Most of the Eastern Europe has wanted to join EU and get euro as soon as possible, but there's been few reasons why they haven't gotten them yet or got only few years ago; there's actually some reqs to get in. Many of these countries have started building their society from almost nothing and haven't met the reqs earlier. I've witnessed the building progress with my own eyes. 5-7 years ago our dear brother Estonia was still pretty messed up. Now it's a lot better place and getting euro really soon.

If stealing is supporting in your mind, then there's something wrong. If I want to support a good band, I spread the word about it (and not share files!), buy their cd and go to their gigs. Personally I see high lvl rc pkers as little kids who want to be something, but don't have guts to go to the mage bank where they actually risk something. for lower levels, I find the abyss spot as a good place to practice pking and actually get some kills. The spot is at the wildy, so complaining about getting killed there is like complaining why did you get hit at the boxing ring.

I'd translate it like "damn" or so, even tho it tends to sound a lot stronger and has more hatred or power in it. Bad words are sometimes a bit hard to translate, tho. Btw a Finnish band Barathrum has a song called Legions of Perkele. In that I'd translate that as damnation.

Didn't really surprise me. I totally agree that I'm somewhere between satanism and atheism and I'm far away ffrom christian. Yet, I hate the meaning of atheism. Just because I don't believe in god(s), it doesn't mean I don't believe in anything. All gods and prophets are made by human mind, but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't believe. I just don't agree on the idea that every (ok, vast majority) or religions want people to be "made from the same wood". In Christianity you gotta be noble, care about others and so on. In satanism you are your own god. In Islam Allah is your god and you gotta show it. I personally am what I am and not what something or someone else wants me to be. If you ask me, every religion has a lot of good points, but far too many bad things. A world without religions would be a better world.

I wouldn't really mind about that. Personally I had to be 18 to get my licence (which is a standard age here, basically no1 can get earlier) and so far I've paid something like 1300e for it. Yep, you read it right. Like 1000-1100e for the 1st part (which gives me permission to drive for 2 years) and after that 250e for 2nd part which gives me a permanent licence. Yep, we gotta drive a lot at driving school and take a lot of theory lessons. Of course it's safetier that way as there's less totally unexperienced drivers at the traffic, but still I feel kinda ripped off.

If you ask me, you've caused enough death there, you got nuclear weapons (and so does your comrade Israel) and how can you talk about bringing democracy to Iraq while you support Saudi Arabia? No war is started because of bringing democracy/whatever to some place. You aren't there to help innocent iraqians. Just like every war, you are there to gain something to your own use. First of all Iraq has oil and you need that stuff probably more than any other country in the whole world. 2nd, it's a good satellite country (or a proxy country, same meaning) which has boarders with other oil countries. Btw it's funny how UN can't even get a statement on the strike where Israel had hit a UN base. If you want to get an explanation why hasn't there been anything, think of these 2 words: USA&veto.

1. My country has started a total of 1 war. You can google info for "Lapland War" to get some more info. A bit different thing than your trips to Iraq/Vietnam/Korea/Afghanistan/etc? 2. During the cold war we didn't store weapons and force other side to do that. We were unallied which was was pretty much a miracle if you look at our eastern boarder. We also actively tried to spread this unalliance thing, google for OSCE or look at nuclear weapon free fennoscandia. 3. We are the only country that had a real war with the Soviet Union in WW2 and didn't get conquered&occupied. Btw there was roughly 55 times more soviets than finns. 4. We were the first country in the whole world where women were allowed to vote and they were totally equal to men. Same time when we got that, blacks still had really bad circumstances in America. 5. Our social help system is totally superior when compared to America's. With this help system, basically everyone can get an ok house, enough money for clothes&food and free health care. You can compare the worst parts of Helsinki to the worst parts of any big American city. I tell you there's a huge difference. 6. Our schooling system is one of the best ones in the whole world. Oh I forgot they still talk wether to teach evolution theory or not. 7. Our health care is totally different to yours. You must to have expensive insurances in order to get a good service. Here you can just walk to the hospital (or get a free ride with an ambulance :P ), tell them what's wrong and get a good service. No matter what's your problem or who/what caused it. 8. We are the least corrupted country in the whole world. For example usa was 16th least corrupted in 2002. There's a pretty big difference. 9. In technology we're doing pretty well. Irc was created by a finn. Linux was created by a finn. Nokia cell phones are created by finns. In broadband connections we had 5th most of them in the whole world in 2003. This is unbelievable as there's only 5 million finns. 10. Our lifestyle doesn't load nature as much as America's for example. Helsinki is one of the cleanest capitals in Europe, we got really strict pollution laws. Over 100,000 Americans visit Finland each year. Many of them are drawn to Finland because of its beautiful and clean nature. In the end, some pictures. Northern lights, one reason why tourists come to Finland. If you wanted to help human kind, you should preach of using condoms (or invent even a better protection), free abortion laws and throw away your "holy" book. Not talk about abstinence, God's will or other stuff like that.
