  1. If you want cash, 85 smithing isn't your thing. You can smith rune hatchets with dwarven stout and make a little profit out of them, but it'll take ages before it has paid itself back. Also with the current amount of 85+ smithers, I bet you would find someone who is more than willing to smith your bars. I personally took 85 smithing just for the thing that I now actually can smelt runite, not because it would be profitable. Rune bars got quite good markets and rune ore + 8 coals + 1 nature are a bit (not much) cheaper than rune bar, so you would make profit from selling bars. However, it would take ages to get even your own money back from that like it would with hatchets.
  2. Still 30 rc + 62 mining and you're trying to tell me something about rc and mining. My mining is 10 levels higher than your highest skill and my rc is the same as your highest skill. The point is: How well have you tried rcing before and after this update? The point is that this update makes it both slower (not much, but still) and a lot more unconvient. I've done rc for countless of hours and I know how much even a small addition like that can make it even more worse. And if mining is slower than rcing, you've either found out a new secret way to rc (and haven't managed to turn the xp to hiscores) or you are doing something seriously wrong in mining. Atm my mining xp stands at 5,549,363 and I know for a fact it isn't slower than rc.
  3. I am rcin right now and if experssing your own opinion makes you an elitist scum, whatever. At least that's a great way to give a good image to the opposite. Yes, I can still run from the ditch to zammy mage. So what? Now I have to sop at the ditch, move my mouse from the minimap, jump over an opstacle and then go to zammy mage. I know it from my own experience (as I'm now doing it) that it slows down the skill and makes it less convenient. If pointing out these things make me an elitist scum, fine. Rc is a skill which requires a lot of time and patience. This update was a straight attack towards it. Luring itself wasn't that big danger as it depended about oneself; it was our own fault if you got lured. Even rules state that it's against the rules and an reportable offense, so people even got warned for it. edit: I got 90 mining. I know exactly what mining is. I got more xp in it than you got in any skill. Don't come to teach my how slow it actually is. Agility also isn't that bad, it's boring but not relatively slow. With your 33 agility you just can't access the good courses yet. Btw have you tried runecrafting, atm I don't see a character named "happysniff" even being ranked in it.
  4. Have you read the arguements against the ditch yet? First of all, now you can't run straight to the zamorak mage by using the minimap. This slowers down the slowest skill in whole game and makes it less convenient. I personally believe that everyone who got lured actually deserved it. If you had any common sense and sense of self protection, you wouldn't fall for those newbish tricks. For second, we just got a rule which makes it a reportable offence. At times like this I seriously don't know how young and gullible players Jagex tries to attract. Low leveled players get a new short quest with horrible rewards and almost no stat reqs almost every week. Now they are adding more things to babysit these players.
  5. Rc already needs more clicking than most of the other skills, this slows down the slowest skill in whole game already and makes it easier for rc pkers. Rune prices probably won't go to direction or another (maybe temporary but shouldn't be nothing too dramatic) but this just makes rc even more unpopular. If you ask me, Jagex has overreacted here. First of all in most cases people who accidentally get to wildy areas can only blame themselves. The best thing would be a button in the menu for a wildy notice: if you have set it on, it asks do you really want to enter the wilderness and you gotta accept it if you want to. This wouldn't make rcin harder but it would reduce luring and these "accidents".
  6. Horrible update for runecrafters. Now it requires to pay more attention to run to the zammy mage and running out of the rc pkers is harder. I seen an increased amount of rc pkers swarming around the zammy mage for the next few weeks....
  7. Even combined together the rates are lower and school massacres are almost at zero.
  8. Please answer to my question: Why has it worked and is currently working in other countries? I've already named countries like that in this thread few times and even posted some official rates. edit: And why don't criminals get better guns in other countries? Are your boarders leaking more than Windows Vista?
