Changes in the Past Year or So?
It was being used as a method to transer gold that had been collected by accounts using stolen credit cards...... it was at a stage where if drastic methods where not brought in to remove the point of autoing the game would be shut down..... Even Jagex had fingers crossed when they did it, but had no choice.

Anyone remember the monster suggestions?
I know the Evil chicken was defiantly from a player suggestion, although we wont blame them for that :P Loads of things came from the rsof though, and I believe most slayer and summoning monsters came from the monster suggest sticky

Summoning looked down upon?
Summoning is still a new skill and so is not viewed by allot of the community as "true" interms of combat. For many years people have gone by their way of quantifying a players ability by a number next to their name: 100+? 120+? 124+? 126!? Now that has changed and a 126 is not what it used to be.... a player shouting I am level 126! does not mean what it did lat year. Basically player just need time for summoning to become an accepted skill, and this will come.

Jagex's business plan flawed? Immature?
What you don't seem to see it that there is no need for bad language, most mature players, whilst find the censor annoying..... respects its purpose. It is the view of Jagex, and a large amount of the player base that they would like a clean and polite community, there is never a need to use bad language! But why has it worked in WOW...... to be honest the reason is simple..... Runescape is a free game..... and WOW is quite an expensive one. Just that boundary is what makes all the difference, if Jagex charged more for the game it would be allot better in terms of community, as the more immature players with less money cannot get it, and those in have more to lose by being rude. As they have stated they are reviewing the use of all random events, and will be removing alot of them, so I don't see what we have to gain from it;s discussion. As for the log out system, look at if from another angle, Jagex want people to be playing their games, not accounts afk for who knows how long. People are chucked off the forums for a number of reason: keep the servers free for people wanting to play reduce costs of bandwidth of all absent players protect player accounts from ingame events protect accounts from theft (remember you must be incontrol of you account at all times) any many other things

It's an untradeable item so I would assume that you cannot, as you cant with anything else.

Why are people so negative about riots?
As mentioned straight off..... I know what your thinking.... all you people who riot think: "hey! this accurately demonstrates our point of view, and shows our opinion to Jagex" News flash! it doest.... and it's just spam, and this is what 95% of text is during a riot. they do nothing but disrupt the game play of others, and generally piss people off. Whilst after the SwiftSwich incident it appeared to players that riots actually work, and I understand why people thought that, as Jagex handled the whole situation very badly, and the news post did not set us in good stead. I can promise you 100% Jagex did not take note of the opinion of disruptive "community" members. However, Jagex as a company that cares about their game, want to improve their game, the most ways they improve the game, the better the game, the more happy the players the more the money...... basically under every circumstance jagex wish to listen to feedback! But "@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@" is not feedback..... its spam. it's a very simple set of guides to get feedback to Jagex, and they employ people to read forum 24 hours a day (different people... not just one :P) so! here is how it works: Consider your opinion What don't you like? Why is it you don't like it? How does your opinion match with the views of others? How would you do it differently? Write it down Go to the rants forum in the RSOF and check to see if existing threads on the topic exist if not: cick add new thread and write down your opinions and post them keep the add active by bumping it, and responding to feedback Jagex will notice! The thing is, Jagex will only listen to the good members of the community who are kind respective and offer constructive feedback, anything else is ignored and disrupts everybody else around you.

5 June 2008 - Smoking Kills
It's a great quest and a great reward from one of the best quest developers (other members include Mod Ash, and Paul). I actually talked to the developer of the quest at the release of his last quest, and l found that he is now the developer for the desert, and in control of the desert gods..... but not only that he was the original developer of the slayer skill! so it looks like he has found a great way to combine the two! A few questions that I need to know....... would you ever hurt me so? (wait thats a song) - how much crafting xp do we get for crafting the slayer ring? aka is it good for training.... -what sort of point bonuses do the tasks give at the 10 and 50 marks?

Why can't F2P have...?
Not to mention attack, strength, defence, range, hitpoints, magic, crafting, smithing, mining, fishing, cooking, and potentially firemaking. #-o Yes, all skills are slower and thus more difficult in F2P. Yet for some peculiar reason Jagex deemed it worthy to not allow us to show the fact that we have reached level 99 in our skills. As I have said many times before, a cape with NO STAT BONUS would even be greatly appreciated. Well not really.... as we saw from when skill capes where released until now is that they get allot of people focusing on just one skill.... the whole selling point of members is more things to do, so if they are all fixated on say.... boosting cooking for a skill cape it would have a large impact on membership figures and the new players are not after so much content.

