Crushing and stabbing weps never used.
And I'm pretty sure it isn't. What's the average of 2 and 16? Spoiler: 9. Also, that's only if you hit - and you probably won't in PVP. 9 damage ONCE in a fight isn't likely to KO you - 40-40 dd++ specs are. G maul is terrible, and I DON'T see many sara swords. Where do you PVP? I've gotten well over 100 kills, including a DFH and other goodies, and I don't ever recall a successful PKer using a ss, outside of the first few weeks - or even in PK videos for that matter. Your sacrificing almost a quarter of your attack bonus, plus some defence, plus some strength for a potentially 8 higher hit once during a fight.

And the rants forum says nothing about not being allowed to disagree with the OP, no?

Maximum Hits!
46-46 with slayer helm, so 98 possible. 48-48 with cw brace. OT: I've hit a 40-41 spec with drag dagger, but that was before my fire cape. Now I gotta go back and max. Unspamify: [hide] [/hide] I didn't even know that was possible without max strength bonus, I'm wearing a fury

What? New, unannounced\overlook feature or glitch? I don't know either :?

A lending ge!
What, so you can loan items out for a max of your trade limit? That's stupid, no one is going to loan out an expensive item any more then an hour or two for 30-40k. If it's unlimited, RWT is easy as mentioned above. So the only way I could borrow an AGS is by paying 6.5-13m for 1-24 hours? Congratulations, you've found the solution to completely shut out valid trades yet allow RWT easily. This is why it isn't going to happen :|

Pray-X....GF Prayer Cape
Zarfot proved that over 600k XP\h was possible in his video, so I guess from that viewpoint it has been severely nerfed down to 220-230k XP. That being said, I'm typing this while I offer bones, and I doubt even Zarfot could manage that while getting 600k XP\h. I like it, RSI is a major problem

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
Notice the "to start". I'm referring to the rants thread where you planned on hits researching. As for accuracy, I'm afraid that's doomed to failure too. Your testing a system with many, MANY variables and trying to reduce it to one ratio. Defence bonuses, attack bonuses, levels, prayers, potions, special effects, weapon special effects, various weapon characteristics, and several attack styles. Good luck, but the amount of information needed to be collected would be unbelieveable - we're talking about quintillions of possible combinations that you want to reduce to one number.

Soul wars, an awesome way to get range exp -updated-
OK, thanks for cleaning out more spam tripsis. I'll just leave my point at this. Soul wars is three times slower then other methods of training range, and as such should be considered as a fun alternative to 'real' training, not a good method of training in and of itself. Irregardless of if fishy wants to update his post, the facts remain - they are based upon sound testing and numbers, and no amount of flaming or ignoring them will change that. I'll leave this up here to inform others in case Fishy decides not to include it in his thread.

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
There's several patterns. One is similar to that, with hits grouping at the higher\lower ends, but another one is that certain numbers are as much as 50% more common then others. This varies from weapon to weapon and doesn't seem to have a definite pattern. Yes, you are correct about the chance of hitting. I am not debating that, though I have noticed odd hit streak or dry streak occurrences, as I only have a limited amount of data on accuracy. I'm talking about what number you will hit after it is determined that you will. He says it's simply a random number generated between your max and 0; I'm saying it's much more complicated then that.

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
I'm saying that there is a pattern and the data does not exhibit characteristics attributed with a randomly generated number. The sample size I have is far too large to write it off as a characteristic of randomness. I have not, however, been able to identify a pattern standard to different setups, stats, and weapons. Feel free to peruse the thread on Rants, it'll give you a background in this.

