  1. Well, the party is now over. I'd like to thank everyone who came! Here are some pictures, by the way: At the party, someone dropped a rune med right next to me. I would have taken it, but I decided against it. I wanted my gusts to get the drops! :)
  2. Reporting does help. I got quite a few autoers banned recently. :D
  3. Yep, t's time for one of my annual Valentine's Day drop parties! This will be my first RS2 drop party. I'd do one on RuneScape Classic as well, except that I don't have members anymore. :( However, I'll have to admit that I'm a bit broke on RS2. Therefore, I won't be dropping too many good items. I know that some of you were a bit upset that you weren't able to go to the TET's dance on the 10th. But no worries, you can come to my drop party! I will be dropping items on my main character Ixfd64 and on my pure mage Traductus. Location: Falador park, server 3 Time: 2:00 PM Pacific (22:00 UTC/GMT) Who: Everyone is invited (except autoers) I know that not everyone will be able to attend. However, in the future, I do hope to be able to get more items for parties. That way, I can host multiple parties in one day. Ixfd64's drops: 38 mithril ore 10 adamantite ore 30 strength potions (four doses each - made on members' servers!) 1 adamantite hatchet 1 adamantite pickaxe 5 amulets of strength 2 mithril kite shields 12 anchovy pizzas 3 mithril hatchets 10361 gp* Traductus' drops: 33 mithril arrows* 20 adamantite arrows* 18 silver bars 12 cooked tuna 8 cooked swordfish 3 cooked lobsters 8 cut emeralds 26 uncut sapphires *dropped all at once
  4. Well, I've been a member for four months before this, but this is the first time I became member since RS2 came out. And yeah, my skills aren't that great, because I spent the first half of my membership doing quests.
  5. Well, "membership blues" is a neologism I coined based on "Monday blues" and "vacation blues". Basically, it's that longing feeling you get right after your members expires. Those of you who enjoy family vacations may get that longing feeling after you get home. Those feelings are especialyl strong at times if you are busy with work. Well, "membership blues" are somewhat similar. Do any of you get that feeling? Well, I'm kinda suffering from "membership blues" right now. :(
  6. Yeah, I'll have to agree. :\
  7. This is a terrible tragedy. I hope that his family does not suffer too much through this ordeal. May his spirit be in peace forever.
  8. Well, my one month of membership just expired. As it is often said, "time flies when you're having fun." I only joined for one month, as my classes are getting busy. I might join again after finals in May. Anyways, here are the things I got done: RS Classic: Finished Legends Quest, the only quest I hadn't done; got herblaw from level 45 to 50, agility from 54 to 56, thieving from 76 to 77, and fletching from 62 to 63. RS2: Did all quests EXCEPT Monkey Madness, Mourning's End 1 & 2, Devious Minds, and Desert Treasure; got from 1 to 45 slayer, 1 to 43 farming, 76 to 77 thieving, 54 to 57 agility, 62 to 63 fletching, and 45 to 53 herblore; got from 87 to 89 combat, plus a few other f2p stats. I'll probably work on my combat and runecrafting as a free user. I did meet some cool people on members, though, including Raekiel, Deathslash22, Secrethotluv, and too many others to name. I'd like to thank Battleman290 for giving me advice on quests, and Cane Wizardx for lending me a dragon dagger(s). Without it, my life would have been much more difficult.
  9. Or, you get level 40 prayer and use Protect from Missiles. :P
  10. Lol, that wouldn't work, noone would IMHO have the mood to do that, it's so monotonous. Yeah, it would be pretty boring. Assuming that you are legit, of course.
  11. If you want to earn back money very quick: Get members and cut magic logs. People often pay 1k each. 500 logs/day x 1000 days = 500 million gp. Even for just a week, that's an easy 3.5 million.
  12. Thanks, but I'll pass. Real dances are better! :P *must resist flaming/trolling*
  13. Anyone notice how Jagex never announces "bad" updates? They just hope that we don't notice.
  14. I wonder if it is possible to kill item-collecting autoers like we did on RSC. In RuneScape Classic, some players found out ways to kill certain autoers. For example, if a player was using a bot (not a macro) to collect feathers, then it was often possible to drop feather trails to lead the autoers to dangerous monsters where they got killed. Theoretically, this should work on RS2 as well. Has anyone ever tried to kill RS2 autoers this way? I'd love to hear about it. Maybe I'll hunt for RS2 autoers when my membership expires.
  15. For a short time, people were able to cheat in this way, but only on RS Classic. For a few days (not long after the RS2 launch), Jagex allowed players to move their RS2 items to RS Classic. Players would collect arrows on the RS2 tutorial island and transfer them to their RSC accounts and the arrows wouldn't get deleted. Of course, this doesn't work now.
  16. I think that there's more bans to follow. Not too long ago, 5,000 RSC players were banned. However, those were members only. A reasonable estimate is that since RS2 is much harder to auto on, only 1 out of 10 people who would normally auto on RSC would auto on RS2. So, 5,000/10 would be 500. But there are about 20 times more RS2 players than RSC players, so 20 x 500 would be 10,000. And suppose that there are 10 times more f2p players than members. That means that there's about 100k autoers! I'd say that my guess is reasonable. Recently, someone here said that he saw 25 autoers in one place, but only about four of them got banned.
  17. This is like what happened to the LUE board on GameFAQs.
  18. I'm gonna play both. :)
  19. It's been so long... I haven't been a member for, like 2.5 years? Oh well, it's time to start working. :P
  20. Just about every Tuesday, there is a "Hall Association" meeting at my university dorms. To encourage more people to attend, a ticket is given to each person who shows up. Well, just today, we had an auction where the tickets were used as the currency. In the event of a tie, the top bidders had to break the tie by playing rock-paper-scissors. I was told that I had seven bids, which was higher than anyone else. The next "richest" people had five bids. So when they put the bike up for auction, I bid six. Instant winner! I still cannot believe it. I estimate that it is worth at least $200. Sure, it's still an average bike, but since I got it for free, I shouldn't really be complaining! :P Now all I have to do is hope that it doesn't get stolen.
  21. Instead of letting f2p people on members' servers, why not give all the f2p servers "member" status?
  22. Well, out of the 65 tree spirits I've fought, this is the first one that dropped an uncut emerald. For the record, here is a log of the tree spirits I've fought.
  23. Runescape seems to have a few fads. What are the ones you know about? I know a few: 1. "pl0z", etc - a variation of the newbie "plz". It seems to have started from autoer commuinities, but has spread to legit people. 2. "dancing" - people "dance" in Runescape by following each other in circles. It seems to be very evident on server 3. 3. Also, I don't know if this is a fad or not, but many female charatcers seem to like dressing in a white top in a rune skirt.
  24. The criteria for being an administrator is that you need to have about 1,000 edits, as well as at least three months of activity. If you are nominated, people will have one week to vote whether you should be promoted.
