Oh. I didn't realize this was a problem specific to mage. What effect is it that prevents melee and range from this horrific circumstance? Not at all. I deep wildy PK in FTP all the time, and it's not like I can't see the ground for PKers. I'd advise going out and scouting the area, around Port Sarim and Moss Giants tend to be less then crowded.
-
Fire blast: 59 magic. Miasmic Rush: 61 magic. Are you aiming for that level gap between 59 and 61? That takes less then an hour to train, and a few hours of PKing will push you over it. What a waste of Jagex's development time  Why on earth would I do that? I already have plenty of good mages with REAL stats, namely 60 mage (really? 85 magic?), 1 defence (what robes am I aiming for, again?) and 1 prayer (I certainly don't need that +15% accuracy, the poor 36-36 meleers I'm fighting will be too busy eating to notice splashes) I also wasn't aware that one could be piled in single way combat, and all of the good PK areas are relatively uncrowded. Unless melee has a superpower long distance piling attack that works in single way, I'm not going to lose any sleep over this. Please. I maxed out magic long before melee, and I was 94 magic at 106 combat, and a pretty dang good PKer then. Of course, how would you know? How many level maxed mage tanks have you PKed with in PTP? Oh wait, zero. PJing, what? Like I said, there's not enough people around to PJ. Since you seem to have a hard time with reading comprehension, I can repeat my points again so you can remember to argue against them: PTP Magic is overpowered, able to take down any other combat style, and needs a drastic nerf before even thinking about updating it. FTP magic is vastly overpowered until it maxes out at level 60, and could use higher level spells and a major nerf of the low level ones.
-
Too powerful, and it's hard to catch all the items. It's kind of like a POH bank, which isn't a bad idea in and of itself, but would require serious restrictions and was labeled technologically unfeasible by Jagex :P

It aint the average computer, Celeron's don't even exist any more. Intel finally figured out the lack of cache severely degraded speed. And since adverts are all about the CPU time, that's probably the cause.

Do you have your time zone set correctly in the control panel?

The changes don't follow anything close to a pattern, it varies from day to day according to the free market. Really, perhaps you could show the area where you put it in. All I saw was that "Your GE would adjust for changing price" Fair enough, I"ll take another look. Then the loaning pric ewould change according to the buying price? What on earth are you suggesting. Maybe you'd better explain what you mean by limits. Right now your suggesting a GE where a buyer\loaner can set the price they want, so I can loan out my dragon scimitar or BGS for 1m an hour to RWT all the money I want.
-
Nope, just sarcastic and businesslike. Business as usual. I'm quite cheerful today. Nice to know. So, how's your GE going to compensate for this? Again, how's your GE going to compensate for this? No, really? What's your GE going to do about it? Uhh, your signature? So, I haven't seen anything from you besides 'yeah, your right'. I'm asking what your GE is going to do about it, not for confirmation that I am indeed correct. I already know I'm right, I don't need a second opinion.
-
So now I can collect my bones and planks from the GE straight from my house? No way, construction and prayer are easy enough as it is.
-
Mine doesn't. $1050. Core 2 Duo OCed to 3.66, GTX 260 OCed, 8 GB OCZ Reaper @ 1066 Mhz, and I don't lag a bit. It's a 1000 dollar 6 month old computer, nothing close to top of the line.

@ Zero: It's really quite simple. No, they can't be as mature as adults. Shall I quote my study yet a third time? You have yet to come up with a page that conclusively proves 10 year olds brains are exactly identical to 30 year olds, despite decades of medical evidence to the contrary. I've been repeating it for pages now, and I really think you should get some evidence and or read my posts before yelling it again. I like arguing, but I don't like having posts copied and pasted again and again after I've responded to them a dozen times. -
Yep, that was in your perfect little world before Zuriel's staff crashed and made the cost irrelevant. Knock out the rangers attack speed, and watch him die. Nope. Do all of those have an 80%+ chance of hitting both specs? Hint: No. It's mages accuracy that make it overpowered. Come to think of it, I've NEVER been PJed when fighting with mage in my usual spots. It's very rare to see more then one person at a time. Again, your completely missing the point of what mage is. Armor provides the vast majority of the boost - you could introduce a powerful spell with -50 magic attack, and it would be horrendously overpowered. Don't try and use magic bonus to compensate for a staff, because the staff bonus is only a tiny part of overall magic accuracy. Your certainly welcome to do that. Unfortunately, Ad Hominem applies quite nicely in this situation - namely that I'm accusing you of knowing nothing about members because your FTP. Unfortunately, I'm also right. Your welcome to spout that all over tipit, I'm sure it will further help your cause. This argument isn't about if you can pay, it's about if you should be arguing PTP spells when your FTP. The answer, unfortunately, is NO. You've never tried anything your talking about. My "blind man choosing a room color' fits perfectly.

