  1. Within last 50 years there's been 2 countries that have really tried to dominate the whole world; USA and the Soviet Union. Both have done wrong things and one of those doesn't even exist anymore. I personally hate this "dominating role" because to gain something, you gotta take it from somewhere. There's a lot of independed countries for a reason; we are proud to be of what we are and don't want to become one huge mass. I rather pay 40% taxes, waste 9 months at army (2 weeks served atm ;) ) and speak a language which is understood by roughly 5.5 million people (in comparison: there's over 7million people living in London) than be a yankee/russian/whatever. The ways how USA has tried to dominate the world aren't really too clean. For some reason you remind me of nazi-Germany. They wanted "Lebensraum" for their "ÃÆÃâÃâübermensch" folk, you want resourches for your own goods. Within 50 years, you've started more wars than any other country. You're the only country that has used nuclear weapons (ok, that doesn't fit to my 50-year range) against other country, you've tried to feed people with your propaganda. Aren't those reasons good enough to hate your policy? Look at the time of the cold war for example. Do you really belive you fought at places like Vietnam or Korea just because you wanted to stop communism? I tell you that for sure your leaders didn't fight for ideology, they fought for power. How many people had to die because of that greediness? It's true that your leaders wanted to get rid of communism. However, it wasn't because your leaders thought that your ideology was so supreme. It was because communism&the Soviet Union was your biggest obstacle on your way to the world domination. Ok, the Soviet Union was also guilty, but I don't feel like writing ten thousands words describing its crimes, so I just keep talking about USA. I find it funny how you're able to kill tens of thousands civilians in the name of democracy. You seem to accept many non-democractic things if the country accepts your international policy. Look at Israel or Saudi Arabia for example. They are really far from democracy, yet you support them. At Israel you are a 2nd class citizen if you aren't a jew. Look at their Knesset for example; arab/palestinian minority has ~10 places there (120 in total) and percentually there's a lot more arabs than that. What about marriage laws? The way water resources are shared? Is that democracy? In my eyes it isn't. Yet you've given them $84,854,827,200 aid (http://www.washington-report.org/html/u ... israel.htm) in under 60 years. Btw why can't you accept Hamas? After all they got power by elections. Aren't they enough pro-american? It's pretty ironic, but Saddam would probably have killed less civilians in few years than you've killed. Over 40,000 civilians (http://www.iraqbodycount.net/) is pretty much when you think how long you've been at Iraq. When you attacked them, you had hard evidence of weapons of mass destruction. After 40,000 civilian victims you haven't found any. How many more innocent people need to die before you find them? 1,000? 10,000? 100,000? Btw it's funny how you're able to kill that many civilians to find those weapons, yet you (and your mate Israel) got a lot of them. If you don't want to hear anti-american things, then don't give us a reason to talk about it. Currently your policy just begs for all this anti-american stuff. Every war you start just grows a new generation of anti-american (and possible terrorists) people. Btw here's a list of the wars you've started since 1890. It's pretty rough text, but probably it shows you one reason why your nation isn't too liked http://academic.evergreen.edu/g/grossma ... tions.html I got nothing against a normal yankee. I got many american online-friends, one of my room mates at army is half american (got both Finland's and America's passports) and many good things come from America. Yet I hate it how your country acts.
  2. Pardon? I didn't quit ages ago, I joined army 2 weeks ago. :-s
  3. Helping by massacring their people? It's really naive to think that US is there to help the locals. They are there to help themselves, their economy (yes, they lose money on the war, but make it from the oil and rebuilding the place they've bombed) and their lifestyle. At the moment USA&European countries have caused the death of 39-43,000 civilians (includes women and children) in Iraq and and some thousands in Afghanistan. Is that what you're bringing? Death, pain and anger? At this point you could always show some info on the dead US soldiers. Well, I tell you; don't. Personally I'd be more than willing to grab a gun and shoot if some foreign country attacked us.
  4. I cut my hair too today. Army at monday so I pretty much had to \ \
  5. I find it ironic how you got that "Ford" in your name
  6. Probably is. Good luck on finding it tho. I got no reason to do it, I'm fine with the fact UN has failed miserably at many places. Genocide with at least 800,000 dead at Rwanda in 1994 is one good example. Korea most likely doesn't even have nukes yet. I wouldn't be surprised if they are building them or planning to build at the moment, tho. These missiles they tested won't be a real threat for US as they could barely travel to Alaska, but imagine Japan or South Korea. It sure is a threat for them. A discussion about communism wouldn't be a too bad thing. Good thing it's almost totally been harvested and there's only a handful of commy countries left :P
  7. Saw them live last summer. The music was rather good and worked at live show, but wouldn't go anywhere at the top of my band list. Btw does they singer still have rather short (when compared to most of the other singers) blond hair and does his every 2nd word start with F? :P
  8. Yet they couldn't do it at Balkan or Rwanda for example?
  9. Totally agree with that. Balance of fear is the only thing that can keeps us away from the button and staying away from it is the only real way to avoid nuclear war.
  10. With little things we could save a lot of clean water and make it last decades longer. For example toilets at least in Fennoscandia contain water that's clean enough to be drunk. Do we need THAT clean water at our toilets? My point is that we still got plenty of clean water to waste and we would have things to save it. That means that there will be enough water for still a long time. If water was so rare that it would be worth declaring a war, we wouldn't act like this. I personally believe that at least our generation won't see a war because of water.
