Wow...... thats quite a result. Remembering though that this is a "world vote" and not an American one it does not mean all that much..... I am english. but as a proud resident of planet earth I feel American politics are fairly important. I place my vote with Obama.... Lets face it it's either going to be McCain, or obama...... and I don't trust McCain one little bit! I feel America and the world need difference, and that only lies with Obama, he may be a left winger, which is not something I would normally support, but he seems like a fair balanced man who will do the world proud.

I don't personal think in any foreseeable future that we can have another World war, No government is stupid enough to go to war with the super powers.... well the Georgian Government did..... but it just goes to show what happens. DON'T ATTACK RUSSIA! you wont win! The threat to the world is no longer governments, it is the army's who don't have a country, terrorism being the main source. Now it's verypossible at some point some time in the future a terrorist organisation will have the follow thru to use a nuclear weapon against "the west"...... but one strike does not constitute a war. Today military action is more of "sticking our noses into other people business" for example (no surprise) America are essentially doing the same as a terrorist organisation in the fact they attack other countries to try and force their views and customs in areas they are not practise. The only differences are the methods used to carry this out, and what the views enforced are. Now I semi expect to be flamed by some patriotic Americans for relating the American government to terrorists...... but I am open for that! Back to the point, I doubt we will ever see another world major conflict so long as we don't get trigger happy world leaders in more than a few countries. Attacks are likely and will come..... but an attack is not war.

Way to go Jagex! It was kinda obvious that it would get this title though....... as it is the second biggest MMO, and unlike the first has a f2p option! Having said that...... does anybody else think that Guinness should revert back to real records? I have some of the older ones where they are not full of rubbish such as "longest pencil crafted by albino's under the age of 12" (that one is probaly not there.... but you get my point!)

It's basically all down to luck..... sometimes you do well sometimes....... you don't. That having been said Jagex do often reduce the drop rates of items from monsters to help protect the value of the item for when there are more people able to kill them..... sort of like a daily quota of drops

I am willing to admit the possibility of it being a fake.... would be daft to exclude that possibility, although the man who I know of who first had it was definatly an explorer/history tutor/archeologist and would hope he would have spotted a fake (fingers crossed) however even if it is fake...... it's still over 100 years old :P Looking at that site now, thanks for that...... For along time now I have been in possession of many artifacts claiming to be very old. They where collected around the period of 1900 by a world explorer and history teacher (unknown university) I own about half of his collection that came to my family, of which some are said to be ancient Egyptian. The first one is part of a coffin, what I would like however is some help with the witting in it. Sadly I understand I will not be able to get much from as it as only a small sample....... but every little helps; Also in the image is apparently a wooden figure found in the coffin.... although I know no details of what it was for, or if it has significance. Below is an image of the base of both objects, the figure appears to have a mark of some kind on it.... and the lable on the coffin reads: "A fragment of a coffin (cedar wood) B.C. 1800 from Sakkhara" Thanks for any help!

well in terms of power cooking training, there is no better than the cooking guild IF you can get in.... However alot of people who can use the cooking guild will still opt for the rouges den, whilst this may not be speaking for everybody I belie the reason is that it is far more social, as there are people around to talk to (rare to see a player at the cooks guild), the question is: does the ability to have people there to talk you help you to train? or do they distract you? For alot of people the cooks guild with nobody there gets boring very quickly, and the more bored the quicker the log off.... leading to slower training

I think it's ok as it is to be honest. I remember the dark days when F2P where limited as I think oak.... (although it may have been willow) at the point f2p range was not even worth considering training as anything more than combat level growing as it was so unbalanced. The update it received I feel is fair, as it puts it to par with the combat triangle. Rune arrows would be far to powerful for the free worlds. I think it's ok as it is...... not totally against the idea, but just don't think it's called for.... and thus should not be done

"get over it" is just another way (in worse wording) of saying. "I don't believe the issue is as important as you do, could it be it is just something that you could try and live with as there does not appear to be much reason to change it." people could be more constructive with what they say...... but "get over it" is allot better that "shut up!" It's a near impossible job to go about changing the attitudes of a whole community, however you can help to push it in the right direction by filling out responses in full detail about your position..... the more people do it, the more people who just post "get over it" will start to expand more.

