  1. Many a time there has been when during an English lesson, when someone is reading out a passage of Shakespearian text that the word 'gay' pops up (meaning happy) and is followed by a flurry of girlish giggling. Which is worse when you go to a boy's school. I never found this funny, and frankly its really old, the kinda thing you would expect an 8-year old to say. By the way, about the flushing toilet, I believe it was Mr. Crapper who invented it, and he invented it in the early Victorian times. Also, off topic, but relevent, during/after WW2, the Germans invented a shelf with which you could actually examine your poo, to check for worms. Similar to the idea of curse words with their innocent foundations, the practice of examining your own poo before flushing it was thought to be common practice in those times, but nowadays it is considered disgusting. Are we spotting a pattern here?
  2. Really? I'd take snails over a Big Mac any day, then again i'd rather eat charcoal than eat a Big Mac. How would the fatties effect your living style? You know, things like blocking door ways, stealing your sandwiches, cannablism etc. Pretty obvious really. *Imagines funny images* But they're not that bad I have never encountered one who has blocked doorways. So you have encountered one staling your sandwich and one eating another person? :-k Anyway, for all those who say that calling America fat is steriotypical should remind themselves that America is proven to be the fattest country in the world, and the UK is becoming just as bad because of american influence (for example, McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, the hamburger...) If another country becomes fatter than America, then we'll shut up, but you, the country, need to become thinner, jeez...
  3. Sound more like caesium to me. You keep them in vials, and it blows up when exposed to water. I doubt hydrochloric acid blows up, i've used it and never seen the explosive symbol. Just the corrosive one. We had a guy in school who got his shirt on fire because he leaned over a bunsen burner (idiot lol) and his parents tried to sue the school for negligence. I think they won as well. Shows our compensation culture nowadays... Once, my friend (we were working as partners) accidentally touched a metal clamp which held a tube of boiling water, and got his hand burnt. The funny thing was that I did the same thing at the end of the lesson. It was kinda embarassing...as well as painful. #-o I always get scared when I hold corrosives or irritants, and tbh that makes it all the more dangerous...

Hmm, I would say that about a litre would make you pass out. A shot glass is not enough. I think it was probably something to do with not enough blood sugar due to not enough eating weakened your reserves, and when your brain is deprived from sugar, blood become much more valuable per ml, so that may be why. If I were you, I would keep track of yourself and if you ever have the same experience again, go to a doctor. For now, I think you're fine.
  5. Very sorry, but my camera just didn't work. Getting it repaired, so no pictures, but I think I can grab some from the news: Large Moon: Small Moon:
  6. Very true. Also, they don't even know how (or dare) to even follow instructions, wether from speech or from text. They seem to just not be bothered, and when I become impatient with them for not listening with what I am saying (perhaps they just can't get into the understanding that they are being told what to do by their own son), they just tell me off! It's soo fustrating! :x Also, is it just me, or are mothers as a trend worse at computers than fathers? I'm not trying to be sexist, just trying to outline some facts from the previous posts (and my experience) :? My dad is quite literate with computers, he is an ebayer, an e-mailer, a surfer, and types his own invoices for work, but I type twice as fast as him so I often do his invoices for him for the sake of time. My mum is the epitomy of computer illeteracy. Ill leave it as that.
  7. ^^ 3rd age armnour was designed to be the rarest, so probably. Dont just say melee because there is just as much chance of getting mage and ranged. It's not really going to be like someone is going to drop it because it isn't good enough... By they way, can we still get dream logs?
  8. Planning full invasion 9:00 am tomorrow. We may be able to re-name it Tip.itland! Or at least something that isn't as corny... :-w Anyway, that made me laugh. Especially since the Swiss are possibly the most anti-war people in existance.
  9. Yeah, Im gonna have a look. Perhaps Ill get some pictures too? Everyone, try to post at least one pic each and perhaps we can choose the best one.
  10. Agreed, but I do find oversized breasts repulsive, even more so when you find out they have implants. Fat arses are repulsive too. In fact, I hate all oversized areas of the body apart from eyes. I find blue eyes hawt
  11. Really? I'd take snails over a Big Mac any day, then again i'd rather eat charcoal than eat a Big Mac. Agreed, but i would rather the big mac. Although I would make myself sick afterwards, I can't think of eating snails as... right. Probably cultural differences, but fish and chips does me fine. Also, I don't agree with their gun laws and Bush in general. Iraq: Obvious Iran: Worried about nuclear war and the rest of the world (Especially USA) poking their noses everywhere. Afganistan: Too much drugs trade, is messing with the world. China: I think their laws cinflict with human rights. Israel & Lebanon: Too much pointless war. Some african countries: Poverty UK: Chavs and a horrible government. Oh wait. I live here. What about places we would like to live in, and why? Canada: I Love their culture. Is better than UK in every way. South Africa: Really nice place to be and rapidly devoping.
