I think they said they give that option to botters they catch, after nerfing their stats and bank a bit. It's supposed to be something like $25. I don't know the specifics, what I know about it, I learned a few months ago. Comedy-bribes work for the maybe three people left in the game that don't bot yet, and the many bots that get caught for cussing out another bot at Frosts. :razz:

Ah, that makes much more sense. So, in the end, the appeal is like a bribe, except with comedy instead of money.

I think I've read something about that period being about when a child gets a sense of identity. It probably has more to do with that (Ex: I am an individual! I can own things! This crayon is a part of my identity!)

This is why I love you :mrgreen: Serious: There is no definite criteria for a bad person. You can make it as black and white as possible, but at the end of the day, 'good' and 'bad' comes down to where you personally stand. And I'm guessing that shades of gray don't fit into most people's criteria (Say, progress that comes at a cost: Whether or not that cost is justifiable or not depends on both context and your personal system of values). You can say that the thief is a bad person because he leaves a victim, but accept a thief that steals out of necessity, unless you are or know the victim, and chances are you'll be willing to look the other way if it benefits you. ESPECIALLY those of you that are certain that you're above that. Unless you've found the cure for humanity. If so, please share O:)

Not recommended :razz: Frankly, I'm surprised that we can still mock people for their interests when most OTers are ex-Runescapers, current anime/manga fans, assorted fantasy/sci-fi fans, hipsters, gamers, and wannabe intellectuals. I don't condone mocking people's interests, but this is bound to be the least likely group that should be doing so.

I do a lot of my game shopping there, and they've had the prepay cards for quite a while now. Jagex isn't the only one that does this either; a card for an Artix Entertainment game has the same kind of offer, but it's different depending on the store (So there's a Gamestop exclusive item, a Best Buy exclusive item [A blue and yellow energy scythe], a Target-exclusive item, and so on). Still don't like it, but it isn't something new. Fortunately, they haven't hit the point of putting out useful items yet.

Nop, actual days. Say, you start the game on the 10th, if you get to the forest on the 17th, you'll still have people in it, but if you get there on the 24th, it'll be empty.

It's measured in days. If you take more than 10 days to finish the game, the forest empties out.

Or Gamestop gonna Gamestop? :razz: They both do this sort of thing all the time as well. They and Jagex would make a cute couple :mrgreen: I'm not sure how effective it'll be. It may be aimed at people who are on the fence about membership, but it'll really appeal to people who want to keep up with all of the special items, as here in the US, you could get 90 days of membership more cheaply through other means. It'll be interesting to see where it goes from here.
