There's a Minister for Prostitution? Who? Alas there is no Prostitution minister! however it falls under the home office, and the bill I mentioned is put forward by Jacqui Smith.

I support it's legalisation, if it's approached in the correct fashion (which I am sure most governments would do). The amount of related crime from underground industries would massively be reduced: Sex trafficking drug use rape (yes you can rape a prostitute!) theft assault & the odd murder and other things such as reducing spread of STD's I must say though I only support it in the format of official licence brothels, and wish to see an end to curb crawling.... the client must come to them. Currently the UK government are indeed looking at prostitution.... but I have to say having the politician in charge of this area being a very 'Women are better than men' woman.... they are making a royal mess of it. The proposition is that consensual sex with a prostitute will be classed as Rape.... yet another case of the UK making the actual terrible crime of Rape seem more trivial by including things in the term.

I don't know where all this talk of 5 weeks this month are coming from..... Jagex count the number of weeks as the number of Mondays in a month.... of which there are only 4.

yes defiantly legit, Mod Mark H has posted about it on the official forums. It's a terrible site though, it does not really show anything of the product..... I am sure they could have done better on it!

I have lots of wierd stuff, as very old family friend was a world explorer/archeologist before allot of transport laws.... A Brazilian rain forest trible mask A bit of Egyptian coffin covered in glyphs apparently dating back to around 2000bc probably form the same grave.... a wooden death doll that they used to put in with the body An iron age stone/bone axe found in a swiss cave a bit of human finger bone from even earlier from my own collection of junk there is nothing exciting..... although I dont feel my store manager at work would be impressed with my collection of questionable name badges I made while 'working'....... wonder how long I can be called 'Jesus' before I get a complaint?

I am not personal sure a cure for aids would be such a good thing..... along with most other major disease cures *points at bird flu* The was nature is meant to work is if a species becomes to powerful and large the massive quantity of animals would be fighting for the same resources or disease would spread between them to cause major death rates and cut the population down for a sustainable number. People have tested this with rats, where they force the population to grow to a point where the environment can no longer stop them. Now the problem for us is....... as a species we try not to die, and sadly we have found ways to stop the mechanisms the world has in place to keep us alive long term. the AIDS virus is designed to kill humans in large populations, and long term should actually be beneficial. Now if they could make a treatment for AIDS what made the prosess less painful I would be all for that!

Here is a few ideas I had of a place to lobster/harpoon fish in F2P. I don't agree on this one actually even though it is quite small..... why? When when I was a free player the lack of a bank near the lobsters was something I don't like, and Part of me wanted to become a member just for fishing near a bank. Whilst admittedly it will make very little difference to member levels, and it is less important post bots, I still think it should be left as is. However for a member update an unlockable bank chest in that area may help to attract more members...... I personally feel more than happy for free players to get updates (within limits) as they help keep Runescape above average in the free MMO world, but don't think something that has been accepted for so many years needs/should be changed for the free aspect of the game.

Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States
Bobbington replied to 3rkid's topic in Off-Topic
Although I never liked him..... I do feel Bush got unfair treatment from the media, most of his 'bushisms' are down to the fct he is Dyslexic, and this has been translated as him being a bit on he dim side.... which is not true, he was cleaver enough to be elected president -
BBC claiming 27 84 Is there a reason why the east cost counts faster than west? The east coast is in a different timezone, so closed earlier. Excellent point! now why could I not make that basic assumption?? :P I am surprised texas is for Barak currently.... I thought they where easy McCain

I know it's too early to say anything..... but states with predicted results are sadly looking good for McCain........ I hope this changes....... I just don't trust McCain

You never buy a song, you buy the licence to use the song for personal use. Distribution of the music is what the copyright is there to prevent..... so no if the owner has requested removal, then it is their right.

I think there is a reasonable chance Runscape subscribers may actually increase a result of the economy. People who play online games often use them as an important part of their lives, and is not a luxury that they would cut unless they get really desperate. However the idea of switching games is more apealing. Runescape is in a great position where they are the western worlds second biggest MMO, whilst also being one of the cheapest on the market for subscribers. I would expect games like WoW to be hit far worse possibly losing a large portion of players to Jagex, this may not have happened pre Pking worlds and graphics though due to the nature of WoW players. But that is only on the games sucsess side, the other is how JAgex keeps it's money.... and we cant really talk about this as we don't know, but I assume they have allot of investments with public companies which may effect them. I asumewith the size of investment Jagex needed for the development of MEchscape (probaly in the region on 50million) and the runescape HD option they do have some large debts currently, and would guess funorb is only scraping a profit *currently*, but I feel they are quite safe. If funorb fases issues they can easily move developers around to cut costs on the prodject till it picks up, but they should be fine