  12. Is this a bug, but isn't he meant to be half-souless? It says souless in the text. Back on topic, Jagex simply states that Ali is a popular name in Pollnevich. That's all. O:) Also, in the 'Eagle's Peak' quest, the fancy dress shop guy metions how Ali sold him 'Eagle's' feathers which were actually painted large chicken feathers. I think that Ali M. is just going to be a recurring joke for Jagex.
  13. ^^ What legs are those???
  14. Runescape may be based on history, in fact, I can't think of anything that isn't based on history, but piling together different historical myths, legends, religions and events doesn't mean that they all become historically true. And yes servation, I do remember the guy in gladiator who wore verac-esque armour.
  15. Ill update the list: Hammer (sticks out of pocket) Chisel Knife Tinderbox Secateurs (magic secateurs must be wielded in hand for bonus) Needle Thread Saw (Crystal or normal) (Sticks out of pocket) Nails (Any type) Arrow Heads Jem tips Pestle and Mortar (Sticks out of pocket) Shears Trowl (sticks out of pocket) Seed Dibber Feathers (Coloured and White) Fishing bait (Squishy, but allowed) *NEW ITEM* Abyssal belt (placed in pocket slot, but appears as a belt. Can add abyssal pouches to it for 4 extra slots, dropped by abyssal monsters after dropping giant pouch, 90 RC to use!) But only one at a time! (But stacked items can still stack) Talismans would not work because of tiaras, and I hope you like my idea of the abyssal belt. Came out of the blue whilst typing, but I like it!
  16. Get well soon, and post for any developments.
  17. Everybody, there are significant flaws here. A while ago (saw this on a program about genetic engineering), some geneically engineered rats were born, and were made to be muscly and physically superior. It worked, but the rats were now mentally inferior to their non-altered relatives, and would be shy and timid, and would refuse to fight or show any sign of aggression. You see, each gene controls more than one trait. This means that it is highly unlikely for there to be a combination that results in a 'super human' which is superior in every way. Also, I read an article in the news about how humans in the future will actually divide into two sub-species naturally anyway, one tall and strong, the other dwarfs who's lives are overtaken by technology. Another flaw is that there is a confusion between genetic engineering which gives resistance, prevention (or possibly immunity) against a genetic disease and genetic engineering to make a 'super human'. I personally think it wrong to use genetic engineering to make our lives 'superior', but it is right to use it to help people with potential diseases.
  18. How much actual influential power does he have? I'm not really an expert on the constitution of Belgium. We have a Queen, of course, but she's just a figurehead. We are basically a Republic disguised as a Kingdom. We have to, otherwise we would have to change our name to UR instead of UK. Mind you, knowing the EU, they probably want us to boot the Queen as well... :-k

It sounds something like Tom and Jerry, but I see your point. I believe that the youngest working (That includes students) generation defines our culture and society, so that means that in fact your teacher is oversenitized, and we are just normal. We live in a world of political correctness, and I vow to banish it wherever it crosses the line of ridiculous. O:) And please, don't ask me where that line lies, because we will go into political correctness again. Just...don't. -.-
  20. I love it! Ill list possible tools: Chisel Hammer Knife Saw Secateurs (For magic, only gives bonuses if wielded in hand, not pocket) Tinderbox I think that's it really... Awesome idea!
  21. A bug is not the word I would have used. You simply have a bad computer/internet connection. Prepare yourself and bring more traps than you actually need, so you can get back quickly.
  22. Black God armours: Agreed. Skill shields: How about only having one at a time? I agree it should be level 75. Blessed Dragon: What?!?! It's awesome! I need something to go with the armour. (How about gold trimmed and guilded dragon weapons too?) Also, you should have gold trimmed dragon armour, but a normal piece has to be exchanged for it.
  23. I agree with everything you say. We never actually lost the British Empire, we just let them go independant and collectively called them the commonwealth. Also, I never said that the Sterling was definately the strongest currency, just that it was one of the strongest currencies, cerainly stronger than the Euro. We simply lose out too much from it for it to be worth staying in, and us British value independance a lot more than most people can understand (Especially the EU goons in Brussels).
  24. My front teeth were discoloured yellow because of calcium deficiency. They weren't completely yellow, it was a circle in the middle, which was even uglier. I have had them re-done (took the yellow part out and replaced that part) and you can't notice them now, and they feel no different. Also, because of my deficiency, my right molar tooth was really weak and was wearing away, so I got a steel cover. When that falls out (i think he said when I was about 18-20) I hope to get a gold cover, so I can show it off to impress, and hide it in situations where showing off your teeth is not the right thing to do. It will be so cool! :D
  25. The only practical modern abbreivation i would use irl is brb because it's faster and more economic to say, especially when you need to go to the toilet (bathroom for our american friends) quickly. I only use lol as a mock against someone else who used one of those abbreviations. Using OMG (spelling out the letters) is actually harder to say than 'Oh my God', but OMG is easier to type. Go figure wether to use them irl, typing, both, or not at all.
