  1. Please read all the replies before you post.
  2. Would be... Interesting. :-k Dunno what I'd do, nothing in particular anyway.
  3. iTunes -> Edit -> Prefrences -> "General" tab -> Import settings button a little more than halfway down -> Import using WAV encoder, Setting from automatic to custom, sample rate to max, sample size to max, channels to auto, press ok then check the "Use error correction when reading audio CDs". Press ok, try ripping a CD again. There will be a difference in quality.
  4. Hmm, I was able to make a permission mask to do just that, so it seems my theory stands. Even if this doesn't make so that we can take the flood limit away, it still would be a great tool for moderators. And workarounds FTW, yes.
  5. I was thinking of posting this myself. As a solution for old computers, I think that [ythd] and [ythq] should have built-in hide tags that stop the video from loading by breaking the code when it's hidden.
  6. "Mute" was exactly what I was thinking. Wait. There's a way you could do it. Make a usergroup called "Muted" or something, make all moderators group leaders, and make so that all the users that aren't group leaders can't post without moderator approval. Then make all moderators que moderators. Quick and easy way to stop it then and there, but you'd need to make sure that the mods can post without mod approval. :P (By changing their induvidual permission masks in the ACP)
  7. Hmm I just had a thought. Will this thing ever self-destruct? It's reasonably stable right now, and will be even more stable in the future, if I download a copy I could use it to run any Windows stuff I need while I'm on linux without having to buy anything.
  8. I just lost the game. You did? It seemed to me that you just lost a tennis match, but I guess I'm wrong then. All of my scariest dreams were when I was like 6-10 years old, I hardly remember any of them.
  9. Very good for a first tag. Focal seems blended well, but I do agree that the abstract stuff behind it should be darked a bit. I'd like to try a few things with this when I get home.
  10. And I think you're doing a mighty fine job. Meh, it's become a habit for me. Anything and anyone looks good after coming home from school... Nobody seems to take stuff seriously there other than a) Sex B) Drugs and c) Heavy metal, all of which I'm not so terribly interested in.
  11. Meh, Bittorrent does it for me. I have Azureas but I never use it. I managed to tweak my internet connection through some really obscure tool that I wouldn't recommend to anyone to raise my up speed to 60kB/s so I'm happy.
  12. I've been thinking of getting into C/++ lately, preferably C (My favorite open source programs are written in it, like GIMP :P ) But I don't know where to start. Any suggestions?
  13. And we all know that the .NET framework is so cross-platform.
  14. Just a stab in the dark, but maybe something like MAPLE would work?
  15. Meh, I know PHP to the point that I can describe in detail how a program written in it would work, but when I go to write it nothing parses or works like I want it to. -.- Most of us are pretty familiar with what a computer program is. :P

    No, it's copypasta. ( http://www.thechurchofgoogle.org/Script ... s_God.html )
  17. Ehh, one can only hope. I have a feeling it'll be a while before it comes out and tip.it adopts it, and even longer (or never) before features like this get implemented. Ah well, one can't hope for too much from an ad\donation supported fansite (not that I don't think you guys do a great job =D> ) Could be a year or more before 3.2 is released, but when it comes out I'm quite sure that we'll upgrade after the first or second bugfix. (Only a guess) Unfortunately, the flood limit is only changeable on a global basis and absolutely on a forum basis. That means that you can turn it off completely for one forum, but where the flood limit is on it's all the same.

How much I enjoy the walk really depends on how much I like the person I'm walking with. If I'm feeling really egoistical I can have the greatest time just walking down the street. One exception to that though, if it's a really cool place to walk anyway like by the mountains or sea or something then it's awesome too.
  19. It will be made possible with the release of phpBB 3.2 "Ascraeus", where postcount will be able to trigger events, such as in this case adding the user to a group where the flood limit is lower. But for now, it's useful. I say that as a constant user of forum games.
  20. Add to my list: Compose a whole lot of modern classical music. As in like hours and hours of it.
  21. Correction there, no Christian obeys His commandments on the whole. There's a difference. Someone who follows a commandment tries to obey it, (Followers have not always obeyed their master, as in) while someone who does not follow it (Such as the KKK and racism) can not honestly say that they try to obey it, or to follow it. Another thing, since the new testament not all the laws are followed that were stated in the Old testament, (Which is obviously why it's called "New"), so following all the old testaments is not a part of it. That's interesting, because it is stated quite clearly that a Christian must also strive to be like Him.
  22. There are a few things that prevented just that. First of all, the pilot obviously guided the plane down very slightly, gaining speed very slowly to lessen the impact. Second of all, they only had about a minute of lift/thrust. Third, planes are designed to direct the impact the the fuselage upon crash.
