Archive - Introduce Yourself
Well I'm Bobbington2, I originally signed up to the tip.it forums along time ago so that I could view somthing, but after than i pritty much left. But now BOB is back!!1 :ohnoes: I am 114 cb, and hate begging, rudness, and high levels refusing to talk to low levels becase of their stats! (everyone is equal untill they show what they are like) I am a forum moderator on the official forums, so I should cause you no problems (infact I intend to prevent problems), and I have decided to start getting more involved with the comunity. So here I am! I admire the forums here as they are a much smaller community, the official forums as im sure you know are disadvantaged by their size, we are forced to have stricker rules just to control this. over the last few days, I have noticed the community here trys to support its self, being a smaller community it seems to encorage maturity. Well, I hope I benifit your comunity, and that I will contribute. To the forum mobiel!

In-Game World Map (120+ Supporters! Pictures! Support Sigs!)
Yes! I like it I do! :P I feel that keeping the map type features together is better, also I feel that the gap next to friends could be put to better use.

In-Game World Map (120+ Supporters! Pictures! Support Sigs!)
That is a very intresting idea actually, however i'm not too sure how possible it is. I would imagin it would cause a dangerous amount of lag. More importantly I like where you have placed the button, that area has never been considered by me before, and is quite a nice location...... That section of the idea is more likely to lead onto somthing.

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
Hi, I've not looked at this suggestion for a long time, but i like very much how it has been addapted. My only current consern is the text buttons at the base (lock, swap etc) As im sure you have heard Jagex are currently translating the entire game into german, to increate their target audience. Unfortunally in German words are much longer than in english. This is why jagex changed the interfaces, and are slowly replacing more and more text, with pictures, and tool pits (popup streachable boxes like seen on the prayer menu) Currently you are using text, however it would be better if you could addapt the buttons so that they have icons rather than words, not only would this save jagex more thinking if they implament this, but it would allow people of much more nationalities to read it. \ Edit: have you considered switching round the default options for bank organisation. Currently they are set so "swap" is default, I belive this is because "insert" was not added to a later date. However, as far as I am aware most people prefer to use insert, rather than switch. Maybe you could change this?

Old attractor vs New attractor
Has anyobdy tested it at the greater demon cage in the orge city dungen yet? I am intrested if the cage counts as blocking your way or not.

Old attractor vs New attractor
I think the new version is far better, I have not yet tested it, but I simpaly saw no point in using the original with its slow colect speed. The change came about from suggestion on the official forum which Mod Newmatic (the developer) responded to. I was very supprised when Jagex did this, as i dont remember jagex making a major change to a quest reward in the past. Nice one jagex!

Do you still have an RSC account?
I do indeed have a RSC account, however, im not sure if it will ever be put to use. I ocassionly log in for 10 minuits or so, however the lack of the manual to explain what I should be doing means I cant realy get anywhere. I belive I am only level 8, and I have not got my amulet ofaccuracy yest (the games newest rare. He may get trained one day, but we will have to wait and see.

should 99 cooking/fletching deserve respect?
Whilst I respect ANY level 99 skill, I must admit level 99 cooking, and fletching are not as equally respectable. They are both the easiest skill to reach the level 99 in, well...... Firemaking is possibly the easiest, but as it is useless, its not a common target. Skills that can be bought, that offers a high xp:time ratio, and then can offer a high GP reward is hard to respect. I feel the most respected 99 skills are: -smithing -RuneCrafting -Herblore -Mining -and Farming.

granite has better stats then rune plate...
It's very intresting. When I first tried to compare my stats, I think I was getting confused with the switching. and ended up with a mixed result. After seeing this I relooked, and am very pleased to see the difference. As a non dragon chain owner, I am happy, but I would understand rants from chain owners. Previousally all granite equipment had some stats higher than rune, and some lower...... I wonder why it has changed?

I do find it very impressive, my only issue is i realy do like the right click option for withdraw amount, the righ hand tool bar just seems like a nusance........ will it have a default setting of 1? i take it? other things........ change that font on the curancys  and also remeber ecto tokens are curancey (even if under used) and for the message you want peopl to send to jagex, when i was sent the link to this thread was not a tip.it fourm user and so the link did not work, as it brought me straight to the login page, maby put some finingin instructions in the message

Tip.It Times Presents: Preaching to the Choir
Ok this is the first time i have ever posted on a fan site fourm! How lucky are you!? anywho, alot of the problem lies with jagex, years ago (befor i had started to play) jagex made news posts about "whats going on in the office" and how the team are, and with this much smaller comunity scamming (i am lead to belive) was a much rarer occurance, today unless you happen to be a fourm mod, and have access to the Mod center, there is no communication from jagex, apart from Ash, Greg, Mark, and occasionally paul who will somtimes talk to player on the official fourms, this lack of comunication has lead the game to being driven blind, players feel able to scam, 'hack', and cheat, as the game does not feel like some1's project of property anymore, It has lost its 'human' face. there are in my opinion a few thing jagex can to to supress the issue. #1~ talk to us, its not hard, and sure it wont seem prefessional, but like in real life, its much harder to hurt someone you know #2~ give the Player Mods more power, they are trusted players and can realy help, sure they can mute players, but why cant they stop them for trading, sort of a temporary "trade ban", of course players reported by mods with a trade ban put on the player, would have to take priority in the running order of reports to be looked at by the snap shot team, so any mistake can be lifted quickly. but being stoped from trading for 1, 2 day or even forever would masivly reduce the amount of people who scam. but its even better that that!! when a player is permantly muted, they will sometimes make a new account, but with all there work sitting there they are less enclined to make a new thro away account.
