Quite apart from anything else, even assuming you did do it (which I know you probably didn't) it seems like such an appalling way to handle the situation. To not even tell you in defined terms what you've been accused of, or how many invigilators saw you do it, how much proof they have, or your right to appeal, in full knowledge of the personal implications of those accusations is crass management in the extreme. It's not even like they were on-the-spot. They waited until the end of the exam, had hours to consider their approach and still chose to do it that way. Really poor.
  2. What subject is this for again? >"high level of knowledge" Not RuneScapeology then.
  3. Player-owned Pokemon would make my day. <3:
  4. Good luck with your interview (if it hasn't been already this morning). :)
  5. I don't see a need to put updates like this into beta testing. There's an element of players wanting to fill their boots here. Beta is something used for whole games because the release of new content is so massive, that it's realistically impossible to explore every nook and cranny for major bugs and glitches. The idea is that many, untrained eyes are better for this task than a few people who know what to look for. The Kalphite King by comparison is a tiny update to a much, much larger game. Contrast that with EoC which affected literally every monster you could fight, including quest bosses. The latter was put into a beta, the other was not. The potential for missing major bugs in QA was much greater and therefore a beta was used. There was no need to put this into beta, when reactive fixes are a more viable option.

Well, you're overplaying the variety of jobs. Here the vast majority of part-time jobs occupied by young people are in retail, which is a sector currently going down the proverbial and shedding jobs like there's no tomorrow (which, for a lot of the stores, there isn't unless they do so). I know it's not easy, I know that because I'm 22 and I've already spent two years unemployed, but it's not easy for anyone anywhere. We live in a tough world at the moment, have been for around five or six years now, but in times like these you have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps.
  7. Even I'd draw the line at blind dating. :P
  8. Since when was Virtus the standard armour for anyone with over level 80 defence/mage? I really wish they'd explain how they arrived to the changes they made, because that blog post doesn't mention anything about the defence levels of things like waterfiends and metal dragons (etc.).
  9. I think people are complaining about the set boosts within the context of so many monsters in the game being made much tougher than the 4% boost can account for, rather than complaining about the set boosts themselves. Those who are complaining about the boosts probably aren't appreciating how significant a 4% damage boost actually is in real terms.
  10. Nope, they're actually that high. Are they? Because skill capes show 2307 on the hover-info pop up but in the actual stat interface only show 230. Yes, they are. The same phenomenon is happening to all of the armours. They're all only giving 10% of their displayed stats. So, relatively speaking to other capes, the skillcapes are that high.

The only other thing about cold weather is that it makes you very drowsy. Very almost fell asleep twice during that seminar, and it wasn't a boring seminar either. It was just the prospect of being back in my room, with the heater on and a hot chocolate, wrapped up in a blanket again. In other news, and in a far less dreamy tone: HMV prepared to go into administration as early as tomorrow (today) HMV's main focus obviously wasn't video games, but it's the second video game retailer to go into administration in a year. GAME eventually got out of it (RBS, having gone through its own trouble in the recession, was amusingly the final buyer) but the business was slashed to around half its previous size in the process. I'd like to think there's a future for physical video game releases and CDs, but it's becoming increasingly untenable. In-store advertising space is turned into billboards for online services more and more by the day.

Just woken up at 8.10am. The central courtyard in our Halls is a white sheet of snow. My campus is on an avenue with loads of tall trees overhanging the roads and streets leading into it. I bet it looks picturesque at this time of the day with the Sun just coming up. ...but I have to go to a three-hour seminar instead.