I really don't see why people acnt understand the huge potential and varient of non grinding tasks a sailing skill could come with. The suggestion for a sailing skill has been one of the best and most detailed suggestions from the RSOF in recent years..... their was more than enough content for a whole skill there, and it was well liked by both Jgaex and the players. Now I did not see the highscores leak personaly, so can never be 100% convinced that the skill is coming, however I am more than willing to belive it may come in the next few months. (I doubt this month as it's pretty packed). It may come or it may not........ but if it does, there is so much that can be done with it! -Transport -fishing -Piaracy -trawling -pvp minigames -transport minigames -brand new locations -rope making (lame but usefull:P) then there can be construction, crafting, Smithing, theiving, agility updates included.

I can't see any way they can move onto another age in an MMO...... it's possible but I highly doubt it. it would requrie having every quest done before you can start new ones, but then there will be intragation issues. #-o

If anybody remembers the thread made by Mod Maz (developer of the first diary) on the RSOF asking what tasks and rewards should be, there was quite aalot of discussion (I even was responsible for part of the varock diary reward :mrgreen:) But maz seemed quite sure that one of the hard tasks should be to smith a rune bar!!! but luckly by the sounds of the bts I think the feedback me and another few players gave it became apparent that as lumby is a low level area a rune bar is not all that appropriate! :P There is ahuge quantity of things to do in the town. I hope one of my suggestions for the reward is used again..... although I can only remember one wich was perfect iron smithing in the lumby furnace without forging rings..... which did seem to have quite good reception.

Lol..... Runescript. Too bad jagex has nothing to do with that. Wow sorry you're right I thought Runescape were programmed of runescript but runescape has nothing to do with jagex :-k There are two types of Runescript...... The original Runescript was a version of Java written by Andrew Gower that he used to code runescape, it is a major factor of the game engin and the technology the game is built off. I belive all funorb games may also be using Runescript.

By it's sheer presence and not being deleted it must be concluded that it's 100% true, if there was anything incorrect within the post, Jagex would've edited/removed it fast. You'd be surprised. It's not like they read every forum mod post. Back when the world switcher rules were being fought over, forum mods posted a lot of things in direct contradiction with the rules, and often turned out to be very wrong. This is another one of those times when you have to realize that mods are human and can be idiots too. Actually every time we take an action as a moderator.... so issue a ban lock a thread etc.... Jagex have a system that flags it and a member of the forum curator team checks our actions for mistakes, so although not every moderator post is read, every one where we use a moderator power (like this one where the thread was locked) they will be reviewed. So this post will have ben reviewed. As for the post though, it's a tricky situation. Jagex do ask that censoerd words are not reported, and I believe it's still their polocy not to punnish an account for words that are censored. However if you have been genuinly offended, or it is clear other have been offended a report would not be the incorrect action. The report will still be reviewed by Jagex, and the evidace provided to them can be kept on record for future..... Technically you should not report for anything that has been censored, although there are exceptions where many people would agree it's appropriate.

Email is really not all that secure. Alot of people don't even password protect their email on their home computer and have things such as MSN on an auto sign in system. I think it is much safer totaly seperate.

The June BTS still says: If anybody has noticed how Jagex works and thinks...... if this showed any signs of delay (to mid July rather than early) they would have edited out of changed this section with much haste...... so I think they have some miss infomation in that article, and don't believe that it is the debut. I hope 3___hit___u was misinformed too, although I know you have connections so I may have to take your word for it..... as I think Jagex could benefit allot form E3 (and I would love to hear reviews)

I hope you mean Mother rather than mothers! being brothers I hope it's just one! :o Well there is enough profit margin to make it a welcoming business model...... but they are not exactly microsoft...... the real question is what to Microsoft do with £100's/$ from most house holds in the world. But remember 40% of Jagex is owned by venture capitalists, so a large chunk (40% i'll have you know) of profit goes away straight there. Then with the majority of the rest of it I would assumed it is driven back into the company funding new content external to runescape such as funorb or Mechscape allowing the company to grow more. and then we get all the other stuff mentioned already.............

Within the high levels and celebrity players there is a fair bit of interaction, but it's more of something that came about rather than some big organized plot for world domination (muhehehehe) The vast majority of "page1" players come from the time the game was allot smaller, and the community tighter, and it's because of that that they know each other, of course though that is not true for all the people, but there is still a good amount of integration between them
