Irons and steels I do these days.... they have some good drops and are a nice challenge.... but bronze don't seem worth the walk.... their XP:time ratio is low.

Unlike construction from what we have see so far, most items relating to the skill are untradable.... if it is not a skill that can't be bought then people wont sell rares to train it faster.

Personally I feel whilst still very restricting, I could defiantly live with 30k..... it stops the majority of free gifts I give to, and revive from friends.... although from day to day life, 30k is a nice boundary either side that i can live with. Obviously I would be lieing if I said I though it was great and love having it..... but it is a price I am very much worth paying to be rid of the cheating community of the game. ...As long as you're a member. Otherwise, put simply, you're screwed over. True.... I suppose some would say that makes it another members benefit.... but I don't really think like that. However with th *majority* of f2p being lower levels for the *majority* of f2p 3k is still quite a large amount of money..... I remember how it was for me. But that is more the "free players who have not become members yet" rather than "the F2P players"..... where I feel a differnce can be found.

I very very very much doubt it..... I actually expect that over the next year r so the other major operators will follow what happened on this game as it have solved the problems.

I also have two rares.... Santa and a Green mask. My personally opinion is whilst merchanting rares is a thing of the past.... merchanting its self is still very strong (when you work out the tricks). The rares are going to probably crash by another few mill and I expect them to be "low" for another year or two.... but in the end they will slowly rise. rares merchanting is dead, so people are not buying to sell straight away, in alot of cases they are buying to keep, and this is essentially as good as not having them in the game as they are not in circulation. whilst numbers don't actually decrease everytime sombody buys one to keep, they do become rarer....and it is this fact that will cause the price to raise (slowly). Unless you are desperate for the money.... don't panic sell.... keep hold and I am sure they will raise again (but at a much slower rate)

Interms of the forums for the GE... it is obvious that the current thread is not working, which is (i guess) why they are introducing the whole forum for it.... Now I don't know anything more than you do about how this forum will work, and i assume that as it has it's own Jagex team dedicated to it that the forums moderators will have very little to do there other than the standard getting rid of spam and very obvious attempts at price manipulations. I would guess it to be a slow (ish) moving forum, with the speed of a normal day in Future updates (it that scale means anything to anybody? :P). I am under no illusions that the current systems to keep prices accurate are adequate..... but I am sure it will work out just fine and dandy :)

As an English man, I am part of the western civilization where freedom does indeed matter, however at the same time, England being England.... we are very used to almost totally freedom within preset boundaries, I know in the British economy there are allot of restrictions of the sale of alot of goods interms of price as well as other things.... and so the new Runescape economy is more exadurated copy of what exists in the real world.... However when I read about the restrictions at first i considered them to be far to constricting, and defiantly a major restriction.... now there are some clear aspects and prices that need tweaking (I personally think you exadurate when you mention 100's of items) but over all I have come round to the GE restrictions as there are... and feel that the restrictions are not as restricting as I would have thought... Seems fine (to me) now. ----- getting off the GE topic, and coming back to another report, I actually don't agree with your praise of the party hall update. I don't think they did enough testing with large numbers of people... It seems when there is a large drop, and every banker allows free teleports directly there around 1/3rd of the server suddenly piles into the party hall overloading the server. I know alot of people who are just kicked out of the world with no "connection lost" message... just because the servers are not able to cope with the amount of traffic. It's like the heart of the old world 2, with everybody running around... I would personally say this can be fixed by stopping the free teleports, or making the advertising area smaller.... but I would currently give it a rating of C-

I don't think it was made to make up for the loss of bots in the slightest..... but that does not mean that it may not fill it's shoes :) The skill has been in development since before Jagex started it's all out war on autoing, and so I don;t think it can be directly linked. I personally am expecting a great skill that will benefit part if every skill to some extent..... we will have to wait and see.

I would agree thats probably true..... faking the jmod crown in the clan chat is quite hard (as there are not many pics of it) and it seems like Pauls writing style. And then there is the other point that as the skill starts in a members town it is unlikely to be f2p :P

Scabaras are assignable for Slayer after you complete the quest. My slayers are on it to see if they are a good task or not. Will post our decision after enough ppl have received them. However most quest related slayer creatures are worthless and annoying. Many people choose not to do quests so they don't get assigned/have a chance to be a time wasting worthless slayer creature. Fever spiders, warped tortises, terrorbirds, jungle horrors, etc are some examples of monsters Slayer's typically buthorpe and wish they couldnt receive. Slay on, Axe Man Jack Thanks.. yeah someone on my forum got assigned them too. Can you kill any type for the assignment, like kalphites, or do you get assigned a specific type, like the spiritual warriors/mages/rangers? I'll disagree slightly on the quest-specific monsters. Warped tortoises are fast to access, easy to kill and have some decent drops. Jungle horrors stink but cave horrors have great drops (if not the best XP). And so far these seem to have really good drops too. The KB states: "Scabaras minions" as a task, so I would assume that it's all of them.... Obviously not the zombies or skeletons, but I would assume all the others are just one task. :) The do have good drops from memory though so should be good.