  9. Yes, they would go for the blackmarket. However that's a lot less dangerous than them being an every-man-right to have. It has worked well in other countries like in Finland, Sweden, Iceland and the Netherlands. And Viktorum, there's a certain difference: that kind of a bomb can't be used the same way as firearms, it might also be dangerous for the creator itself and no normal human has a reason to make a bomb. It's not like alcohol which can be slowly created without any special knowledge (hell I knew how at the age of 13 and without internet), it can't harm anyone else and isn't any more dangerous than the alcohol bought from a store. I bet the amount of homemade bombs wouldn't dramatically rise even if guns were forbitten. Btw I was never for total ban, I was just for putting them under a permission system.
  10. Can you make a proper firearm at your own house with incredients woth like 1$? No. Do they cause physical addiction? No. Can they be used wisely? Yes, that's why I mentioned the permission thing. And Barihawk your forefathers might have fought for it, but remember there also was an opposite to them and times do change. People also fought for Bolshevism in Russia, died for it and also got the victory.
  11. 94 Farming gotten and pretty close to 95, only 825,034xp to go =P~
  12. Yes, it's possible. The best merchants for example can make enough money to buy a new phat in relatively short time. Good staker might need one night to get materials to stake and a little starting bet which he then puts to grow. It's hard, but it's far away from impossible. With skills it'll most likely take months, but still: it's possible. I personally worked with skills and managed to make 98m to buy a purple phat like 10 months ago.
  13. That's exactly my point, even tho there is a typo (should be "wouldn't" instead of "would" in the first sentence. Switzerland isn't a proper country for comparing the gun laws to USA. You're also one of the few on this thread who seem to have understood the way how to reduce violent crimes.
  14. Just make stricter laws and only allow to own them with proper licences. An unlicenced gun should cause you a rather big bill. This is currently working well here in Finland. Currently you can get a licence to certain guns if you're part of an official shooting or hunting or got clean history and good reasons why. Also being in army helps there and for semiautomatic guns it's really hard to get permissions. I believe most of the people would get rid of their guns if they started to need special permissions. This way many crimes could be avoided.
  15. And countries like Iceland and Finland got the lowest murder rates in the world according to this site: http://mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/co ... rates.html Why? Strict gun laws. If that source isn't trustable I can try to google for another one. I would really take Switzerland as an example here. It's one of the richest countries in the whole world, has low immigration and really small social gaps. You can't compare that to USA for example, both coutries got totally different backrounds. The only ways to reduce armed homicides, murders and crimes are to reduce social gaps, invest on security and making it harder to get guns. You can't reduce shooting by allowing people having guns. It might reduce armed robberies but same time affect really badly to murder and homicide rates.
  16. Who knows, maybe that's why he used a handgun. Last time I heard it was a rifle, but oh well. The main point wasn't what gun he used, the point is that he used one.
  17. Then why countries with stricter gun laws tend to have a lot less violent crimes? It's true that guns can be gotten every where around the world if you just really want it, but making them harder to get reduces the chances of them being used. Look at the massacre in the school for example; How on earth can a school student get a damn rifle?

Gonna turn into ashes (I wish to be burnt) and go somewhere below the ground. What the... So bible wasn't man made?
  19. They have already played some new and unnamed songs live, one was for sure played like a year ago in Berlin. Heard a bad qualify version of it and at least it didn't impress me.
  20. Graz on 99 pray, it's still a great thing to get and that 126cb (which you hit 1 pray level ago :P ) looks marvelous. Anyways what kind of a factor do the dueling rings and laws play in this?
  21. Both banned. Quit.

Actually it's higher than that :P during my experiences I've managed to get 18 at tops now, heard from various sources that it's possible to get even more.
  23. Which free forum would you success for a clan which wants the following from the forums: * free and hopefully ad free * Unlimited or at least high bandwith * Stable * Easy to use for both admins and guests. * Easy to modify your own needs, i.e. changing skins, ranks, etc. * Good security
  24. Most useful: Hard to say. Without magic we would have to walk a lot, without smithing some armours would be really hard to get and so on. Yet I'll say farming; without it herblore would be a lot harder to train, potions would be harder to get in big amounts and so on. Least useful: firemaking, duh.
  25. I could get it in under 3 weeks from now if I sold a phat or somehow got enough money to buy the seeds I'd want to :P
