Gold Farmer's Life
Think so... If those people can really find a better job, I dont think they will really go to play over 15 hours rs per day just for that $200/month. However, most tipit users do not live in China anyways, so you can blame them being ignorant. Its totally not their fault of not knowing whats happen in those developing countries. Again, I dont mean to encourage those people working over 15 hrs per day for $200. I think my aim of posting this thread is to let people understand more about whats happening in this world. However with the current power of the Chinese economy, the people with the expertise it would have taken to set up and manage a gold farming company on a scale that had been done with the major operators could with a similar level of effort created a production company which is legal. Whilst i am not blaming the workers for taking work on offer, it appears that the operators have chosen consciously to break the law in return for a higher profit company. it is at this level where I cannot hold any of my "well think of the poor people" outlook. In China the opportunity's for legal business is there for the people who can look hard enough, and it was their choice to break the law and commit fraud. Again it is the operators I hold my resentment to not the workers.

Varrock "cleaner"
Interesting.... did not know he did that! we cant be sure if it's for summoning or not, but it defiantly seems like a test for something.... Would I be right in thinking that it is the only NPC in the game that recognises when there is an item on the floor? If so that would be a bit of wasted coding if they where only ever going to use it for an unimportant NPC just added to look interesting.... I assume that they have some plan for the code, and summoning is the best bet.

Gold Farmer's Life
Qeltar is correct... sorry Fook, but you don't seem to have a clue about what your talking about... I have worked as part of my last job on the outskirts of the credit industry (I'm not proud of it :P) and as such had to have a certain level of training and awareness of the rights of the customer when it comes to Fraud. Jagex is liable for any fraudulent transactions with their company.... There is no way around it, refund the card owner or have the credit company withdraw their service. If visa suddenly turned around and said: Due to the numerous fraudulent transactions carried out against our customers on your site, we are withdrawing our service they would be within their rights.... and it does happen... it's great advice in life "don't piss off the credit companies" Jagex have only ever offered refunds to banned Runescape accounts once, where a glitch unbanned a hell of allot of perm banned players, who had then subscribed. When these players where rebanned, if they had renewed their membership and had not broken any of the code of conduct they had their credit reinstated. Apart from this, no customer has been refunded as a result of a ban. The victims of fraud are not Jagex customers.... they have probably never been on the site.... they are in all likely hood totally innocent, and are refunded when they become a victim of Organised crime Sure the people who worked in these chineese sweatshops where poor.... sure they needed work, and no I would hate to live how they have to.... but at the end of the day what they are doing is illegal, their crime has a victim who will probaly suffer alot of stress as a result, and they cause not only alot of damages to the games they work in, but also external world issues too.... I do feel sorry for the workers, but that does not mean we should let them operate.... organized crime is not the only way to make money in the far east.

We have too many messages. Try again later.
Well one one hand.... I respect that they don't just leave it hanging like some companies do, they tell you straight: but on the other hand at the same time it is not acceptable, and I have been giving feedback to Jagex when i can as to simple ways to improve what they do in terms of organisation (which would not include getting more staff), they do seem to be taking an interest in the feedback, and so do believe that change will come in the future. Opening level of customer support at Jagex to me does appear to be the weakest, as this from what i seem to have been noticing is where new staff start.... and as soon as they get any good they are promoted to a more specific group, obviously this brain drain on the CS of experienced members is where I feel the issue lies.... we shall see.

Grrr - I was unfairly muted/banned!
I belive it's only the 'illegal' bans that they don't allow it for such as autoing, RWTing and paying with stolen credit. It is not an appeal of the offense, it is basically "Yes, I have done it.... sorry... I wont ever do it again and feel i can be a constructive member of the community if you let me back" Type thing

Summoning Logo Found?
http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=721174 They have said before that they cannot have the total xp displayed due to limitations of the 32bit system which would mean we could only have a limit of 112millon xp displayed ingame.... good systems though.

Monday Poll: How often do you visit the forums?
I also though never was a high amount.... but then thinking about it it took along time before I was tempted into this community (it was actually first due to the new bank suggestion). I think they 20 odd % is actually even less representative, as if they don't come on the forums the chances are they also wont become involved with the polls. it's probably closer to 30 or 40%....

Prototypes
I actually suspect if they ever get round to making Mournings end part 3 (nearly 2 and a half years now) and if with that they release the crystal halibard that the satchel coding will be applied onto them, rather that the current abusable system that allows people to switch weapons at certain times. Infact I am surprised at the time tower of life came out they did not update both crystal and barrows.
-
barrows not the items
Jagex have said many times that kill count makes no difference to what you can get from the chest, although a higher Kill count to lead to a greater amount of runes.

