F2P Mage and range underpowered
What on earth are you talking about? How often you hit and how high you hit are COMPLETELY separate. How OFTEN you hit is determined by the opponents defence, your magic level, and your magic bonus. That's "accuracy". How HARD you hit is determined by the hit spread for that particular spell, generally clustering around the central portion of the spectrum. At any rate, hit spread charts take 10+ hours to make, so I haven't gotten around to them. But it has nothing whatsoever to do with accuracy, so why are you bothering to list how high your hits are?

Why are you listing how high you hit? That has nothing whatsoever to do with accuracy. Accuracy is how often you splash. I haven't done a hit spread chart for fire blast yet (barrage, d claws, and AGS have taken priority) but until then vague responses like 'usually hitting 7-10' are completely worthless.

Clarification of rules.
I don't worry about signatures, but I DO worry about it when mine's getting banned within the rules. How am I supposed to know whats OK when different mods have different guidelines, and change what they define as "OK" on a weekly basis? If I go back to my old signature, am I going to get banned next week when you change your mind and decide that you don't like 6 lines? Perhaps there should be a global announcement as to the size of the signature allowable on week to week. How am I supposed to know what signatures to report? A schedule for the next few months would be nice so I could adjust my signature accordingly -.-

Clarification of rules.
Ok, that's nice to know. Now what I want to know is why his signature is still there: http://forum.tip.it/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=190362. I'll move on to the next person once that's removed, but I don't understand why your talking about a mistake without correcting it.

Different kinds of mage weapons
The problem is that mage is so incredibly overpowered at the moment. The only thing keeping it from completely taking over PVP is the cost. As it is, rich players are almost unstoppable with mage. They would need to nerf the power if they reduced the cost - it's the only thing keeping it balanced at the moment.

I don't think so. Whenever I get responses to my reports, it tell me to respond to a certain moderator; jobs seem to be divided up among moderators (or, more likely, moderators pick reports to handle depending on how much time they have). I just want to make sure that my reports get sent to a moderator who allows larger signatures. A list of moderators and the different sizes of signatures they will ban for would be helpful; I don't want it to get sent to someone who only allows 4 lines instead of 5 again.

Clarification of rules.
3, from the extra spacing. That's the next issue I'll move onto, but I've got a list of a few dozen people with oversized signatures I can start in before I move onto quotes. I think it's a total of 95 people with oversized signatures, I'm ready and waiting to report

Clarification of rules.
I just timed it. The time to hit printscreen, press the windows key, type "p", hit enter, press "ctrl+v" and select a box around the image (which tells you the size): Just under 7 seconds. In the time your spending arguing about this, you could have checked a lot of image sizes. So anyway, should I return to my old signature, how do I go about sending it to the mods who won't remove it when it is reported? Is there any way I can keep it from going to you or tripsis so it doesn't get removed? And if that's not possible, how do I go about sending evil_mumm_ra's report directly to you so it can be removed, and not to one of the moderators who doesn't want to remove it?

Lock Please, or let it die.
Exactly, but all that only applies to members. FTP doesn't earn them a single cent, it COSTS them money. The only reason it's out there is to lure FTPes into PTP. Opening up the forums to FTP isn't gong to improve the game for PTPers, the people they care about, and as such is a bad business decision.

Clarification of rules.
Wait, what? Moderators don't have time to check the size of the signatures they are removing? Look, I'm glad you admitted a mistake, but I'd like to see either an apology or his signature being removed, not a mumbled 'yeah well we dont have time to check sizes before we remove them'. What does that have to do with it? They both were 200px image, 96px text. Are you saying that I could have made my signature bigger, with more text, as long as I made the text smaller before adding on to it? It's good to know forum labels don't affect status, though. I had predicted that card would be pulled, and it's nice to see the mods going for fairness and equality :)

