Lag is frustrating
1) My pc kicks [wagon]. If it can handle WoW it can handle runescape. 2) Like I said, my internet is great. I almost never lag. I just got unlucky and got the one in a million lag [bleep]e at the worst possible moment. Really? What server were you on. There's usually an angry tirade of RSOFers after each server glitch. Like I said, I've had it happen mabye 4 times during the years I've played RS, and each lasted less then a second.

Determining if SC tools\armor are worth using
Ehh? I can testify that smithing hammer lasts for 60k. Perhaps others don't. This might require further testing...

How Much is Your Account Worth to You?
This argument is comparable to playing sports unprofessionally. I played football in highschool all four years. Our team made playoffs every year, and the seasons was probably around 12 weeks including two-a-days. During the season we practiced 2 hours a day after school, excluding friday, where we instead had a game.. So thats 11 weeks of 4 days a week. 44 days, 88 hours of practice during the regular and post season. also, we have 11 games, that required at least 6 hours of our time. 66 hours of game play. We had 1 week where we practiced 5 hours a day, 5 days. Thats 25 hours. 88+66+25=179 hours a year. 4 years is 636 hours spent on football alone(I also wrestled and pole vaulted)....So at your calculations, for playing football in highschool, something I enjoyed, I should receive £3,180...And that doesn't even include weightlifting all year as part of the program. So with your logic, a higschool football player should recieve £3,180 a year. Too bad that robots can do the same work that everyone else does to get their account to this (insane) value...and not to mention gold farmers in china would be willing to do it for mere pennies. A high school player can't make 5 pounds an hour easily. A Chinese gold farmer can't make 5 pounds an hour easily. Neither of them have those jobs available. I do. I can line up more work then I could ever do for 30-40$+ an hour as an independent computer consultant. My time is worth much more to me then a high school athlete's or a Chinese gold farmer.

Determining if SC tools\armor are worth using
Yes, I'm almost positive. I haven't tested the exact XP, but it's very close to 60k. I'm assuming it's exact, as it would make more sense then some random number. And yes, mining granite is 120k+ XP\hour. Which is amazing for me, as I love SC but hate mining. And I have to get 80 for SC, so it's even better. I'm smithing in a PVP world hotspot as we speak, getting 130k XP\hour 8-)

Places to camp...
Bandits = 80k XP\hour Zombie monkes @ your summon = 108k XP, 120k loss per hour Armored zombies = 103k XP, 190k profit per hour. If you make less then 4,900,000 GP\hour, Armored zombies are the best training spot in Runescape for you. If you make over 4,900,000 GP\hour, Zombie monkies are the best training spot in Runescape for you. Simple as that.

The 2 Sides of Ice Barrage. [Answered]
All previous replys were wrong. It's been updated, but here it is: When you first hit an opponent and freeze him, you'll see the full 'ice cube' animation. If you cast ice barrage and your opponent is already frozen, you will simply get a blueish expanding circle, similar to low alch, denoting that they are already frozen. This circle will also appear for 2 seconds after your opponent is unfrozen, indicating that they are still immune. This was updated a while ago, around when GWD came out. It's very helpful for mages, as it allows you to see if your opponent has been frozen for a full 20 seconds or not.

Determining if SC tools\armor are worth using
I've seen a lot of confusion as to what skills are worth training or not worth training with Stealing Creation items, so I thought I'd post this as food for a thought, so to speak. Now, in the average game of Stealing Creation, most players get around 25-35k point points per game. It works on a very changing scale; from 1-25k points, you get a large amount of 'reward points' at the end of the game (http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarticle.ws?article_id=836), but beyond that you get very few points; while 22 points (25k in game points) is easily gotten in the first 10-12 minutes, getting the current maximum seen of 145k points will only net you 25 end game points! As such, the most usually gotten in a game is 24 points, and most players choose to get the 'easy' 22 ponts at the beginning, or even less, and spend the rest of the game PKing. A game is 20 mintues game time + 2 minutes waiting time, so 22 minutes per game. For simplicity's sake, we will assume that 22 points are an average, and not count the time taken to get too\from the minigame location, as these vary widely by player. As such, we will obtain exactly 3 tools per hour. Each tool offers double XP for 60k XP in a skill. This means that 1 tool = 30k XP for free, with only the time taken to obtain the tool as a draw back. Therefore, stealing creation = 90k XP\hour. This allows us to use a very simple method for determining if a skill is worth using SC items on: If you can obtain over 90k XP\hour in that skill, it is not worth using. If you can only obtain less under 90k XP\hour ini that skill, SC tools are worth using. Sample calculations: Melee can be trained at 100k XP\hour with 190k profit at Armored Zombies. Stealing Creation armor is not worth using. Range can be trained at 160k XP\hour with 0 profit using a combination of Chinchompas and Avansies. Stealing Creation armor is not worth using. Smithing can be trained at 60k per hour using addy bars to make bolts. Stealing Creation items are worth using. Now, this does not cover a fairly important point: Profit. On a skill that loses money, SC is more likely to be useful; it shortens the time losing money training the skill. The reverse is also true; on a skill that makes money, SC is less likely to be useful. However, this is not as much of an issue for most skills; the tools SC provides are for more intermediate skills which neither lose nor gain large amounts of GP during training. Smithing is somewhat of an exception in that it loses large amount of money; this makes SC tools very good for smithing. This also does not account for how enjoyable a skill or SC is; if you find a particular skill like mining very tedious, but enjoy SC, it will make it more likely that you will do SC for your tools, even if it means a small amount of time lost, simply because you can spend less time doing something you dislike (mining) and more time doing something you like (SC). Some of you may consider this common sense, but I felt like posting it after all the incorrect info I saw being given on SC items. Mods, please move if this is in the wrong section. [hide=]In other unrelated news, I lost my void range to a d clawer in a PVP world an hour ago. I'm not happy.[/hide] EDIT: Posters have been saying that they get XP amounts different then 60k per tool. In that case, the required XP to break even is (XP per tool / 2) X 3.