Check a topic
http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=730241 The forum they linked to seemed a tad on the dodge side, and it was posted on the users first post. Edit: sorry they have edited out the link rather than hiding the post, so unless you have some tool to get it back, or the infomation was forwarded the evidence is lost :(

new summon monsters
Can I remind everybody not to click random links, especially when they are from a user with one post...... Not saying that this site is defiantly dodge but you should take alot of caution.

Prototypes
To explain the satchels again.... In the current old system say a bronze long sword is: "Item ID:0001203" (probably not true) You bank space would save data in two locations.... first it would recognize what item you where storing, and in the second location it would tell your bank how many of the item you had.... so if you had 3 long swords, the server might be telling you that. Item ID:0001203 - Quantity: 3 However with the coding used on Item satchels, rather than telling you bank how many items you had of that item code, it would record what that item contained meaning you could have one item of many many different combinations, rather than 1000's of combinations for the same items. But we have already seen this ingame..... inform of the Dragonfire shield where the item records how many of charges an item has on it. Jagex are doing small tests all the time, and I also thought the same about the xmas event as it was the first time we had ever seen coding like that (I think) Probably the earliest bit of code testing I can remember hearing about is bob the cat, who was a test of a code that allowed an NPC to walk anywhere without being constrained to a small target area, this probably is being applied in summoning, and I believe for the wilderness reverants.

Taverly update
Personally, I hate your type of people...(P2P supremacist), who think that F2P is like the scum of the earth, and provide absolutely no valid argument with your statements. I'm pretty sure at one point or another, you bought items from a F2per, especially raw materials. They are not useless, and as of a matter in fact, I'm proud to announce that i'm going back to F2P in 96 more days. ~Ddaanniiellh [Edit]: Whoops, forgot to respond to the actual topic. Tbh, I don't care if Taverly and summoning is opened to F2P or not. But, i've decided not to train it if its not F2P/P2P (Don't bother asking why, i'm not explaining). From my standing point, I think F2P shouldn't get this update..... party because they don't pay and all that standard stuff, but not for the same reasons most people say that. At the end of the day jagex is a business and needs to encorage membership, currently F2P only receives updates if it is important for the running of the game (Ge, bounty hunter etc) or if it can cause no damage to membership. In the case of Summoning by creating this massive skill for free players would greatly decrease the amount free players would wish to become members for several months. It would basically end up costing the company allot of money. From a business view F2P should not get summoning.... Having said that it is nice when they get stuff :)

Well why are you wasting out time... if your making a thread ranting about something you know not to be true then it is nothing more than spam.... I have no problem if sombody makes a mistake that we can correct, but prefer not to have my time wasted.

It was at one point 41, still no idea where the hell he's getting 75 :-k I was meaning while it was a dragon axe rather than a glorified rune one :P... but I don't think I made that clear :uhh:- Grrr - I was unfairly muted/banned!
Including the people who spam hack, porn, and RWT site addresses all over the comments, and the people who post videos of rule breaking. Whilst most people know it.... it does not mean it's "safe" there are very important reasons why we don't allow it's name. Doesn't advertising count as saying the entire website? Or saying Go to http://www.insertwesite.whatever Thing is, you should be able to just say youtube, I doubt anyone will report you if you just say youtube. If you say go to http://www.youtube.com or uk.youtube.com then sure, you should be able to get reported. Its just like us saying tip it, we can't really get reported for it. (Otherwise hyt could be counted as a reportable offense) Saying tip.it is a reportable offense... but to be honest with you I doubt they would take any action against your account other than noting down that it's a rule that you had broke in the past.... I personally don't report people for saying Youtube, or google... although i fully agree that it should not be allowed.... you would be amazed at how little the community know about web security, and will follow any old site name.... And especsially Youtube, tipi.it, HQ, google.... etc are some well known sites in the community (the game) that do pose a risk. Sorry.... but tip.it aint all that safe in the grand scheme of things. I dont think they often take action unless it's repeatedly broken, but it is important to make it clear that it should not be done...... In references to Cyberfrost..... I am just going to go ahead and assume that it was inappropriate things that your where quoting, be it language or content... seems likely to me that it probably was not unfair. I am willing to be proven wrong though. - - Dragon Axe Raanttt- Fudged it up. Editing.