Which equals 5 Celsius. Hardly summer-time weather :P
  14. I don't stalk your every post. Sorry if that upsets you. I stand corrected.
  15. The new 1her weapons are crashing because there isn't any appeal to dual wielded weapons, but you sit here arguing that the "realistic average" player is dual wielding, and that this is the "obvious choice". Clearly not, or there would be much more demand for the new weapons, and hence higher prices. It's completely inconsistent with what you're saying. Who's said that? Feel free to correct me--I haven't checked any meta-gaming forums in a while--but I haven't seen any so-called "meta-gamer" worth their salt actually say that. These people having a fit over dual wields would be the "realistic, average" player you were referring to before, would they? Or are they the meta-gamers who apparently rage over dual wields already for slayer tasks? Your words, not mine. If they're not in either camp, who are they?
  16. So... we're complaining about things not being balanced, but you want to throw a whole tier of items into the game in one go? No thanks. Apart from anything else, that's bad business. If you have something like t90 items, make it last while you can. Drag it out. Dual wield is inferior to 2h, because the offhand weapon isn't taken in count when using abilities. They should have fixed this a while ago, but for some reason, they haven't.... Sorry for complaining so much, but Jagex has to be one of the worst companies I've ever seen when it comes to balancing stuff. There are still so many issues going on that have been in the game since beta and they STILL haven't been fixed. People complain about this but I fail to see the darn issue. 2h is best when using abilities as the whole weapon effects abilities. Dual is best for momentuming slayer tasks as it reduces overkill, but increases speed. Each has its use one for pvm one for slayer, so where's the issue? I don't see the issue either. I did a comparison during slayer tasks between Cmaul and duel CLS and the CLS was much better during momentum. That is how a well made game works, everything is good in it's own niche. Clearly the momentum niche isn't as big as the abilities niche, because CLS on momentum undoubtedly deals less damage per time unit than Cmaul on abilities. The prices of readily available 1-handers+offhanders and 2-handers reflects that difference. You can't argue against stark reality. Furthermore, the assumption that momentum is better for slayer, and abilities for PvM, is completely unfounded from what I've read. More damage is better in both. 'Overkill' is a concept that doesn't apply here.
  17. They're not that big of a company, in spite of all the tubthumping they do following the second rate awards they seem to pick up with ease. I know they shouldn't be having their cake and eating it, but it's still unfair to compare them to the bigger names in the industry. There simply isn't the manpower to balance an update as big as EoC in that short of a time frame.
  18. Dual wield as a concept is inferior, but that doesn't necessarily make the new weapons inferior to the chaotic maul in DPS terms. If that's why the prices are crashing, because that's what people believe, and then it turns out they do dish out more damage, they'll rebound back very quickly.
  19. Surprisingly low, considering the weapons are T90. And repairing ganos in a similar fashion takes 98 Crafting.
  20. OK. I still need to learn that Tiigon = Runar = DIYer.
  21. Excuse my ignorance, but with Ward of Subjugation and DFS (mage) only being around 2m each, what was the significance of the Crystal Shield before this update?
  22. The old mime event is rumoured to be all three of them in human form, but I suppose that could be non-canon.
  23. Except that doesn't give the best experience rates. So... this statement is pointless. Also rejuvenate is getting nerfed with a 300 second cooldown. http://runezone.com/...gbyhunjimko.png All the weaknesses of Kuradal's slayer tasks. You accuse Jagex of not understanding how players trained, and yet one of the main aims of EoC was to remove the "AFK" aspect of combat. As part of that, most monsters had to be made passive. You might not agree with that, but at least concede Jagex knew what they were doing. Well... you are actually. You opened with a lambasting of how your 2002 veteran friend quit exactly because of EoC. As said, rejuvenate's nerf is designed to create a need for food again. Even a very superficial level of background research would have informed you of this upcoming change. If you've read this claim, perhaps you wouldn't mind linking to it so we can all evaluate the claim on its own merits. Words like "most" without evidence are nothing but weasel words and have no place in a properly constructed argument.
  24. Gimme $10,000 as a start. :3 General query. Myself and others are 100% certain I have type 2 diabeetus. problem is I cant afford a doctor to get a 100% claification on that. I've made IMMENSE changes to my diet, cutting back eating, eating fruits, exercise (sorta) but nothing's happening. if anything I put on weight. I'm wondering from any other diabetics, what diet(s) should one focus on assuming I have got type 2 diabetes. No-one on here can tell you if you have diabetes or not. You need to see a doctor to get it professionally diagnosed first, otherwise you might have a wrong diagnosis and anything advised to you on here could potentially cause more harm than good.
