  1. Can't wait for Diaspora.

Huh, I thought you looked just a bit older than that.
  3. Great to finally get rid of the useless _x4 :-D. Other changes are good too.
  4. Yeah baking smoke is really really intensive. Still not really sure what you mean by saving an picture though. You mean rendering, possibly?

Websters dictionary? I'm 22 today :P Websters = One footed front flips. (If I understand it right)
  6. That's seven minutes for one frame, am I correct? Well In that case that's about 29 hours rendering time for the default 250 frames. Of course, RAM is by no means the main factor in rendering speed, the processor is- The RAM sort of defines the limits of what you can render, and your graphics card defines the complexity of scenes (Models/Lighting setups) that you can realistically edit.
  7. Save it as an image... You did render it first (Make sure the animation isn't playing back with ESC, and press F12), right? Then when it's done, press F3 and select the save location. To help your second problem I would have to see the particles and physics panels with the sphere selected and the physics panel with the domain cube selected. Also, can you describe what is (Or isn't) happening?
  8. Blender :-) 2.5 or 2.4x? I'm still working on that freaking CLI binary-to-decimal converter program. Nearly finished, I just need to debug it. I did get it to work, but then I removed the debug code and it broke. :| E: Found the bug. Now to gloat to my sister. (Who wrote the same thing in Java)

:-( Lol I'm actually not so worried about it, especially compared to how worried I used to be...
  10. Yeah the wiki is down ATM. Try downloading a new build of Blender from http://graphicall.org, they are more up to date. (I've had the same bug before).
  11. My dad has a slightly smaller version of this laptop, with a smaller HDD and possibly a slightly slower processor; To be honest it's not all that great (Especially battery life). It also comes with a lot of junk that HP installs, and in Linux anyway I have had minor problems with scrolling with the touchpad (Haven't used it with Windows that much). I can't really recommend a certain laptop to you, but trust me there is certainly a better deal than this one.
  12. All I have to say is this: Penny Arcade knows otherwise. (Contains coarse language)
  13. How fast does your Desire boot? Does Android have a package management system? Have you rooted it, what does it require?
  14. Yeah I started reading the article and then scrolled up to the top again- Sure enough, The Sun. The height of journalistic quality, of course. We have a few papers like that here.
  15. Well seeing as you're going to have to take at least 700kb off it anyway, I would slow the framerate down to, say, 5fps.

Someone found this feature: While viewing a forum click on the number of posts in a thread. Sadly this doesn't work for whole forums.
  17. Yeah I actually don't know him that well so I don't know what he plans to use it for. Knowing my family, however, he is probably buying it for the fun of building it. Thanks to everyone who replied, I went with Oldjoe's build.
  18. You could do this on Linux, but you're not on Linux now are you.

Why did they have to use the Volvo c30 in Twilight? Why? It's the most amazing looking car of its class that I know of, I wanted to attempt to model it, and the Google image results linked to a Twilight related page. This is my lament. [spoiler=Alas]
  20. The preview of Röyksopp's new album, Senior. In particular, Adventures in Barbieland. On repeat. It's 57 seconds long. http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch/?v=uXQv7TGJnqI
  21. One of my monitors is an LG and works excellently, in fact it's the better one of the two. But I still say Asus, given the specs.
  22. That would actually make a very short and simple tutorial. I'll make it if you promise to do it yourself and post the results.

My schedule will be awesomely random, because my schedule can change whenever the teachers feel like it. This means that I might have 8-4 one day, and the day off the next. Keeps me on my toes.
  24. Did that second sig for you quick. Tried to make it match the one you did as much as possible (Minus the jpegification) [img=http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/8424/franzrequest.jpg]

I've never even tried surfing but I have a relative in San Diego that surfs, we went to Moonlight beach a few times and it was amazing. The waves also seemed right for surfing.
