No, they do not read every appeal. It's automated. My friend did something terrible on his account, him as the sole owner, Jagex banned hi, he appealed, and he got appealed. "Sure you got a premade message but it's not done by computer" I don't understand...premade in terms of RuneScape CS is automated...automated is done by a computer system... Being a Forum mod and Jagex Customer support work in two completely different ways. Don't expect that you are correct in what you say just because you are a forum moderator and nothing more. Specific queries, no matter how many times repeated, should not be given a premade/automated response, since they are not all caused under the same circumstances and factors. Jagex is corrupt in their work. The paying members themselves that give Jagex their time and money get no more support in exchange than that of F2P. If you were Jagex, would you accept this appeal? I think it's probably automated... Also: Yeah, I'm a player mod also, and when I read this I was surprised as well that you weren't stripped of your title. I think that if a moderator breaks a rule, no matter how minor it is, their mod status should be taken away. No offense Bac_Talan... I already got a 1 day mute for the second part.. And the noob account ban was (I think, this was really long ago) because some guy was saying "Jagex doesn't block your pass, try it!" and I didn't think and contradicted him.. And that was a couple years ago. I wasn't a mod then. Judging by your attitude, I'm kinda glad you got banned from TIF. I saw your post of that appeal in another thread, I am EXTREAMLY worried if you are still a moderator, that type of attitude it totally unfair/ insensitive/ rude. I find any kind of abuse of the whole suicide line in very poor taste. I really do hope that your signature is out of date and you are in fact no longer a moderator, I certainly expect a certain level of professionalism from a community representative.

I believe it's aimed at the newer Gamer, unlike other MMORPGs it has much less time requirement making it suitable for casual gamers, if the price was much higher it would lose the casual gamer audience.

Ok, I know this is a very small issue, but you CAN get more farming experience than before using the assist system. Since farming involves planting and waiting, you can assist multiple people in planting and harvesting crops, and get more experience/time than you would normally. This is because all of those people are waiting for their crops to mature in parallel, meaning that the time to wait for the new crops is divided by the number of people you are assisting. I realize that the exp from this type of farming is relatively low, and it would take a concerted effort to even set something like this up, but it is something that you can do now that you couldn't do before. I really do like and use the assist update, this is just a small note that I felt should be pointed out. Thats an interesting point actually..... had not considered that, they will either view it as an over site and fix it.... or see it as "creative training" and allow it....... hummm I suppose with good enough friends that same trick can be pulled with power training construction and runecrafting (to a 30k a day limit)

Thanks for that, very well written. Most of the complaints I have heard about it where totally pathetic. Sure when I read the front news post I though they had made a major mistake..... but I went into game to try BEFORE I complained..... turned out there was nothing to complain about. However it has not totally removed trust trades, I would guess people will still trust trade for recourses such as mass bow making or fish cooking..... we will see no change in how the system works there are the whole reason they get a friend to do it is so they can spend their time else where... But having said that they are usually done between good friends anyway..... This update offers no way in which to effect the economy unless people used it's hype to price manipulate, again we just see lots of player who can't adapt to change. I kinda hope you do something similar to this at the end of the month for the grand exchange, as it will almost defiantly cause even more rants. I suspect it does have the power to effect the economy in some way (no idea what direction) purely to the fact that people will be trading differently..... I will wait (I think it will be great though!)

Huh? What do they really have here? From what I can see -- nothing but circumstantial evidence. Do they have any proof that he actually did what he was accused of? Almost certainly not. It's like convicting a guy of murder because both he and the murderer were seen in the same location. Well they would have evidence (proof as far as I am concerned is a very strong word, and very uncommon in every aspect of life) that a player logged onto an account that the ICU will have discovered was stolen. The chances are it had logged in from a totally different country, and then it would appear the items transfered to his account via Laundering at the duel arena.... their would be allot of incriminating evidence. It is not "extremely rare" at all -- in fact, it is quite common. The major difference here is that this time they did it to someone who is high profile on a major fan site, and so has an audience to tell lots of people about it. The many thousands of other wrongfully banned people just sink into the silence. ~q I disagree.... I honestly believe that this scenario's is something that will only happen very rarely. Admittedly I can't accurately back up that point to any definite level, but I am very sure that I would have heard about this many times before if it was not rare..... I read quite allot of "unfair banning" statements. [hide] I am sorry...... but America has allot more censorship than most countries in the world... You know what.... I totally believe you, and I am very sorry that you have lost your account as a result. But having said that..... was it an incorrect banning? odd question I know.... but with the amount evidence that Jagex would have had that incriminated you (falsely albeit) I would have been more worried if they did not take action. I think you have been hugely unfortunate to find your self in an extremely rare situation, and really hope you are able to get back on your account. Jagex are offering an alternative so that people don't have to be forced off site, they are in no way trying to get rid of them, but are attempting to protect the community by offering all they can in house.

Can i just remind you while I am very greatful for old images I can't post them without permission from the owner so can't accept other peoples (or fansites) images...... they are just not ours to have.

Yey a link to my thread I think as far as game engines go we are currently on version 5 of the game.... you could argue that this is RS5. As for "OMG RS3 is coming"..... I highly doubt it will ever happen. With the amount of graphics update and money they are investing on improving the current game it is very doubtful there will ever be a time where they start again. At the end of the day Runescape is a product, if they where to start again that would basically require a whole new product, where they then remove the old one. So RS3 would mean a totally new game :shock:, why would Jagex..... as a business ever do that? it makes no business sence to replace the current game when in the same time they could have created an entirely new game, and run it as a separate product. If they did that they would have two games running side by side, each bringing in their own money, rather than just one. RuneScape 3 would never make any financial sense

I totally disagree, I think Merchanting will be just as strong if not stronger than ever..... it will just be very different. Merchants will adapt in the new environment, but will be able to buy and sell in a much larger spectrum. I think it will abolish the aspect of merchanting often looked down as low and even scamming.

I seem to remember it was up for less than a day.... it was hated so much. If I remember right it was a set of hidden pages, you first clicked on the location you wanted the server, which would then bring up a list of worlds there...... very hard to use.

When a serer crashes it locks your account onto the server until the problem is resolved or they can free the accounts, it will give the "this account is already logged in......" message although this is not true. Your account is in no danger and it should be fixed soon.
