  1. I'm sorry, what? Where on Earth is the evidence for that? Given there's one and half billion Christians, one billion Muslims and only 13.2 million Jews (which roughly adds up to only a half of the world's population), I find it difficult people like me, who have had no experience of God at all, are "far, far, far, far, far outnumber[ed]". We've not even started to verify whether this voice is actually His or not either. There is a difference between listening and hearing. I might not listen to someone, but I'm still hearing them. Once again, good luck backing that statement up. I've yet to come across any incident in my life where a sound has caused by an immaterial object. Why don't you actually try and convince us otherwise. See, part of arguing is making your own positive assertions, and proving them, rather than ignorantly dismissing everything you don't agree with.
  2. You seem to not understand what immaterial means. It simply means without form or not made of matter. Being able to hear the voice of God does not mean he's material. I'm sorry, was this meant to convince us God actually exists? I'm gonna ask a straight question. If God was so eager to prove His existence to everyone, then why can I not hear His voice? You'd think with so many doubters, He'd only be too happy to prove to everyone He does exist. Oh come on, you know as well as anyone you need a material object to make a sound.

My point is that it's a nuisance in a game that tests people on how they fight against one another, not how well they respond to the scenarios around them. I'd play Mario Party for the latter. I'll agree, some of the stages they banned (like MK Circuit etc.) didn't deserve banning since you can still fight on them despite the dangers going on. It's surely not that much of an advantage camping on Mario Circuit... By the way, I just looked on the Smash Wiki, and Norfair isn't a banned stage. What are we arguing about? Mario Circuit is banned because it's a walk off. Instant win for DDD, Falco, and easy wins with characters with strong back throws. That's exactly what I thought when I was researching it, but it's not the reasoning given in the Smash Wiki. It's also at the tournament host's discretion. All in all, I cannot make any sense over that decision. :|
  4. I'm referring to the people who, as you quite rightly pointed out, believe life beings at conception. It seems a logical fallacy to believe that the same God who teaches every life is sacred would destroy those lives by making women have a miscarriage. The second point I made was this. Many pro-life supporters are pro-life because of religious reasons, because every life is sacred. It seems hypocritical to me that they happily label me a "baby killer" when their own God does not seem obliged to the same principle that all life is sacred. I realise it's a very simple view, but from what I'm seeing, it comes down to this. It's fine when God does it, even to someone who wants to have a child, but if someone doesn't want a child, then it's not OK that we do it because God says so. That seems like a ridiculously flawed statement.
  5. Statism is such a loose term, it can be applied to any country on Earth with a government, whether it's run by Obama or not.
  6. Right, so you're asking me to believe in those who say God destroys thousands of "souls" by misconception unnecessarily? And then some people have the audacity to say I support baby killing?
  7. If it was broken, you'd know. But for piece of mind, go see a medical professional. I doubt any one can give a diagnosis on a physical injury over the Internet, least of all on Tip.It.
  8. Yep, even Mr. Astley himself agrees: That said, I wouldn't have given any of those acts the Best Ever award.

Some stages (like Spear Pillar) are banned because the stage interactions are just way too one-sided. If you're stuck in the bottom corridor and the beam comes straight across, you can't avoid it and the other player's just effectively been given a life, which is ridiculous. If the hazard on Norfair was only the vertical column coming in from the side I'd probably agree that it shouldn't be banned, but it's the wall that comes from the background that earns its banning. It's so easy to avoid simply by jumping high enough, but it wastes about ten seconds and it's generally a nuisance.
  11. People who stick the TV on, then persist in talking all the way through it or making supposedly 'funny' comments about the characters. If you wanna talk to me, stop watching TV. If you've nothing to say without TV, get a hobbie.
  12. Wasn't the whole point of GH that you're impersonating someone playing a guitar? If it wasn't, they'd have just left the game as a PS2 controller. That's why DS fails with GH.

This is just one of the many designs out there. WeCsfhtKvs0 Mine was personally this sort of structure: =>= =<= =>= - Rightwards running treadmill | | =<= - Leftwards running treadmill | | | - Wall | | =>==<= There has to be some sort of winning conditions too. If you leave with "No Contest" all the items gained are lost.
  14. I'm gonna prove I'm into you... by going out with someone else. I think your logic gets a C-.
  15. Through fear of being quoted on some mad pro-life website as 'evidence', the unborn foetus is a new life. Half of its DNA is different from the mother. The point is we can argue over semantics all we like, it's not pushing the debate anywhere. The issue to most people who support the choice of abortion is not the issue of life or not, it's the issue of whether any pain is being caused (hence why most stop at the third trimester), and whether it's the lesser of two evils, in other words, the baby thrown into state care would live the shambles of an unappreciated life anyway, so it's arguably a greater evil forcing them to live out that existence, and forcing the mother to undergo the pregnancy against her own will. I realise some of those children do get adopted, and live happily ever after, but let's put that into some sort of context. Not many do, not anywhere near enough to justify putting all unwanted children into care.
  16. It utterly depends on the person. I talked to two friends once (both were girls) about gay porn. One of the things they noted was that lesbianism turns on most guys, but the thought of two homosexual men, even if they were Johnny Depp and George Clooney, didn't interest them in the slightest. If we're talking about whether homosexuality turns one gender on more than the other, it's without doubt guys who get more turned on by [two girls] (why is this word censored btw? Surely homosexuality isn't so much of a taboo subject on Tip.It).
  17. It depends what mood I'm in. Usually I wait for that euphoric feeling that happens when you listen to a song that describes perfectly how you feel. If there a song to describe what little of me remains permanently constant though, it's probably Redundant by Green Day.

Basically, he's so good there's no character in the game which has a better match-up over him on paper, if that makes sense? It's like, even in SSBM with Peach (a high tier character), you could counter her with Young Link because YL is better than Peach in a 1-on-1 fight, even though YL is a bottom tier character. We say YL counters Peach. There's no counter for MK.
  19. I know, Obama choosing to be born black... Shocking.

"-" = a Skill level. MK - - - - - - - - Snake The rest Captain falcon is falcon that much rubbish, seriously jigglypuff before falcon? Why does everyone think Jiggily is the like worst ever? She is actually good. In the sense that you can't ever land successive blows, then yes, Jigglypuff's good. Apart from that, it's a horrible character. And kent, I think you missed a few levels between "The rest" and CF. ;)
  21. I'm not interested in tackling your own self-righteousness. I'm sure there's plenty of other forums for you to do that on, and the topic of abortion has been done to death already here. I made a perfectly good point, that everyone bar you seems capable of understanding.
  22. Oh God no, SSB on DS would be horrible. It's button bashing-y enough on the GC and Wii as it is without doing on those tiny buttons. New Pikmin would be great though, so long as they don't mess around with the simplicity of the game using the Wii's features. The whole point is to do a beautifully simple game as fast as humanly possible.
  23. It pretty much is murder. It's a human. It's alive. Someone is ending it's life. I'd think that would fit the definition of murder. You can argue about semantics or whether people should be able to do it but that's what it is. I realise you perceive it as murder. I do not. Hence the actual point in my post, which you totally failed to address by getting on your moral high horse.
  24. Dude, do you have any class? Obama won and you blame it on him playing the race card.
  25. I'm not sure if someone has posted this already as, frankly, I cannot be bothered to sift through 23 pages to check. This is the best analysis of the Palin effect I have seen though. The fact this has come from Fox News is an even greater indictment of how Palin and the Lehman Brothers collapse lost the election for McCain rather than Obama winning it for himself: MWZHTJsR4Bc That said, I'm not actually convinced "knowledgeability" is a word. Still...