  11. Did some research... http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/dprk/missile/td-2.htm There's on the missiles North Korea has. Here's a bit on USA's ability to destroy missiles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIM-104_Patriot I wouldn't feel too safe with those. First of all little software error could cause a disaster (like in Dharan 1991) and 2nd, they aren't that accurate: If U.S army says 70-80% accuracy for a Scud, then it's less than 50% for long-range missiles. I don't have time to google real speeds, but I assume a long-range (good enough to carry a bit bigger bomb from Asia to New York) missile goes at least twice faster than a Scud. Btw even if that was able to shoot down 90% of nuclear warheads, approx 40 would land to USA if China shot their storages. 40 Landed bombs doesn't sound big when you compare it to USA's amounts, but 40 bombs would be enough to kill tens of millions people. Still feeling safe with the anti-missile protection? ;)

Politicians know everything, right? Alright, there was once politician who actually got a lot power and according to him, jews should be gotten rid of. They are into politics, not into everything. Source There's Washington Post's article on how world's temperature keeps rising. Look at the chart at the end of the page; I agree that the temperature sometimes cools and sometimes becomes warmer (this has happened countless times through the years, even before mankind was on this planet), but that chart makes me think. Can that high rise in so short period be "normal"?
  13. http://www.4forums.com/political/showthread.php?p=4815 There's a long list of the failures of UN. It's a great idea to have such a thing, but in its current shape it just doesn't seem to work. How many more massacres should we see before we realise that the UN isn't working as well as it should?
  14. http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/sh ... hp?t=82755 And bull912000, I remember reading from somewhere that those anti missile thingys aren't that great. They could probably shoot down a handful of missiles, but not save your (or anyother) country.
  15. North Korea? Cold war? If a country like that started to act like the Soviet Union or Yankees, they'd be bombed back to the stoneage before they had even satellite (or proxy) countries. Back after the WW2, there was pretty much 2 powerful and rising countries, now there's many countries that could just tell their groups to destroy that country, a country that shot few missiles. I believe this test was just a way to get money, food and good contracts. No1 wants a war and to avoid it, countries like USA (sounds weird how they don't want to war :anxious: ) would do anything to make them stop their testings. Just wait one year and see how USA/Japan/some other country sends some goods to NK. Anyways I found some pics from NK from another boards. Pretty "weird" place... Reminds anyone of the old Soviet propaganda? Countryside of NK. For brainwashed people that's a paradise, for us that's hell. Pretty weird sign. That's from their capital city if I remember right, if I don't then some other major city :P Unlike in some "well doing countries", that bad place is pretty much in the centre of the town. Same thing from different view. More propaganda Juche Tower (sp?) at their capital. For some reason that reminds me of the tower of evil. They got pretty nice roads, but to be honest, they are empty almost 24/7. Normal people don't have cars (and if I remember right, there are even some laws to restrict it) and police cars and others are really old. You should really take a look at their roads with Google Earth and then imagine only a handful of cars using them.
  16. Was at Tuska Festivals last weekend and saw these: Venom Impaled Nazarene Celtic Frost Sodom Arch Enemy Sonata Arctica The sisters of Mercy anathema Opeth Diablo Amorphis Mokoma Tarot Stam1na Nine Suburban Tribe Freedom Call Wintersun Gojira Deathstars Swallow the Sun Burst Norther Verjnuarmu Kalmah The Scourger Mendeed Pain Confessor April Metsat̮̦̉̉ll Epica Timo Rautiainen Pretty wicked stuff here. Quite a few people in this pic I took, that's the main stage and there was 2 smaller ones too.
  17. I've been listening to their Nespithe album few times, but somehow it just doesn't "hit" me. They got their own style, but instead of being great they just seem to be confusing or something. Hard to describe it with words. Anyways I hope they keep training their style and manage to produce an album that satisfied me :P I rather buy a good album than download an average one.

Try Apocalyptica. Beautiful stuff played with cellos and only a handful of their songs got actual vocals.
  19. Found a link which explains a bit the cover of Somewhere in Time and its little things; http://www.maidenfans.com/imc/?url=albu ... ink=albums Also Infinite made by Stratovarius is rather cool:
  20. Tapio of course http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tapio edit: and Fenrir of course too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenrisulfr
  21. In which way are old players better? The time you've played means nothing, an idiot is an idiot and a good guy is a good guy, no matter has he played 2 months or 5 years. Personally I've gotten pretty sick of this "we're oldskool, we're leik leet" mentality. We older players can be proud of things we've done, but we can't just live in the past. Times change and so should we. These "oldschool people" who complain about changes remind me of those old people in real life who can't accept the fact that things are now different than in 1950s. I've achieved things in rsc and had great moments. I've had great moments in rsc and gotten memories I will never forget. Yet, it doesn't make me a better player nor a human than someone who has never logged to rsc. Be proud of what you've done and what you are, but don't become a selfish idiot because of it.
  22. Creepy song, I'd rank it the most overrated song ever :P When I was like 10, it was played 24/7 on every radio station and that dance was shown everywhere. :-$ for Macarena
  23. Salmiakki Koskenkorva aka Salmari. Best thing you can do with your pants on.
