Although previousally luring had never been against the rules, it had always remained a grey patch in the rules, much like 3rd party clients. I feel the thing that happened is in both situations a HUGE mistake was made about how CS issues are handled. They should never have been conducted like that. But thats besides the point, now for the first time luring is fully against the rules!! :thumbsup: It was fully the right desission, and I aplaud Andrew to owning up to the mistake made. Admitting a mistke is very important and gives me much more respect for Jagex as a whole, which was lessend by the bad handling of 3rd party clients, and the original louring post.

Ok, as a forum mod ont he offical forums, I feel i should try and respond to this. As the german servers are new this sadly did not take long to be developed. Greedy selfish people who cant help but upset other people, who take things to their own advantage. The issue of the german scam has recently come to our attention, and we are trying to think of a good way to combat it. It's obviousally important (to me) not to "molly coddle" the forum users by banning the use of german world trades ont he english servers (and vise versa). But I think it's important to encorage sensible trading from the forum users. It's a huge case where we need to get players to take responsiblity for their actions, we need to have "buyer beware". I would love to warn players of the dangers of the German worlds, without explaining the scam to others. I personally disagree with how this artical has been written though, It seems to be having the primary action of giving wanna be scammers a new idea, and only secondly warning players. I feel sadly although I understand why this was made, it may have a negative effect

Trust me Bloodveld, they do allow posting on Youtube. It is an important advertising tool for the game. But as for what blizard ar doing with the competition, whilst that is a good idea, runescape has a younger target audience, and so have to protect the userbase more strongly. They cant tell people to use the site as if a problem developed through it the blame would come back on jagex. It come because of the personal infomation rule. Whilst on runescape everything you do and say can be moderated, and we can makesure you safe, however as soon as you are directed to a differnt site you can no longer be protected from the dangers on the internet, so whilst jagex probaly support sites like tip.it, youtube, google etc. It would be dangerous of them to say so.

Surely the fact that it's a "boring skill" makes it even more respectable? as most peopel dotn put the commitment into earning it. it's a skill that offers 100% loss, so even though it can be bought, it's not as easy as fletching or cooking for example. I personaly love the fire cape and plan to have one in a few months.

Ok, let me try and clear this up for you. I ahve previousally had a discussion about 3rd part videos and the offical atance on the matter is: Jagex will always remain the rights to their content being used, you can use videos of the game on 3rd party sites, however they must not be showing illegal use of the game, encoraging rule breaking, or showing others how to reproduce bugs (amongst others). The sites they can be posted on must not be breaking the rules of the game, so for example copyright permission would be removed if it was posted on a hack site. Jagex dont have an issue with Youtube, as it is quite a good advertising place. However its fair to say that if it creates damage to the game they have the right to say it cant be used. The reason why the riot video would have been removed will be becase it promotes rule breaking, Jagex to NOT listen to rioters, and if you have a video saying the opersit it will actually make these riots more common, and make the game a worse place.

Unless I cant use it at the current time, always homeport.

I am level 114 and some people would consider me a high level. I hate rudness, I am never rude, and only ignore people when they are being rude to me. -I do not give away free stuff -I will not show you the was to varrock from faldor, but I will say how to get there. -I will not respond to insults, or spamming. -I will not respond atall if you beg for stuff via f2p, But it is unlikely I will add you to my ignore list. I try my very best never to use my ignore list, as i find it rude. Even if I dont like sombody, I dont what them to think I am being rude and ignoreing them (apart from the above situations). I keep my private chat on "ON" so if people have me added, and they are only my ignore, they still see me as online, so can still PM me....... it looks like I am being rude when I dont respond..... so i dont use my list. I hate rude high levels, as much as I hate high low levels, and medium levels...... I will not judge people on combat or total level. I judge people for who they are, and their attitude towards others.

I !love! quests, quests are what gives the game a storyline, they are not "Do X!" they are "Do one!" they keep you intrested. I personally used to use quest guides...... never again..... I regret it so much! I have missed out on the story, and I cannot repeat it. Some quests i agree are HARD MEP2 without quest guides is a very challenging and GOOD quest. I personally did it without guides, man it took along time! and I did need the odd tip fromt he forums.... but I did it my self, and it makes you happy.

