Exactly 39 years ago happened one of the biggest war crimes in the American history. It's nothing compared to Hiroshima or Nagasaki, but it still is shocking. The crime is My Lain massacre. About 500 civilians, mainly children, women and old men were brutally massacred and no real acts were taken to punish the people who had caused it. Actually, the first thing after it had happened (and thank god stopped by the true American war heroes), the official report said they had killed 128 enemy soldiers in a battle. Later it was modified to say 20 civilians got accidentally killed. Good thing is that eventually the truth was found. In 1970s some officers were put in charge. At the end one of them got punished. His first sentence was lifelong jail trip. He must have had a darn long life as Nixon freed him after 2 days. I've already put this quote once to this thread, but I feel like it fits here more than well. I'm pleased to see that in nowadays at least some people get punished for their acts in Iraq. That war might become your 2nd Vietnam, but at least you've learnt something.

When I was a moderator, I usually edited the first page or last post and added a reason there, abit in this way: Thread locked by Hohto - Reason: spam That way the post didn't get bumped and the reason could easily be found.

It would take approx 2mins to write a new rule which states the only allowed language is the one which is used as a main language in certain sections. I had a quick look at Tip.IT staff list and atleast Whitestrike is German, even tho it's said she lives in the USA atm. There's your 1st mod. Running one extra section (just a subforum) wouldn't need more than 2 mods. Finding another one shouldn't be a too big task as you got almost 151k registered users atm. If you can't find a good candidate from those, then there's something really badly wrong. I wouldn't see any problem into making one section for Spanish-speaking people either if Jagex introduced in that language too.

I've personally hit 7+1 times 99 skill, 7 times in rs2 and once in rsc. Strength cape is the only skill cape I own at the moment (next one I'll buy will be probably farming once I've gotten 99) and it doesn't bother me if people ask me to show the emotion. Personally it doesn't matter if people don't know do I have 99 str or not as I don't really believe it's an achievment anymore, but like the emotion :P I could say I'm somewhat recognised in some gangs, but because of my late inactivity (joined army 8 months ago and haven't been able to be online as much as I hoped to) I'm pretty much forgotten and no newer players know me. It doesn't bother me as I don't play to be virtually famous. I play because it's fun and there's cool people around me in rs. Skilling itself is a nice extra and can make me feel like I've done something. If you ask me, you either gotta be something special in some community or do something extra-ordinary in rs. Having few (under 12 or so) 99s is nothing now.

When I went to wildy for him he wasn't fast enough to even get away. Later my brother went to wilderness and Charlie still couldn't get away.

If you look for fast and cheap, use PC.

I've been doing a lot of herb farming (92 farming atm) and here's few facts; * Herbs (and other farmable things) grow when you're logged out and it doesn't affect to the growing time. * 75mins/herb is a good estimate but not 100% accurate. This is because farming goes in cycles. Easy way to prove this is to plant everything possible to one farming patch and wait for the first cycle to roll. If there wasn't no cycling, the first seeds would grow first. Now they all grow exactly same time. Because of this cycling the growth time might vary.

The list goes on. Interventions in Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and even North America. So far we've only talked about wars you've fought or interventions you've been in with your own military. What about wars you've "just" funded? Yes, the impact of America to the world might be a lot bigger than the impact of Sweden/Norway/Finland/Angola/whatever, but look at what you've done. If your impact means death, sorrow and destruction, it's no wonder there's a lot of anti-american feelings all around the world. You've done a lot of good things, but they don't wipe out the bad things. In comparison Hitler's acts saved Germany from hyperinflation and Stalin turned an agricultural country into a heavy industrialised country which was able to be the first country to send a living creature to outer space. Does it make those monsters any better? No. It doesn't wipe out the genocides, wars or other things like that. At the end I'd like to put a quote from the site linked in this thread. I hope that quote could make even one American to think why they aren't a trendy nation at the moment.

So, now we've gotten our dear game in a brand new language. This most likely will bring more german speaking users to the game. As english speaking users, these new ones will most likely gather into bigger communities. If tip.it wants to grow more, they should offer something for this new population. A new section with 2 subforums, general and market, would probably be more than enough for now. With a slight attidion like that you could hook up a big number of german speaking players and make these boards the only real place for them to gather. It wouldn't take longer than 2 mins to create those and translating rules&important stickies wouldn't take more than 1 hour max. I don't know if you have any german speaking mods yet, but it shouldn't be a too big problem to find few. After all small sections wouldn't need more than 2-3 mods and if the boards grew a lot, you would most likely have a lot of new potential mod candidates who speak fluet german :P

So you got laws which are unbreakable? If you ask me, laws should evolve and adapt to their time, not be some fundamentalisticly followed words which can't be changed. Fennoscandia (scandinavia + Finland) got one of the best social help systems in the whole world. Our social caps are nothing compared to yankee ones. Yet, abusing the system is really rare. Why? Because the point is to help as much as is needed, but not more. I haven't heard of a single case during my life of people making kids just to get money. Actually the birth statistics show totally different trend. I find it sad how your goverment ranks countless of things (including nukes) higher than human lives. From your writing you get a feeling that they are homeless because they chose so. If that's true, I don't wonder anymore why George got 2 terms as a president. You also mentioned mentally sick people and others like that. With a proper welfare system those people wouldn't be homeless in first place. You aren't the first one who is totally against welfare system. In my opinion there's only 3 (or 1) persons who an average yankee cares about; me, myself and I.

