I heard this on the podcast and thought it was one of the funniest shows yet. Since Matt's been off the show hasn't been as good (cept the one with Noel) but Jonathan was brilliant. Do they deserve telling off for this? Nah, it's just a bit of fun.

Couldn't agree more. The second Jonathan blurted out "he [slept with] your granddaughter!" I was in fits of laughter. Russell's left loads of similar messages on other people's phones, most people just take them in good humour. I can see why Andrew Sachs might get a bit upset, but I don't quite know why he had to make such a scene about it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I agree it's not as good without Matt, but I don't think he'll be away for that much longer. Hopefully just taking an extended sabbatical and spending some time in LA.

While it was all in good humor, I can understand some people taking offence, and making a big deal of it.

I agree. This was broadcast last Saturday and was available for podcast for almost a week. No complaints until almost a week later. I'd wager 88% of the complaints are from people jumping on the bandwagon as they don't like Russell or Jonathan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

People are saying they are a waste of license payers money. What they fail to realise is some people do like them. I loathe soaps, period dramas, AutumnWatch and Strictly Come Dancing so does that make them a waste of license payers money too?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Has anyone actually seen the pictures of Georgina Baillie? She's a self-proclaimed "Satanic [bleep]" and was obviously well aware of Russell's reputation as a lover. She is also a burlesque dancer so should have been prepared for her sordid life to be made public, especially because of who her Grandad is. However I do think they did overstep the mark a little bit, as it did verge on a criminal act. Russ and Ross have both apologized so this really should be the end of it. Watch it drag on for days though.

Russell was hounded by the tabloids as he left his house, all he did was smile and say 'happy krishna'. That made me laugh.

Russell and Jonathan have a radio show on BBC Radio 2, and in one of their programmes they made calls to the actor Andrew Sachs, who played Manuel in Fawlty Towers alongside John Cleese.

 

 

 

Russell left a message saying about how he slept with Andrew's grand-daughter, which was false.

 

 

 

Something like 10,000 people have now complained, two people even called the police, which I thought was hilarious.

I read somewhere that there were 2 complaints about it until the media jumped on it. It's a joke really.

And now the granddaughter is calling for the two of them to be fired! Considering she's the member of a group called The Satanic [bleep]s who've posted provocative pictures of themselves on their website, released an essentially vampiric pornographic DVD and performed at Glastonbury I'm surprised she can take the moral high ground. It saddens me to think she'll probably be able to sell her story and profit from this. You had sex with Russell Brand, what did you expect?

I think Ross and Brand aren't entirely at fault here. The person who should be sacked should be whoever allowed it to be broadcast.