Question....
Ok, I'm wondering what the heck is going on in the viewtopic.php?f=180&t=783367 thread. I started it off by posting a civil disagreement with the guide, saying that there were alternate methods of training range that achieved more XP per hour and soul wars shouldn't be billed as the 'best' method. In response, I was met with the response of "STFU and get off my thread nerd. u obviously havent tested this and u have no proof. all ur posts are stuipd, get off my therad and stop acting like an idiot' (not exact words, for reasons explained later, but you get the idea). I continued to argue with him, in no way breaking tip.it rules of spamming or flaming, while he refused to post anything constructive and instead constantly flamed me and threatened to report my posts if I didn't "gtfo his thread". Several other members noted this and told him to stop his immature flaming (as noted in other posts). Now, I come back to find that all of my posts on the thread have been deleted. No PMs, no moderator posts, no copies of it, no details on why they were removed - they just dissapeared. ALL posts, not just ones that could be taken as flaming, were removed. All of his blatent flame, spam, and language (which he later edited out) was left there. Posts like (exact quote, you can go back on the thread and see it): Were left completely unedited on the thread. Explain, please? At the very least, I'd like to see my posts and why they were removed - the majority of them in no way whatsoever violated the rules, and were detailed and informative data that I lost when they were removed. A few of them contained minor 'harassment', but nothing compared to the amount of flaming handed out by the OP. Why was I not even contacted about this? There was never a post from a moderator, no PM, no discussion whatsoever, no chance to edit or save my posts, no removal of questionable sections of them, no discretion of removal, and no details whatsoever on why or what rules they were breaking. Am I missing something, or is this standard procedure? I have sent a copy of this in a PM to tripsis, but as I do not know which moderator removed the posts, I am also posting it here. Whichever mod removed it, please send me a PM and lock this post, as I know discussion of moderator's actions is not allowed, but in this case I don't know who to contact.

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
Explain what part of interpreting hit spread results involves coding in java. In answer to your question: I've coded many java applications over the years, and have become quite proficient at it. I studied Java in detail for 3 years, although my focus has shifted to other emerging languages in recent years. Anything else you'd like to know?

Soul wars, an awesome way to get range exp -updated-
I'm afraid you'll have a difficult time arguing with the facts. I have dozens of hours of testing and numbers to back me up; you have precisely zero evidence besides pointing fingers and whining about how my numbers are wrong despite having never so much as TRIED to collect numbers, and instead have completely falsified information about soul wars XP. The bottom line is that range can be trained at rates approaching 180k XP\hour very easily at no cost whatsoever, and soul wars represents a far slower (nearly 3 times) and inferior method of training range.

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
This isn't about java coding, it's about statistics. I'm discussing the very obvious patterns I've seen over tends of thousands of recorded hit spreads, which sees all is completely ignoring in favor of the 'it's a simple pseudo-random generator' theory, which is unquestionably wrong.

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
Was in a hurry, it's obviously not a operating system  Now, as I was saying, seeding isn't going to produce a pattern like the one I mentioned earlier on the melee thread. Certain hits are very common, while others are virtually non existent. You'll see what I'm saying as you get through the first few thousand hit tests, and realize that your going to need far, FAR more then a few thousand hits to get accurate results.

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
First of all, why are you linking to a random number article on a 5 year old java operating system? Second of all, how do you know what's what' used to calculate it? Third, I know it isn't simply because I've tested and seen the results - you have not.

It's literally divison, multiplication, and addition. Complex math is differential equations. This is stuff most people learn in grade school. It makes me wonder how old some people on here are :|

Understanding the Game engine - HELP WITH ITEMS NEEDED
Your critical assumptions are wrong. I've done several hundred hours of this, and the numbers are not pseudo-random. They are generated with a complex but identifiable pattern, and you will draw completely erroneous conclusions if you assume they are simply random when the reality is far more complex.

Crushing and stabbing weps never used.
Both far less effective then other weapons. Yeah, I can kill people with a bronze two hander. Does that mean it's the best weapon out there?

Slayer Sucks
Then your getting less efficient XP. You people have a hard time realizing that. Your training it in an inefficient manner, and you will end up with MUCH less money in the long run. My calculations represent the most efficient way to train it. Yes, you'll make the most money per task if you kick monsters with no food, armor or pots, but it's not efficient and you'll end up with less in the long run. Simple efficiency calculations :|

jagex favors melee
And I'm saying that's nice, but this entire thread has been about high levels, so don't try to steer my argument into lower levels. There are quite a few rich lower levels, and they still have the 500k+\h avansies and green dragons.
