YOUR opinion on private severs
They are totally illegal versions of the game destroying what the game is for and stealing the property of Jagex. They are harbering a corupt group of users who wan't to cheat and they are just not fun...... However on the other side the existance of the servers will probaly mean the game will never die, one day Jagex will stop producing the game and it will lose popularity.... it's a fact runescape wont last for ever. If Jagex at that point where to make the game open source other people would continue updates ect and modifications.... the game would last for decades. Untill this point though They offer nothing but bad to the game and are totaly illegal.

Fire Cape or Skill Cape?
I think I would have to go for a skill cape, whilst the extra stats on the fire cape would be nice, I think the level of dedication needed for a level 99 skill (even cooking!) outway the few hours to get a fire cape. The Fire cape is more of a skill cape for the PvP user the combat skill needed in the fire cape is best suited to a player killer..... not sure I want to be like that.

View "views"
thats my issue with that too. For example as a moderator on the offical forum I often see the suggestion "let us know if a moderator has viewd our thread" Well the sad fact is that we don't know how to correctly moderaet every thread and somtimes we leave a thread for another moderator to deal with who understands the situation better. I would imagin it is the same on tip it, where a mod does not know the situation or simpaly does not have the time to deal with somthing. This would reflect badly on the moderator OR would make it look as if a thread was "ticked off" as ok. It's the same for every user though..... people just don't want others to know what threads they have viewed or not.

~ The Thieving Guild ~
I would not be so sure actually..... it's been over two years since the launch of Rouges den and Jagex have already stated that most guilds need some major high level additions to make them worthwhile. Intreasting point though.

Apparently, combat owns all.
It's on of the cases where you can but the abuser fairly acuratly into a little cattogory box..... I am probaly mostly correct if I say the following: American male, between the ages of 16-17, unstable relationship with his father possibly caused by a devorce around 3 or 4 years ago. Underachives in school due to lack of motivation, he feels the only way he can get people to like him to to insult everybody eles. He lacks empathy and is unable to see somthing from another persons view point. The important thing to remember is as long as you can recognise that what he is doing is not right.... you are a better person than him. Combat levels; whilst important; are not the only focus of the game. And player killing is definatly more of an extra than actuall game play...... I have gone 3.5years without ever killing a player and my account is not lesser as a result of it.

Cowhide costs. (ReOpened)
To be honest with you it's not that high..... once you compare it to the amount of xp got for crafting there is a good cost to xp ratio. The time is more what you are paying for..... not the item: collecting a decennt amount of them is not somthing alot of craftes has the time to do and so they pay sombody to do it for them. If you really want somthing to complain about..... flax...... 150 gp...... even easier to collect.

Grrr - I was unfairly muted/banned!
I' d friggin cut his heart out... Anyway, if JAGeX would finally get some real mods at the coustomer service and not some machines, Rune Scape would be better. They could also put some friggin mods at flac fields, yew/magic trees and so on. Don' t they realise they are loosing coustomer with their incompetence. Seems to me Mico that you just wanted to agree with him there just to floame Jagex..... you have no idea of the circumatances and untill I hear otherwise I will asume that it was correct. Don't just asume Jagex where wrong... they are almost always right. As for your other point, I know more about this area that you will and can tell you that you are wrong and there are oten Jmods there, along with other methods of bot removal that i wont go into (as I am not sure how confidential it is)..... but the important point is Jagex and the mods are doing ALOT more than you think.

RS Screenshots/Videos [Archive 1]
Get a 99 and see if it trims itself. :-s Was this not the bug when the capes where first released? I though it allowed people to buy the mining cape without 99....

Famous People on Runescape
I would imagin with 6million accounts that are active atleast some famous people play.... Vin Diesel plays Dungens and dragons for example.

Why Jagex Why?
Your reasons why they SHOULD have done it are the exact same reasons why Jagex chose NOT to do it. Bringing a game into a whole new language raises many major issues: Will it be popular? Can our company support it? How do we go about future additions of languages? It was the first one the chose they needed a smaller yet important language that would take a while to build up in popularity, they needed to learn how much they need to adjust their company set up for the introduction of bigger languages. For example if they jumped in with Chineese and the game was swamped straight away they would not have the man power, servers etc to support the players and so thye chose german as they would have greater amount s of thime to react. But why german and not another smaller language? In germany there is a large and active gaming community with many many online players, however they are less likely than other nationlities to play games in a differnet language! so by attacking the german market they are opeing up to alot of player who otherwise would not have played. If you look at the dutch speaking countries however they seem very happy to play english games, as they are great at handeling the language.... it would not be such a sucsess to do it.

Is Tip.It really an "official" fan site?
On the offical forums we stricktly enfore the no posting bugs eliment of the rules, as sadly there is a large number of players who will aim to abuse bugs for personal game. The tip.it forum whilst yes bugs can be discussed..... only bugs that cannot be exploited can be talked about and the mods remove subjects on abusable errors. Ingame it is important to remember what can and cannot be reported for bug abuse, it is only considered "abuse" if the player is gaining from it's exploit. So for example the player killing that followed a POH bug was considered abuse, and the player was banned for it's exploit. HOWEVER if you take an old bug like when you sat down and changed your weapon thus messing up the animation... the player doing it where gaining no benifit and so it was not considered abuse. Although it a player charged another to show them how it works this would then become bug abuse.

WTF no more B-Staveing!!!!
Paul said he was going to change the base stock at Baba Yaga's to 20 per world, and they are going to drastically reduce the cost in the mage training arena. Yes it was a great sham to lose them though I think I have about 650 orbs waiting for staves.... wont happen now :(

~ The Thieving Guild ~
If you read the suggestion you would have not posted that....... This suggestion was on the offical forums for probaly a total of 7 months, and I did keep a supporters list, but to be honest with you I was not able to keep the list upto date with the ammount of supporters so I let it drop in this version.

Tutorial Island: Should it be optional?
No it's an important step. Not only does it slow down autoing accounts a significant amount; be honest when you started would you have done it if it was opional? Personally I would have not done it as I had no intention of playing to a large degree... I would have been lost in the game and would probaly have quite far before I became a member. That would be ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã34.40 for 3 years (and running) and I am just one customer! Jagex would probaly lose money without the island.

Is Jagex Towers really profit driven?
I personally dont see Jagex as a profit driven company at all... The Company Jagex was created to run the Game Runescape as a business, however it was fist a hobby that both Andrew and Paul where passionate about doing *for free*. Today Jagex is probaly making millions per month, and Andrew and Paul can be found on the UK's rich list at ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã108. If they no longer had the passion for the game they have no need to continue.... they have far more money than they will probaly ever use. also when we look at Jagex as a company they are in the top 100 companies to work for, they spend atlot of money on their staff treating them well, and doing things with them..... that is losing profit no matter how much it motivates staff. At the end of the day Jagex is a company and need to make money to suvive... so so they should good company good product they deserve what they get. Although I dont feel that money is what drives them! Money is a biproduct of their passion.
