues Forum.
  8. Next time, you may want to do a Search before you post a question. There's a sticky on the Help & Advice Board that explains how to take a screen shot, how to get it hosted, and how to post it in the forums. Look here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=71
  9. Look in our Treasure Trails Guide for information on the Zamorak and Saradomin wizards that appear when you dig on level 3 coordinates clues. All the information you need is there. Look in the Coordinates section, under the One Word of Caution heading.
  10. Yes. Start off at the very bottom where the rocks are (at the end of the line where there is no X), then walk the number of paces in the direction indicated. So where it says 8N, walk 8 paces to the North, then turn and walk 6 paces to the West, and so on. When you get to the spot where the X is on your map, DIG. And make sure you have your map WITH YOU, or it won't work.
  11. Well no, you haven't fixed the image. Here's the code you need to put into your post: [img=http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/529/runescapemappiece18tv.jpg] And make sure that there is no checkmark in the "Disable BBCode in this post" box. Otherwise, the code (or ANY code) will not work. In any event, this map is in our Treasure Trails Guide. Please look there for the solution.
  12. Next time, you may want to do a Search before you post a question. There's a sticky on the Help & Advice Board that explains how to take a screen shot, how to get it hosted, and how to post it in the forums. Look here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=71
  13. Next time, why don't you try looking in our Treasure Trails Guide? The information you need is in the guide. Also, this should be in the Clues, Clues, Clues (And Random Events) forum. I've moved the topic.
  14. Go to the Varrock East Mine, like I said. You'll see that your map is just like the real place. Walk to the spot where the X is on your map, and dig. It's that simple.
  15. What do you mean you're stuck? Stuck how? As it says in the guide, the location is the Varrock East mine. That's the mining area just to the Southeast of Varrock, to the Southeast of the henge where the dark wizards are. Use the world map to find the exact location of the mine if you have to. Find the exact spot represented by the X on your map, then DIG.
  16. First, this should be in the Clues Forum, so I've moved it. Second, if you check our Treasure Trails Guide, you'll see that it says you must at least have started the Tourist Trap quest to get to the location for this clue. Please refer to our Tourist Trap Quest Guide for information on the quest and getting slave robes.
  17. We already know about this, and we're in the process of correcting it. However, in the future, if you have any corrections to submit, please do so on the Website Updates & Corrections Board. That's what the board is for. There is no guarantee that the Crew will see your correction if you post it here.
  18. Fine, we'll take the numbers out the next time we update the guide. But, as Gugge says, corrections to our guides should be posted to the appropriate topic on the Website Updates & Corrections Board. Gugge has already provided the link to the Treasure Trails topic in his post, please use it.
  19. Since you're new here. I'll spare you the speech about posting a new question on someone else's topic. But when you have a question, you should start your own topic, not use someone else's. Second, that clue and solution IS in our Treasure Trails Guide. Please look again.
  20. Do you mean the "stranger" wearing a mask and wielding a poisoned dragon dagger? He's not a random event. He's part of the Desert Treasure quest, and appears to attack you when you have the Smoke Diamond on you or in your bank. This can happen at any time, even after you've finished the quest, if you have the Smoke Diamond in your inventory or in your bank.
  21. Please fix your links, you should be using one of the Hotlink for forums links, not the Thumbnail for forums links. And there's no picture of your "position"??? This is what our Treasure Trails Guide says about this map piece: There are paces on the map, follow them. Start at the bottom spot, then take 8 steps to the North. Then walk West for the number of paces shown, then South. Then DIG. And make sure you have your clue with you, or it won't work.
  22. Please try searching again, and make sure you don't have the "match case" button ON. I've double checked, and this clue AND the solution IS in our Treasure Trails Guide, in the Challenges section: Lastly, make sure that you haven't stored an earlier version of the guide in your Temporary Internet Files. Just click "Refresh" on your browser when you're in the guide to make sure you have the most recent version.
  23. An updated version of our Treasure Trails Guide is now available. It contains pics of all the new items.
  24. Please refer to our Treasure Trails Guide, the new clues and their solutions have been added.
  25. Yes, the hrealded kites (identified by the (h) at the end of the name) are new. They were just added as Treasure Trails rewards on 20th February. There are 5 varieties each of the black kite (h), the addy kite (h) and the rune kite (h). Our Treasure Trails Guide has just been updated with all the new information about the new clues, and there are pics of the heralded kites.
