  1. Avansies, fire cape would be tough for a first time, until 70 attack\defence and salve ammy, experiments are pretty good for melee XP. Smith gold bars :-w
  2. Not a bad rant, I was expecting barely readable spam. 1. They will probalby be taken out after the christmas event is over; at any rate, they make EVERYONE right click to get the drop, so it's not really a disadvantage. 2. Sounds like something that could be fixed 3. I don't even know anyone that uses cornucopia :? 4. Your computers fault, play on a different world if you don't like. I do fine with it, but what are the 'select few' things you need to hear? Decent suggestions overall, certainly better then most rant-forum-quality stuff.
  3. CAP LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL I sincerely hope this is a joke\spam post. As for the OP, it's pretty simple - find the highest level spot you can near a furnace\away from enemies, make equipment for that spot, make a summon + some scrolls, then make arrows until the end of the game, when you deposit all of of them with the summon's special. 80k+ points per game.
  4. Err.. barrows gloves can be used in CW, making it +10 strength from str ammy vs +7 from fire cape\helm. 3 hit u, the max with AGS is 78 on a player outside of CW with the old armor. I've personally been hit for that, seen it in dozens of vids, and hit 77 without a fire cape.
  5. Quick chat glitch :?
  6. Gone? Maybe you've missed something, but the duel arena is still there, and pk'ing is quite possible on PvP worlds or in the BH minigame. Staking rares and stuff... ¬_¬ And PKing is nowhere near as good as the PVP worlds. Random drops? Woooo. >_< Also Bounty Hunter failed miserably and everyone knows that. #-o My drops from 10 minutes in PVP worlds. They aren't random, it's all about how long you've been out. Staking affected perhaps .01% of the population. The new dual tournaments are FAR better. BH is fine, I enjoy it. How different is it from regular PKing? It's quite a nice replacement, and saved RS from ACTUALLY dying of RWT.
  7. Had I video software I would have recorded it. The time bar was halfway down when I killed the 98(It seemed like 3 minutes, give or take 1 minute). And I can tell you the exact conversation I had with the 65. Me:*after hitting about 5 0's* "WTF? Why can't I hit you?" Him: "Because I'm good :p" Me: "You must have at least 70 def" He starts casting spells, I see this as I die. Him: "Nope, only 53 def :p" By this point I am extremely aggravated and try to log out, my frustration grows when I see you have to go to the exit. After searching for about 20 seconds I finally find it. Bar = 10 minutes. You should send a bug report then, as something is terribly wrong. Any level 80 can take me down in a matter of seconds if I don't run.
  8. It does, just like the rest of the armor. But it's not worth using for ranging, see my thread in GD.
  9. Yep, find a friend with 75+ crafting. I can do it if you want, hit me up with a tip.it PM and I'll come when my SC game finishes.
  10. What the...? I'm level 135, and I can get taken down in ~30 seconds by a level 80-. Your taking 3 minutes to kill a level 98? You hit 11 0s in a row on a level 65, who turns around and 3 hits you? Your either lying or experiencing a huge glitch, in which case you should send a bug report.
  11. Yes, they are rangable. Equivalent of around 20 - 25 crimson per hour, similar or slightly less to what you'd get at dusties without prayer\pots\summon.
  12. Read the thread. I love the skill, but the XP and profit sucks. Camp: Dusties: 65k XP, ~75k profit Monkies: 85k XP, ~140k profit If you can spare 30 seconds every 10 hours for banking, monkies become 102k XP, 190k profit Are the zombies good charm droppers? Decent
  13. 16.7 hours between repairing lasts for all but the longest camping trips, but it is common. Then again, so are whips. Bandos is OK for camping if it has enough defence that your healing method can keep up; with a unicorn, it's great. Then again, I always use +10% strength\piety with proslyte\verac skirt when I camp or slay, so I guess neither of them are better.
  14. What do you mean 'says im a slayer nerd'? FWIW, I love slayer and plan to keep training it. No pots at dusties = ~65k per hourish? Your training with 22.5% +20% + 15% = 57.5% less attack AND strength compared to Armored Zombies, on a monster that is much more spread out, far more crowded, with a lot of time wasted picking up and alching drops, and a long distance from the bank. You do, of course, realize that you can 'camp' at Armored Zombies with BTP just as well as dust devils? You'll be getting 22.5% + 20% = 42.5% more attack and strength compared to dust devils, at least twice the profit, nowhere near as crowded, and much closer to a bank? Of course, your losing out on a ton of XP by not banking every 10 hours for another round of super sets, but it can be defined as 'camping', and youlll be getting 85k+ XP and 160k+ profit per hour. ~50k an hour was assumed to be using (sane) training methods with pots\+10% strength and a summon for greatly increased XP. You could possibly make slightly more then that by skipping those, but the huge drop in XP is not worth it.