I notice that they have both been suspended from the BBC now. All Jonathan Ross content seems to have been removed including Film 2008 that came out yesterday, now if you try and watch it again (amusing you watched it when it was available) you get: From my view..... the phone calls should not have been made, and the producers should have anticipated the public backlash and stopped it's broadcast...... but this is not a reason to lose Jobs, lessons should be learnt however. I would guess If the BBC renew Ross'es contract next year he may get a pay cut from his current £18million (at least I think any TV person getting that should)

[hide=] But you're a Christian...wtf Have you even read any of what Jesus said? I don't think a religion is any reason to have a set opinion. I personally am anti torture.... but is that because torture is wrong? Nope! it's probaly not..... the only reason I feel torture is wrong is because I am brought up in a country where society deems it to be wrong. In the same light you could argue many other "crimes": Murder Rape theft Etc They are only seen as wrong because of the society we live in If fifty years ago we had the comment: We might have had the same response about Christianity, but it is very unlikely to get that response today (unless you are from certain areas) Whos to say in 50 years time torture is just fine..... I hope it's not but it have nothing todo with religion.[/hide] On topic: Over here in England most media and politicians seem to massively favour Obama, or media seem to be very biased in his favour, how is the American media portraying it? is there a recognisable swing there?

Best Phone ever! I don't know why...... but has anybody else noticed the older phones last a heck of alot longer then new ones..... at a guess they engineer them to break. I have a Sony Ericsson w8 10i It's a very good phone with a great operating system...... infact have Sony Ericsson made a bad phone over the last few years?

Seems a pretty good idea to me.... Personally I am anti organised religion, but have respect for the beliefs of others no matter what they are. I expect that they will (in any forsable future) be a large quantity of religious people, and efforts to get other cultures to be aware of them is a good thing. A lack of cultural understanding leeds to comments as seen on this thread. To be perfectly honest although I am quite open I will admit to often getting customs of Hinduism and Islam confused, and have made some embarrassing assumption errors over my years. the adverts seem to be pretty invasive and so I have no issue with them. But some religious adverts so annoy every bone of my body...... and they is invasive and demanding adverts.... It is usual with Christianity in this country (England)..... I don't enjoy being told I am going to burn in hell for not belonging to their branch of a religion, and I don't really care if judgement day is coming. As long as religion is not forced onto people I have no issue with how methods are taught.

I believe I heard the figure of $5,000 a second is the cost of the war for america.

Being non case specific, there are some situations where I feel a non abusable bug that is used intentional can be banned..... if it is causing damage. For example if a player found a bug that could crash a server, or something else (imagination costs too much! -.- ) that they cannot benifit from.... but do it anyway..... this should be banned for. The thing in this case though is looking how a bug like that is abused. The rules state that is a player benefits from a bug they may have action taken against them..... but it does not state that the benefit must be direct, there is a large chance of players saying "I will tell you how to do this if you pay/lend me 'X'"......... this has been counted as abuse before, even if the bug is harmless, and has been banned for. In this case remember summons are not allowed for due to lag of many people, so if people are telling others how to do it it can cause problems.

I would guess it will be released next month... I think funorb was just finished first and a good ground breaker

Oh, thats cool. What about England? Is it the same case :)? Although England and Scotland now have separate governments, we are fundamentally the same, generally what happens in england happens all over. (so yes :D )

Britain will never extradite if there is a threat of death or harm at the other end.... a fair policy I feel

Actually our healthcare is fine, some people choose to go private because it's better. That doesn't mean the free healthcare is crap though. Everyone gets a free GP, and it's working. So you know, research, proof and facts is generally good to back up things you say. :| Yes the British health service is great! America could take on a model built on the same system for probaly under 20 bill. The main issues of the health service is 11 years of a left wing political party running it full of nannying bureaucrats who don't let doctors work so they can fill in paperwork telling said bureaucrats how hard they aren't working (because they have no time left). Get a right wing party with left wing aims in power and we are sorted! (and I DON'T mean centralist..........)

Speaking as an english man, they are dealing with the problem all wrong...... now I am not exactly skinny..... far from it..... but I am not at a size that it viewed as "fat"..... just a bit overweight. The problem is governments have lost their ability to use common sense. The go into schools and take away the chips from lunch.... the burgers.... and all the vending machines so that we are forced to have healthier food at school (although the way they are cooked.....I am sure even salad is bad for you!) This does not teach a child how to eat healthiy...... as soon as they leave the schools you see lines of people at the till of the supermarkets and sweet shops...... they have not been told how to eat properly.... only they have had what they want held back from them. Education is the key. Alot of schools are drastically cutting back on how much time it taken teaching how to cook, and this is sad. We now are having the first generations with people who simply have no idea. Teach the child how to cook a good tasty meal, and it will stay with them for life..... don't...... and they will eat badly. The further we get away from World war 2 rations, the less people depend on good food.... It's largely the fault of governments that was are in the situation we are in now.
