  1. Newb = New Blood = New players, and basically the definition you used. Noob is an insult used by other players that spawned from the word newb. New blood? How about Fresh Meat? Would that be Frem, or Fmeat? \
  2. Wouldn't be complete without an East European themed area.
  3. I posted this on the Runescape main forums, but it went down unnoticed. I thought I'd repost it here for more feedback. I don't know about you, but I don't go into the Wilderness at all. There's nothing there I need, and it's so far out of the way that it's inconvenient to go there. So I had an idea. My idea is to add a new concept called "Security Ratings." Simply, the Security Rating is the measure of how safe an area or a player is. The Rating can range from 0.0 to 1.0; a number closer to 1.0 is very safe, and a number close to 0.0 is very dangerous. The lower the rating gets, the more susceptible you are to attacks from other players. For instance, towns, cities, indoor areas, and paved pathways will be 1.0. The farther you get from cities and paths, the Rating will get lower. I take a lot of shortcuts around Runescape, and some of the shortcuts I usually take would be considered pretty dangerous areas in this plan. That's a very cool thing to me. I thrive on adventure/danger/thrills. Players would also have individual Ratings. The more you PK, the lower your rating gets. You'll essentially be considered a dangerous player. Your rating *would* go back up after 48-72 hours, granted you don't PK during this period :P A cool addition to this could be bounties. If a player's Rating goes below 0.5, then a bounty gets placed on their head. If you kill one of these players, they will drop a certificate that you can take to a bank or something and redeem it for cash. So if you know that your Rating is below 0.5, it would be best for you to lay low in a low-traffic area till you were safe from bounty hunters again. Think about what this could do. Don't like autoers? Just wait for them to get halfway between the bank and the yews and kill them (but your Rating *will* go down, even if you are helping the game :P Fair's fair!) But Jagex should also emphasize the danger of low-security areas during Tutorial Island, so no newbies get themselves killed. Please, Jagex, consider this. I like adventure!
  4. He wasn't an absolute monarch... If the PM as you say rigged the elections (keyword elections) would their monarch's power be absolute? And btw their king has always been there ever since the late 40s/early 50s... He has seen dozens of governments, democratic or not. And he remains a figure head. Or right now, probably being used by the generals... Its too early to say. :-k The UK has a queen. She has no power, but she's still there. Tony Blair and his cronies have all the power. That's like how it is in Thailand, except the MONARCH has all the power and the PRIME MINISTER is *elected* to do insignificant tasks like diplomatic duties. What little power the PM actually posseses (possesed), he uses (used) mainly for fulfilling personal obligations. Even though the military is overthrowing him, the king will still be in complete control of the government. In short, Thailand was never a democracy, therefore democracy in Thailand cannot "rest in peace."
  5. There was nothing democratic about the Thai elections. The newly-ousted PM rigged them, he was incredibly corrupt, and they're under an absolute monarch anyway. No power is really changing hands.
  6. Burn it. Or go to Lumbridge and give it to a brand-new player for free.
  7. I like warm soda. It's got a bite to it that I like. Sometimes you have to take it in shot glasses. :P
  8. Stop the presses, I've had the zaniest idea in recent memory. What if the world ends on account of a massive nuclear war, but the human race doesn't "end" but is exposed to so much radiation that humans literally become cavemen all over again, and virtually all signs of modern civilization are destroyed and we just start over again. It would explain a lot of things, like de ja vus, Atlantis myths, and the humans that are advanced enough to make it off the planet alive come back eons later as "aliens" and watch us...
  9. I love THe Office. I got the theme song on my computer. :D
  10. Maybe if you left your land that smells like purple you would do better... I think there's going to be some major world war, followed by a massive uprising of all people against their governments, and the world would essentially revert back to a feudalistic society. Don't know if the world will literally 'end' or not.
  11. Small box? Rectangular switches? Glowing Portal on the front? Pics of Runescape on it? A computer.
  12. Ever get one of those e-mails from a man claiming to be in the high-level administration of some impoverished west African country wanting to move funds out of a bank account, and pay you a hefty sum for the trouble? Got another one of those today. I usually delete them, but I'm in a crazy mood today. I replied saying this: "I will need much evidence of your sincerity before I can make any action, as I am operating out of an undiscloseable location. Send your proof and any further messages to this e-mail address, but be warned that this address may be discontinued randomly due to the nature of my job. If I find your evidence to be completely sincere, I will have to ask you later for a photocopy of any identification you have, as well as passports and any travel visas you may possess. Do not be alarmed, because I must use this method with every person I make monetary transactions with. Delete this message as soon as you have read and understood it." I'm gonna yank his chain for awhile and pretend I'm on some secret government mission to kill him. Make him soil himself.
  13. I'm between 100 and 170, depending on what kind of mood I'm in. On the only 2 "real" IQ test I took I got 169 the first time and 174 the second time.
  14. I have CS:S. I would play it, but my Steam account got stolen and Steam won't even reply to my e-mails for a new one. Stupid steam. I would totally join a Tip.It CS clan.
  15. SPend it with you family. You'll be moving out soon, anyway. :D
  16. I've seen teenagers that can be all over each other one day and broken up the next. Crazy teenagers. Worst 15 years of my life.

  18. How many drunken dwarf randoms does it take to change a lightbulb? 11. 1 to hold the lightbulb and 10 to drink until the room spins.
  19. I wouldn't have the determination to completely quit. Eventually I'd get bored and have to play.
  20. You're really in luck today, here's the next 2 chapters!
  21. As far as why Hitler chose the swastika, he had an obsession with ancient artifacts or occultic things...most government building built in 30s Germany were modeled after Indian/Persian architecture, and they created Nazi rituals that followed the same patterns in ancient India and Persia. And Indians are traditionally considered to be in the Indo-European group of cultures. Hitler thought that, since Indians had Aryan ancestry, that he should use their symbol of luck and good health to reporesent the Nazi empire. Hitler basically took a legitimate political party and turned it into a cult. Yes, the swastika means good things in other cultures. Like if you make the "OK" symbol with your hand in other countries, it's seen as offensive. It's OK to look at the swastika as a representation of something that was evil, but it DOES have other meanings, keep in mind.
  22. Yay militarism. Not the life for me.
  23. What if you paid an up-front cost, like 100 or 200gp, and you get unlimited used of the library. You can take books from the shelves, which respawn so there's no end to them, and you can't trade them.