A rant
Back. Let the debate begin  The point isn't to kill them, the point is to provide a monster that is equivalent in power to a PKer. See the other 'reverants are overpowered in FTP' thread to see the details of how I ruined that theory. Run behind a tree with range prayer and log out, your problem is solved. PKers change, tactics change. No, I mean members. And the actual number of accounts is 130,000,000, so don't get your facts mixed up - Jagex broke the 1,000,000 ACTIVE members mark sometime earlier last year, long after the RWT updates. Wonderful, thanks for showing me the math. Now as I was saying, Jagex stated that the 22% growth rate per year has continued steadily and even picked up in 08 after the short term drop of players - far new players came in, enough to fill the gap left AND 22% besides. Who cares what you 'view it as'. Your complaining that the company is making good business decisions because you view it as a moral outrage  Welcome to the wonderful world of stupid. FTPers can't mine the pure essence for natures runes, only members can. I suggest picking a better example next time =D> "basic freedoms". Much as I hate to break it to you, this game isn't a democracy. Jagex makes business choices to try and get as many members as they can, and you chose to pay for it if you want to. Jagex made the smartest business choice of all with RWT removal - not only did they see a jump in their member base, they can keep credit card payments. As I said before, the vast majority of RS players pay by credit card - here in the US, it's essentially the only form of payment used. I was trying to do myself a favor and ignore the vast stupidity and ignorance contained within that comment, but I guess I'll respond. First of all, guess what: Runescape isn't designed to be perfect and make everyone happy. It's designed for ONE reason: To make Jagex money. Removing credit card payment would be a very BAD business decision - removing 60k members, then gaining that much and far more back in a few months would be a GOOD business decision. I'm sorry to inform you of this, but the sole goal of Jagex isn't to make YOU the perfect game. Really. You know ALL 200 of your friends in real life, and they ALL told you they got banned. If that was true, I'd tell you to get some new friends who respect the rules, but it obviously isn't. If you don't break the rules, you don't get banned. It's that simple. Jagex doesn't run around banning random accounts for no reason, and look at the ratio of CS to developers in the company. Do you know ANYTHING about Jagex, or do you like to pull random numbers out of your behind? Drop the age, kiddo. I'm probably old enough to be your father, and Omali hasn't done anything resembling petty name calling. Really. I failed to see your plan for removing any sort of free player trade. Perhaps you could outline it? All it has to do is completely prevent transfer of items between accounts in any way. Good luck, I look forward to hearing your plan for Utopia.

F2P Mage and range underpowered
Now I'm not in a huge clan but I've discussed this sorta thing with them before and they all say that a 10 second holding spell would be hugely overpowering. The guy will be dead before the snare wears off without the chance to tank. Coupled with super high accuracy :ohnoes: Any other suggestions you have on the 'mage is underpowered' thread, besides that any slightly more powerful spells would be insanely overpowered #-o

Slayer Sucks
It's hard to get exact numbers. The boost from the combat familiar is small enough that accurate numbers (+- .1k XP per hour) are very, very difficult to obtain. To put it into perspective, missing one whip hit at any time in the hour will throw off the results. Added to the difficulty is the fact that a slayer helm must be used for comparison - it'll take 10+ gargoyle tasks to get perfect numbers. It's easier to show that the distance and timing prevent it. Oh, and you haven't gone off topic. This is what me and ydrasil did with the other numbers, only we argued over every monster at once with every post. Once Gargoyles is finished and we get a hard XP number out of it in a few pages, I'll move on to black demons and so on until in 20 or 30 pages I indisputably prove that summons only give 2-3k extra XP \

This isn't really about RS the game...
No doubt vile epithets like 'angry nerds' and the ever popular 'grandpa'. My locksense is tingling.

What's wrong with MSN?
Meh, if worst comes to worst I'd recommend meebo. It's not quite the same as the desktop version, but it's a lot faster\reliable and it's far more convenient when your on the go. Just a backup plan if your restore\reinstall doesn't work :P

He's just angry that we think he's immature when he makes immature jokes, and assume he's 7 because we're "prissy pants". No, I didn't make that up.

He doesn't, he said he had another account 'a few years ago' that 'got banned', but given his current XP progress and FTP status I'm going to guess it wasn't Zezima.

What on earth does that have to do with accepting "LOLcat" jokes into TIF? The community is too mature for them, you can't just ask us to laugh at them. Sir, let me introduce to an absolutely hilarious website! I promise you'll never stop laughing! http://icanhascheezburger.com/ AHhahaha!! just what we need more of on tipit! Hehehahahoho, i just cant stop laughing! i see now why can has diz on tipitz! hahhano. No. NO. Tip.it will not become that if I have to hand out the concussions myself. There's a reason none of us find it funny. It's called maturity. What works for 4chan doesn't work for tip.it Back to the sewer from whence you came.

Is there Really even a Runescape economy anymore?
Define Economy: "The management of the resources of a community or system" Yeah, I'm reminded of why I don't come to debate club. So much for it being the 'creme of the crop'. -.-

Lock Please, or let it die.
Cut the crap about FTP advertisements. They don't even cover server costs: Anyway, FTP has a SINGLE purpose - to make people buy members. Now, do you think that FTPers being able to post on the forums is going to make them want to be members? Yeah, neither do I. I do, however, believe that the forums are a reason to become a member. From a business standpoint - and Jagex is a business - opening the forums up to FTPers would be a terrible decision. Mod MMG's job is player relations, of course he's going to give vague, rosy answers. Mark my words, it would be a very bad business decision to open then up, and Jagex has shown themselves to be very smart on the business side of things.

Shhh... he's new, and all the older members refuse to argue with me. Don't discourage him, I haven't had a good debate in days  Note to milky: if you plan to end this argument by flaming me for being a no life\nerd\geek\dork\whatever, forget about it. It's what usually happens, and I'm none of the above - I'm happily married with kids, with a good job (computer consultant) with flexible hours that lets me play RS to pass the time at work. Just getting this out of the way so we can get down to arguing \