I dont think rares will ever be totaly gone. Or atleast they will go oneday, but not while the game is still around. However what is morelikely to happen is the market for people buying them vanishes! Yes that right, slowly there are becoming less and less rares (the videos are usually fake) most rares "disapear" when people slowly stop playing, not so much acidental alching, or banning.... and only idots die with rares! Basically there will come a point when there are not enough of the product to support a market. The areas in world one and two will disapear as they are not fast moving enough, and so the price will flatten off very quickly. There will come a point when for long periods of time nobody is selling rares, and so when they come to sell, there are no buyers left as there are nobody looking for them. This lack in buyers will make the rares drop in price and this rapid drop will slowly start to bring the market back, but I dont see it being for long. So whilst i think unless jagex take them out, rares will always be around, but the sellers and buyers will not.

I think it is a shame to say that jagex are making this happen. They are not actually doing it on purpouse. the people who make the censor are very aware of the current usse with S'es and have tried many times to fix the problem. Currently they are still having issues....... it just likes getting stared! A while back when the german beta was launched, the same problem happned with the letter "K" things like "IDK" came out as "ID*" however they where lucky here and the fix was easier. Only time shally judge the sneaky s!

Hummm, I ahve never considered it like that. However I belive you are wrong! I have seen mod craddock and Paul both stat numorus times that they are currently working on alot of high level content, according to mod Caraddock, a high level is a skill 75+ which I can accept. Whilst I think your point is valid, I belive (and hope) you are wrong.

I have no issues with the skillers. I personally see it as a statment; "I dont need to kill stuff to do well" I personally, like training combat, but alot of people want to be known at that low level guy whith the amazing stats, its a symbol of uniquness, nomatter no much on lookers want, they can never have an account like yours.

My problem with the capes for f2p are the stats of the capes. Boot capes are gloves are seen as members only armours, I dont feel that giving free players what is basically an obby cape would be a good desission. However I do agree they need somthing like that.

Ok, I have seen your posts, and if I read them I too would have hidden them. They where just 3 big posts of flaming, and I dont feel it would ahev been fair to have kept them there. Us moderators dont know if you are coming back to edit somthing, we can only judge somthing on how it appears. I suggest before you post you should think more carefully about what it is you want to say,and how you come acorss. If you have a problem with Skates (the mod in question) actions you need to contact Jagex with the following information: The full name of your thread (where the issue occurred). The name of the forum your thread was posted on. The name of the Moderator in question. So that they can look into it. But I suggest you think about how your posts looked to readers before doing this.

Not so great, I just occasionally use him to redo some old quests that get a graphics makover. But bobbington2 is the only account I actually use :P

For people who say: I feel you are totaly wrong,there are many things that fall into the "Unwritten code" that do not break rules but still poepl look down on. For example: Who would say that begging for "Phr33 st00f" is acceptible as it is not aginst the rules? Not many! Infact the only people that consider it ok, are those who have never been begged from. There are many things that fall into the "noob" catogory that are not accepted by people. Even though the offical rules say it's ok, I say it's not! It's deseatfull, unrespectfull, and generally not fair playing. I'n my opinion Luring is just as bad if not worse than Abby pking..... it's picking on those people who are not able to defend them selves.

It's intresting for me. I would not like to say that I'm addicted or obesssed with the game, although yes..... I do play more than I should (or I did anyway, not really been on that much for a few weeks). When you talk about playing rather than doing school work. I have to make a confession, my uni work does suffer at the hands of this game. BUT I dont thinks that because I am obsessed with the game. I have always had a low work ethic, i will find an excuse not to do my work, and this has been the same even before I tarted playing a few years back. Its a result of a personality flaw rather than obsession (and no that personality flaw is not obsession :P). I will never say no to friends so that i can play games, In fact I dont think my firends even know I play...... i like to keep the two things seperate. When i'm ingame the real life things are no longer there, If I had real life friends playing...... It would not be the same. The game for me is a way to switch off.
