Let me know what times you can actually fight someone at with a 1.8k+ rank. I can win 9 times out of 10 on a summoning\no food fight with unicorn, and I'd love to play more. Yes, the equipment works on non PVP worlds, and I wouldn't mind some miasmic barraging there either, if I could find a few games that I could play -.-

No it's not. It's a max of 409 bars an hour, as time by n0valyfe. Someone apparently did a rough timing of cannonballs, rounded it up to 500, and threw it out there as a 'fact'. It's always been parroted, but the reality is significantly worse then that.

It's not 'kind of crap'. It's pathetically easy to get 20k points doing almost nothing in a game, which will net you almost as many points as a 86k+ score, and you'll still have a ton of fun PKing for most of the game.

Ew. Veracs skirt 'tis the best for leg armor, no debate there. Proslyte and +10% prayer is going to be the best. Bandos's +4 strength is going to net you roughly 1/60th more XP\hour, and the price drops will probably cost much more then the small amount of time it might save.

Your choices, as a cannoner: #1 Fight the meleer for the full world after asking politely to leave, as I always do, simply because it's easier then fighting #2 Hop to an empty world, and get half the XP Your choices, as a meleer: #1, try to fight the cannoner, making a small impact on his XP and getting much less drops\XP then you would normally #2 Hop to an empty world, and get the same XP as a full world and much more then if you tried to fight. It isn't much of a choice.

BGS = EW, only good for a few boss monsters. Bandos = EWW, with no discernible use. Guthans = meh, summoning has replaced it. Train summoning or buy a SGS, I have one and it's great for slayer.

It has +12 less, but is definitely better. SGS + proslyte works best; if you do it right, you won't have to drink a potion for the entire task

Wouldn't bandos + 10% + a ppot be slightly better? =p If it was, +15% or piety would be better :lol:

I'd like to be playing NOW. Go back in a day with a crappy combat system, half the skills, nowhere near as many weapons and horribly unbalanced game elements? No thanks, everyone sees the past through rose-tinted glasses.

Oooh I totally love people like you.... NOT! You dont have any more right to a full world than a meleer/mager or ranger. We all pay to play and as such we *all* have the same entitlement to training spots. Sadly this is the kind of attitude that gets cannoners a bad name... arrogance speaks volumes. As a cannoner, I can get double the XP at a full instead of empty world. Now, would I be nice, waste 30 seconds, and hop to an empty world to get half the XP for the next few hours, or be 'mean' and make the meleer waste 30 seconds hopping to the 100- world, where he and I both get max XP? I'm going to make the meleer hop. Runescape is just a big competition anyway. The meleer can easily be polite and spend 30 seconds hopping rather then make me spend hours getting half the XP I would otherwise.

Between torso or plate, it's not worth it. But proslyte and +10% strength takes the cake for slaying.

He responded that he would stock nats in RESPONSE TO WHAT I TOLD HIM. I answered the question if superheating is more efficient than furnace, which the answer to is yes. And what you told him was in response to his saying 'great, is that more effiecent then running to a furnace?' which was in response to weiyaoli's saying that they COULD be superheated. The answer to the OPs question is NO, and it is not more efficient because you CANNOT do it.

When I train slayer, there's only a couple of worlds with 1950+ population. Most of them are already taken by cannoners. All the rest are taken by meleers. When I find one that doesn't have a cannoner, I'm going to kick out the meleer. I'm the one that needs 1900+ population, he doesn't. It's not harsh or cruel, it's simply true.

To all the people saying 'it isn't fast enough to pee, it should be lengthened' (which seems to be the point of this thread): Apparently, you don't realize that that is WHY the rule is in place. The rules are against BEING AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD. You need to pee, you hit log out. Reading the forums is the only reason I can see for it being removed, and very few activities take more then a minute. So no, it's good where it is.

Simple mathmatics. Regular combat = 100k XP\hour = 200k XP\hour with SC armor. 200k XP\hour / 60k XP\hat = 3.33 hats\hour. Hat repair = 20 points = 66.6 points\hour. 3 games an hour = 22.2 points\game. 22 points\game = 26,000 points in a game, EASILY obtainable with tons of time left over for fun\fighting. If you wish for XP alone, 82,000 points in game = 25 points after is easily obtainable. Yes, it's worth it.

yeah its really laggy playing on a new zealand world in the us Actually that's not *completely* true. Its all how (or where) the packets are sent. For example: When surfing the web, lets say you go to http://www.tip.it The data does not go straight from your computer to Tipit's server. The data is split up in "packets" and sent all across the world wide network finding different paths to the easiest way to get to the server. Sometimes a packet might end up going from your computer to Japan, California, and then finally to the Tipit Server because that is the fastest route. The same principle is for any data being sent on the web, including Runescape. Most times severs next to you will be faster, but thats not always the case. Say you live in Florida, data might be sent to UK and back before it gets to the sever in your region, while server 2 could be a direct link to California. Even though the server in california is farther away, it might be faster, if that makes sense? But as for your specific problem it could be a number of things, such as old java versions, busy internet, or a slower computer. That's very, very rare. As you said, it finds the FASTEST route, so the closer a server is the less lag there will be, as a general rule. It's not people playing that causes lag. On my high end system with a fast connection I NEVER lag. Period. Asutralia servers, US servers, french servers.. I get zero lag. It's YOUR computer or internet connection, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with Jagex or Runescape.

Here's the facts, again: SUPERHEAT CAN MAKE 2 COAL + 1 IRON INTO A STEEL BAR, BUT IT CANNOT BE USED TO MAKE THAT STEEL BAR INTO A CANNONBALL. Period. Tested by me, personally, with a screenshot for proof.

It's too expensive with too little of a magic bonus. You can swap the staff for an ancient one, but I prefer the wand. That way you don't have to worry about autocasting a spell you didn't want to (say, blood barrage when your trying to freeze someone).

+ Arcane Shield = +207 slash defence, +135 range defence, +121 magic offense. Best offensive-oriented outfit IMO. I keep whip + torag body + verac's plateskirt + Zuriel's Staff in invo, and when I come across a ranger, I miasmic barrage until that hits, then switch to whip\torag body\plateskirt and own him with melee. It's the ultimate hybrid outfit.