No, that is NOT what I disagreed with! Do I need to repeat it for you a few more times? Why are you so stubbornly trying to convince me of what I meant? Really, this is going around in circles. I've stated what I meant on this thread and moved on; if you continue to think I meant something else, your welcome to PM me, but don't keep posting the same thing over and over. -

Nope. Shall I quote the study above again? I'm saying that it's slightly irritating that it took so long for you to get it through your head. Arguing about something scientific or math-based is something I enjoy; arguing about semantics not so much. Really, did you need to spend 3 pages of posts to figure out that I was talking about physical maturation? -

Ok, thanks for pointing that out, even if it is almost exactly what I said a ways back. Why did you feel the need to quote my post when letting everyone know this? I already established that several pages ago, and it really wasn't necessary to repeat it. -

Sorry, zero, I overlooked your post. I'll respond to it first: Err... Where did I say I was angry? I'm sarcastic, but that certainly doesn't mean I'm angry. I love debating. No, all your doing is making up points that I never made. I didn't say all children are immature, or that all children will make immature threads. How many times must I say that for you to get it? You may think it's stuipd, but it's true. Your welcome to argue against stuipd. If your not arguing that children don't make these threads, then your arguing against someone other them me - that's ALL I've said. If by "ageist" you mean "someone who thinks childrens brains are less mature then adults", you are correct. Unfortunately for you, the entire field of science and medicine appears to agree with me. Now, back to the latest post: Fair point in this case, but we all do it. The key is minimizing it :P Soo, I'm going to get this straight before going against it. Your saying a 10 year old child's brain is as mature and developed as a 30 year olds? Yeah, I do. And so does Wikipedia. I'll await your response to my above statement before attacking it directly. You know, it'd be nice to get a doctor in here. Then we could gain some insight and finally get the "yes\no" answer you so elusively peruse to the age old question of "is there any difference between a 10 year olds brain and a 30 year olds". I'm afraid NIMH is against you, though. I quote: "the UCLA researchers compared MRI scans of young adults, 23-30, with those of teens, 12-16.4 They looked for signs of myelin, which would imply more mature, efficient connections, within gray matter. As expected, areas of the frontal lobe showed the largest differences between young adults and teens. This increased myelination in the adult frontal cortex likely relates to the maturation of cognitive processing and other "executive" functions." Source: http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/teenage-brain-a-work-in-progress-fact-sheet/index.shtml Feel free to respond with a source of your choice proving a 10 year olds brain is identical to a 30 year olds. We can turn this into a medical debate, I always liked development and growth. I wish we had some certified doctors here on TIF, but I guess professional opinions through web sites will have to suffice. I'll wait until confirmation you really believe there is no difference before a full attack, though. -
Issue 1: Then why are you suggesting new weapons without a nerf? If your agreeing that magic is overpowered, why are you helping it become more so? That wasn't really the point I was arguing, though. I'll change it into another one. How do you know anything at all about high level magic? Issue 2: Really. You know, we happen to be arguing about someone who ALREADY has the stats for bandos, so that argument sort of flies out the proverbial window. That being said, I'm not sure how many high levels I know that are too stuipd to be aware of the existence of GWD. I know quite a few FTPers like that, but no PTPers. Somehow I'm making a connection. Issue 3: Actually, I included everything. I suggest you read my post over a few times. I'd rely on your numbers for them but.. your FTP, you don't have the quests done, and you don't have the magic level. Never mind. Issue 4: The mage would win, EASILY. You are NOT getting this. My level 99 mage will take out a maxed player EASILY. Did you accidentally skip over that part? A 70-70 pure is a joke. Mage ALWAYS wins. Then again, how would you know? Issue 5: So your saying "I can't logically argue against you, but... Not everyone in RS has 99 mage! Therefore, it is impossible for anyone to get 99! Never mind that almost 30,000 people have maxed it out! Here's an idea. Counter the method, and don't try to pull arguments about the 'average RS player'. How easy is it going to be for your 'average joe' to get an AGS? Oh wait, about as easy as 99 mage. For that matter, why isn't everyone, including you, maxed melee? Yep. Vastly overpowered special (I get 78 damage, basically guaranteed, from a distance? Yes, plz!) makes this even more overpowered, and I switch right back to my ancient staff once my combo is casted. Really, I'd suggest working on a better example. Your quite welcome to propose all the non-PVP you want, I really couldn't care less about what you suggest on them. Alright. Get back to me when you have one of those examples. How many mith javelins do you use in a day? Yeah, that's my point.

Good to know. Thanks for the info, I'll remember it. Now, as I was saying, why are all wildy rants written by children? We appear a slight confusion about sentence order. I don't think saying all children write wildy rants was entirely the point of my original statement. -

Anyone else want to argue that spammy wilderness posts are written by adults, not children? It was my original point, but we got a bit sidetracked, so to speak. -
Give me a break. These aren't unexplored things that no one else has done - it's a simple matter of investing time. The time to max out is unbelievable - interviews with top players like Zezima and N0valyfe reveal they play 10+ hours a day, 7 days a week, for years on end. A high level in RS requires absolutely nothing besides time. Unfortunately, you don't level because of hope, vision, time, or glory. You level because you spent the 500 hours cutting logs into bows or crafting runes, doing the exact same thing hundreds of thousands of times. Point being: It's time that determines your levels, not your vision or hope.

No idea. It might. Feel free to PM me if you'd like a discussion on maturity versus posts. Now, as I was saying, threads like this are made by immature children, not mature adults. Any other takers? -
Sooo... You were unlucky and lost something from a random event? I think that belongs under http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=592018, or else we'll have to have tripsis in here for another sticky. Also, it's not like you missed out on much. The same thing as if you had killed someone with 25k. It's more of a 'lucky' story for the guy who DIDN'T die.