99 farm post So, 99 farm, fletch and pray have been achieved, celebrated and now stored to the pages of history. It's time to take a look at the future and see what lies there... This is my via dolorosa, highway to hell or whatever you want to call it. Unlike in my farming post, I don't start this by setting myself a certain goal. Eventually I will get what I want anyways. This blog is your view to my gameplay: my stories, my levels, my everything. A new level picture will come out every overall level that's dividable with 10 (next being 2090) or a skill that's dividable with 5 or 99. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Hohto: So, to have a point reading this, you need to know who am I. So, I started my rs career in 2001 and was pretty much a miner&smither type of a character at first. I was one of the first 200 players ever to mine runite for example. One biggest checkpoints on my career was when I became part of tip.it staff. I was a global moderator at these forums for years and you can still find my name from the retired staff list. I got pkin related sections to my control and eventually the forums dragged me into itself: I started training combat and doing some real pkin. Eventually all the stories got their ends and I left my position at Tip.IT and retired from the game for a while. I had no motivation or time for what it would have taken to moderate, so leaving was the only thing to do. Eventually I got back into the game and skilling. Another point at my "career" was the introducing of RS2. I was strongly against it and as a protest I stayed in RSC. I got 99 magic in RSC and might be the only one ever who has gotten 99 magic twice on same character because of that. Anyways soon I realised that RSC was about to die and I had two choices, retire or go for RS2. I chose the 2nd option which was kinda hard: I would need to face the fact that I was wrong earlier, leave everything I have to RSC and start from literally nothing. Even today after spending millions on the 99 magic and donating stuff to friends, my rsc bank would be worth easily hundreds of millions in RS2. In rs2 I've been pretty much a pure skiller. Solo pkin there has never really attracted me like it did in rsc and I only pked with RSD, my old and my current clan. We had a fight against Titans (+NI later) while I was still an applicant. Great fight indeed and even tho NI tried to crash it, we ended up winning it. After my last 99s, I've been doing randomly a bit everything. Took one agility level, been doing some rc and currently fishing swordies for f2p pk's. Probably won't go for a new 99 for a while, seeing as there aren't any skills that I've already almost mastered or like enough to master them. Been thinking of 99 slayer, but it would take ages... Oh well who knows what we'll see in future. 16.7.2007 So, in last few days I've been doing a bit everything but mostly nothing. Haven't done any hardcore skilling, but done a bit that and this. Same with mithril dragons, killed few but not too many. Also was pkin with RSD. This time wasn't as fun as last time, no other clans seemed to want to fight. oh well at least there's few declared wars... Gotta keep fishing for them so I won't run out of food. Today got finally 2085 total. not a big deal, but closer to 2100 than 2084. Zot Mutske has been asking me to come do some thieving for a while and today I decided I could go there to take one level. 18.7.2007 Been only teasing animals lately, in the other words hunting and fishing. Been doing around 130k hunt xp per day for few days now and then fishing at later times when red chinchompa pots are getting filled. Seems to work well. Next level will definately be 88 fishing. I'll most likely get it tonight, but dunno will it be 19th already when I get it.... Oh well who cares as long as I get it. Friends have also enjoyed my new fishing hobby. I personally don't need more cooking xp, so few friends have gotten some extra fish to cook. 23.7.2007 Finally got the first picture here. Was about time. Like you can see, I've been training quite a lot hunter lately. It's relatively fast skill and it was my lowest skill, so why not :P Dunno for sure what will be my next levels, but I know for a fact that I'm getting closer and closer to the big 2100. Isn't that like saying you accept a certain ideology because they haven't commit crimes for 60 years? *points to Germany* Nukes have been part of your doctrine since they were invented and with your way, your leaders have put not just all americans, but also the whole world in danger. I also don't really get your last sentence. If a country which had 2 wars against the Soviet Union, got over 1000km boarder with them and less people than in Moscow, do you think we would plan building our nukes? We've actually worked against them, for example on "nuclear free nordic" projects, different meetings like CSCE in 1975, etc. If you ask me, nukes are something which we shouldn't have on this planet.