  15. 10+ hours could easily be considered camp. I've been camping IRL on trips that lasted less then that. And you can't get over 50k at dusties with only stackables\pots. And you still have to bank every 15 hours or so for pots. If you do it without pots... your simply wasting time.
  16. Are you using the brawling gloves or something in combination with them? Or do you get some sort of bonus XP for skilling in PvP worlds that I'm unaware of? Also, how do the armor sets work? Couldn't you get more melee XP than 100k if you wore like a clay torso and legs at the monkey zombies? Would this double your chinning XP if you wore range clay? Mage XP if you were barraging rock lobs? Drop potential from being out in PVP. Friend of mine got a zerker + infinty top on the first kill, mages book + whip on the second, fury on the 3rd from killing his friend with 26k GP after being out a couple hours in a hot spot. I've got 10+ hours of potential and I'm still trying to build it. Yes, you could get 200k melee XP\hour, but the combat armor takes longer to earn then it's worth.
  17. Depends on how he defines camp. Here's his options: Camp at Zombies for 10+ hours getting 102k XP + 190k profit\hour, using 30 seconds every 10 hours to bank with the extremely close telespot. Camp at Dust Devils for 100+ hours getting ~70k XP + 50k profit\hour, using 5 minutes every 100+ hours to bank with a long walk. If he trains 100 hours at each, he'll be behind 3m XP and 14m cash from Dust Devils. So if he really has an aversion to 30 second bank trips every 10 hours, I guess dust devils would be the best. But he's losing out on massive amounts of cash\XP.
  18. Ok, fine, 10+ hour trips aren't camping per se. But camping somewhere like dusties is going to get you ~75k XP and ~40k profit, so why on earth would you do that? Same goes for Ankous. The lack of piety OR salve ammy (e) pretty much kills dusties.
  19. Attack him and have him stand in the middle of the square of people you want to hit. The defence level\armor of whoever you are attacking is what's used. That's why in ape atoll you rarely miss on one or two skeletons, but sometimes miss on all 9 at once - you missed on the first one, so everything else missed.
  20. For using the forum, I just put RS in a corner and brows like normal. That's the only reason I can see for getting rid of the log out timer, but that's really not a problem. And there's quite a few reasons to keep it around, namely so that people can't go to the bathroom\feed the dog while playing.
  21. It's one of my fight pits stratgeys, and was the basis for one of the major Sara GWD glitches. Have a friend in no armor stand next to your enemy in fight pits, and it's like hitting someone in no armor. I haven't confirmed that it splashes from human->monster, but I would assume so. Also, when you do it, just give me a heads up that it worked - I haven't tested in a long time, and I don't know anyone who does, so it could have been fixed in one of the little bug updates they do. Doubt it though.
  22. I'm pretty sure that it's only 60k XP. At any rate, it's not the 110k XP it would need to be to make range worth using with a cannon.
  23. There are two kinds of meleer people: Ones who think strength bonus owns all Ones who think defence is the key to sucess #2 will win the vast majority of the time. So 450k is spent on torags, and they go on their merry way smacking the tar out of bandos and dragon, while paying 6k an hour for repair costs. Torag's plate = 3k per hour in repair costs of steady combat. D plate = 12.2m, and falling like crazy. You would have to spend 4,066 hours in combat to pay off the dragon plate, and even then the cost of extra food\pots you would have to use with dragon would probably cost more then the 3k per hour repair cost. There is NO reason to buy it besides looks\expense. And it looks like crap + bandos chestplate will soon cost more.
  24. They nerfed it from unlimited to 9-11 people hit by the spec. Didn't matter for chins. @ robert: If they have low defence\no armor it would work OK but not great. A secret about chins: The only defence level that matters is the defence of your target. So if you have one person standing in the middle with 1 defence and no armor, and 8 other people around him wearing full torags with 99 defence, you'll hit everyone almost every time.
  25. 1. Switch tracks: it's the death of 1 vs. 3. Either way, I'll have the other choice on my conscience the rest of my life; I'd rather know I killed 1 person but let 3 live then the other way around. 2. I don't know. I don't know if I could kill a baby in cold blood. Possibly smoother as much as possible to make it be quiet. 2a. I wouldn't kill it. I'd try to muffle it as much as possible with a blanket, but I wouldn't want to live knowing I'd killed one of my own children. Besides, there's always a chance of getting out of the camps.