New question - SC Tactics for points
Range XP w/ chinchompas + avanseies = 160k an hour. Doubling range XP = 30k XP from 1 20 minutes game, roughly. So your getting 90k XP per hour from SC, but you can get 160k XP training range normally, almost DOUBLE. So your wasting a lot of time using the armor for cannon.

Attack style help
it does matter. You'll deal more damage per minute on attack then controlled or defence.

Attack style help
Never use defensive. Use accurate if you hit less then 50% of the time, which is true for all boss\PVP fights.

Lag is frustrating
Yea, I've had that happen 3 or 4 times in my RS carrier. Those rare lag [bleep]es ARE Jagex's fault, but are incredibly rare and not that big of a deal. I've never even DCed from one, it's just a quick freeze for ~.5 seconds. :

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Got 76 smithing, then a random, then level 2k milestone. :-#

Lag is frustrating
Latency is a mutual thing. Lag is not. Yes, it's sort of Jagex's fault that their servers are too far from Roberts, but latency is an average of 20-40 miliseconds, nothing big to worry about. Lag and DCs (which is what he's really talking about, not lag) are because of one of the two: #1: His computer, which cannot handle runescape #2: His internet connection, which is not reliable enough for runescape Say what you want, it's HIS fault. his internet connection is not necessarily his fault, as the isp could be doing maintainance meaning a reduction in the capacity of information it can receive/send, or it may just be a busy time, so the isp is having to use more servers etc. Do not say it IS HIS fault, as it is not always his fault, equally however it is not jagex's fault. If his internet connection is not reliable for runescape, it is HIS fault. Pay more to upgrade to a higher tier. I have NEVER had problems with ISP lag, and despite servicing thousands of computers for decades, I have never seen bandwidth problems from a major ISP that would result in lag in Runescape. However, wireless connections CAN lag - hence why I run a CAT 6 cable to my laptop. Old, cheap networking hardware CAN lag. Old, slow computers DO lag. Problems with your wiring CAN cause lag. All of those are things that YOU are responsible for fixing. So fix them and the lag will go away.

are they worth it?
No, the ammo is too expensive and the bonuses too small. Use rune c bow + broad bolts to train range, and whip to train melee.

[sarcasm]No, Jagex lied to you.[/sarcasm]

Closed.
The only time I've ever heard about it being faster was some mention from the quest guy about it, but I recently tried to find evidence and found nothing about it on the KB. I concluded that the 'faster' was talking about it being able to autocast. I know it isn't noticeable, if it does. Someday I should test it in the duel arena with a friend, but meh.

Chins
Not worth it unless you make large amounts (2m+) per hour. I don't remember the exact XP, I believe it's around 245\chin, not enough to make it worth it.

What to cannon and make money beside ice trolls
Both of those things will lose a lot of money. The only other place is walaskis (sp) in waterbirth dungeon, and they don't drop much besides charms. Ice trolls are literally the only thing that will make you money. You can stop making threads like this and update your previous ones.

Defence Xp
Yup, constant piety and a +20% boost from salve is a plus. Maxed stats will get north of 100k\hour there, yours should get 85-90k. SC armor would double that for 2-2.5 hours for 200k XP.

TzHaar Caves.
You cannot melee them, period. You will get quickly owned, and you can't afford the health when you have to survive dozens of them. D hally is an option, but is slow.

Pick the name i should use for my char
It's not your fault. Immature = thinking stupid things are awesome and make you look cool, then in 10 years looking back and thinking 'wow, I can't believe I actually did that'. It's genetics, your frontal lobes just haven't matured enough. It's actually the fact that the centers of his brain devoted to anticipating consequences of current actions haven't fully developed yet. The reason why teenagers often make bad decisions. Don't use the F O X Y one, because I'm willing to bet that you're not in real life. And it makes you sound insecure and shallow. Same thing with W A N A B, although it just sounds like you're sad and lonely. Don't use the two offensive ones, they're the best way to get banned and lose whatever work you put into those characters. And they sound like the kind of thing that a 13-year-old thinks is awesome, which makes all other age groups hate them by default. Also, they're offensive and you're projecting "hey, I'm an insensitive jerk!" by playing a character with them. The one with the v's is okay, but no one will be able to easily spell it or understand it when they're talking to you. Go with Realmknightt. Either way, it's not something he can control :P

do aviansies still work?
Drop rate is exactly the same as it was on the day they came out. Addy bars are rising due to SC update, making them even better.