Commander Zilyana Safe Spot - A Bug or Not?
As people typically view something this is a "bug"... although not by definition a bug, it comes to the same thing. Essentially it's something that Jagex did not intend for you to be able to do, to gain an unfair advantage.... now whilst i doubt they would take any action on players using this oversight, I would expect them to remove or adjust this area making it no longer possible.

Do you like the dogs/pets?
I thing the dog look pretty cool :) they have done a good job on the graphics, but I am not getting one just yet..... but one day. To me cats always seemed a bit odd to have following around, sure they might follow you to the end of a wall, but all over?

Since todays update...
I seem to think fire giants have have their drops reduce a bit (maybe 10%) as I have been getting noticeably less from them..... although it's probably a coincidence.
-
New-look Desert Lizards!?!
Tzhaar will probably get theirs when summoning comes too. Intresting though.... they said that the winner of the development diary would get the next graphics updates, but we have had several since then.

Grrr - I was unfairly muted/banned!
I think "asstrout" was a bi of a stupid thing to say when there is an apparent bad mod looking for reasons to mute..... I think you could have done with a bit more sense there :uhh: But at the same time I do agree there is a problem when a moderator is acting like that. The best course of action is when there is evidence of bad moderating report them under rule 1 (unless another rule is more appropriate) and then send a Message to Jagex stating the issue, the moderators name and the fact it was reported under rule one. If Jagex manage to get to the message they will investigate, and take any appropriate action against the moderator. In this case I think the mute would not have been appealable, but that does not mean that their was not an abuse of power....

We can already summon karamthulhu
Is that real? If so jagex got their sense of solving problems with humor back this proves jagex does not have to do a system update for somethings. as i was gone for a few hours logged in and then read this. they call it a hot fix when they update the game without a system update, I can only recall another 3 times this has been done (and noticed) -Release of farming skill: they hot fixed the game so that we could not dig up our crops, and had to wait till they grow or die to remove them -Lumbridge chest grape fix: after several months of not noticing they reduced the number of grapes down from 50 -Fremnik islands: they updates the ice trolls in the quest cave to not have any drops (I was fighting them as this change was made) Actually I believe that this update was mod ash, I have only even known ash do hotfixes, and he also uses the smilies with noeses.

Gold Farmer's Life
Stolen credit cards in the UK have a street value of around ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã2-3 each when sold in bulk, I would guess in china that this is even cheaper..... it is very believable that they may only be subscribing a few accounts before abandoning a card. I doubt that Jagex will tell you very many details atal in relation to how the billing works, as there is probably a fair bit of infomation that is abusable... I would not expect an answer if I was you.

You want MY opinion?
Hey a human in Runescape! Jagex must have copied that from warcraft! Sorry... but my point is Pokemon did not invent summoning it is a very common series of lores told throughout history in nearly every civilization in the world, just because Pokemon was one of the first games that translated it into a game format does not mean it was their idea, nor does it mean summoning will be even remotely close in this game....

Gold Farmer's Life
Taken from here. Although not crited, I cant find any incorrect infomation here, and so it gets the bobbington seal of approval
(yes my seal of approval is animated) So, this goes back to my original question. Why does Jagex refuse to limit the number of accounts that you may subscribe for membership with using a single credit card? This only makes sense, considering the typical household will probably only have 3-5 members accounts at most. If there already is such a limit, do let me know, but it seems really fishy to me that there may not be. Further, I am concerned that Jagex claims that credit card fraud refunds make them lose a lot of money. If the money was not legit to begin with, then does not that mean that they never gained that money in the first place? That this money being refunded was never theirs, so they are really only losing money in the technical sense? Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless there are additional fees incurred with this "chargeback," Jagex really shouldn't have cited that as a reason for their updates. Considering the profits they turn every year, I find it entirely unbelievable that they would be spending money they don't have before finding out which transactions are illegal and which are legit. Of course, there is the issue of paperwork and wasted time... But I'd rather they'd said that instead of seeming to bend the truth. Sorry... my bad.... I did not quote enough of that article... So yes.... there is a charge. As for your other point of why did they not put a block on..... my simple answer is "I don't know", I would assume that there is some reasons as to why, as if not I am sure they would have done it to save them selves as many legal issue, but I don't know, and probably
never will do.