I am sorry.... but I really resent that... When posting on the official forums of course I have to watch how I word things as my wording + a mod title can case allot of issues.... but as soon as I feel I am at a stage where the fact that i am a mod means I cannot put my view across in the manner I want I would resign my position. Jagex encourage us to be our selves, and to have our own views positive or negative. It always seems to be your comeback when I disagree with you that it's because i am an official moderator... well I'm sorry but thats totally false, I disagree with you because I disagree with you. I am not asking you you change your opinions... you re entitled to them and i am glad you have them.... I am also not asking that you make any major changes.... I mearly state that some of the wording you use is unfair, and not only unfair in many cases just one sided wording puts a hell of alot of bias on the readers, artificially changing their opinions. I would have allot more respect for your opinions if you did it (in this case) in a manner that is not so leading. It can be worded much better in a fashion that lets people come to their own conclusions.... I know you can do it.... I have seen your able to do it.

Personally I actually feel the new additions to the game are better... Sure on face value they appear bad, but if we took everything on face value we would think Paris Hilton is a really nice gal... If you look deaper at how these really important update have effected how the game is played, I feel that the game will come out of a dry period really strong, with probably the best community in any major MMORPG. It will be the only one where the cheating community can not operate, sadly yes for the pkers pking as they know it has gone, and yes there have been a few good people quit because of it... but if you look at the hugely immature people who believe that rioting and disrupting other peoples enjoyment of a game is a good way to try and get change (and yes I probably do mean you by this) then in the most cases the community can probably become stronger without them. Every time I saw a picture of a riot where the most constructive comments people could make where: "@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@" then frankly.... I wont miss them. Yes there has been some victims in this war against the real world traders, and yes everybody has had to pay a price, but from where i am standing it's worth is when we lose: Scammer, lurers, bots, money farmers, drop traders, beggars, hackers, price manipulators, and the most immature members of the Pking and staking communities.... We should be left with a game where everybody can be safe and happy without too much effort.

I don't think this article was so much about gifts etc, as it was about the GE and as far as the GE is concerned I don't think the issue is at all as bit as he is making out..... (in my opinion) The reasons I bring up the use of wording is legal reasons.... most companies don't take to kindly of being accused of lies, when in most case they can prove them in a legal connect as not being a lie, and in england under our laws the wording could have legal implications. Wether or not they can apply to Qeltar as an American I don't know.... but in a professional context it might be the moral thing to do to respect Jagex'es side (afterall the critisism is only there with the hope that it may change he way Jagex work)

Just a quick pre point.... be careful how you accuse them and use the word "lie" it may be recommendable to tone down the wording a tad, whilst conveying the same point. They are some major issues with some elements of the GE, and they do need addressing, thinks like the interfaces need a tune up.... but it's nothing major and they are working on it (in this case I would have them to not take the time due to the problems it could cause if rushed). But I agree with you changing the prices would take no time at all it does need attention, but maybe the issue is not the time it takes to do..... but finding the time it takes to do it.... management could be the issue here. I think it will not be long till it's fixed, it was a major project and I don't think they anticipated the maintanace it would require. They claim to be putting together a Jagex team solely to manage this system, and when the forum is launched for it I am sure it will have a very noticeable impact. In the long run it will work out just fine, and I personally am not as concerned as you at these teething issues. It is a problem but I feel you are war over dramatising it .

I am not totaly sure what your actually point is (could to clarify?) But I feel that what you are asking is.... "if they could add it's years ago... why didn't it?" In which case if you refer back to the article it was stated that it was not a move that ideal they wanted to make, essentially it is a tiny change the the game, but was not added until the game was in a state that meant there was no other reasonable choice.

I think todays update to the staking limits put slightly more fun into it for a higher leveled player. Whilst still very low.... it atleast is at least a nice figure to have fun with (against gambling)

I think it's almost defnatly fake. If it was going to be a F2P skill I reckon they would have said it quietly in the development diary's..... rather than letting people find out as it happens.

remember that you can also kill skeletons and zombies for them...
