  1. Yea, rumble is brilliant. I played GoldenEye without rumble for years. Then I finally got a pak and it was just "damn, how did I survive without this :|"
  2. If you don't want to use MySQL - use Oracle. It's actually better, and the developer release isn't that big.

:uhh: Go and watch stuff from the '60s. Then stuff from the last few years. Throw in a few HD shows, back to the 90's, another few 60's some more 90's and another HD if you want and tell if you honestly think the difference is that big? It's pathetically small in comparison, and considering that's what I'm used to doing - HD is nothing special.
  4. Lucky TP owners :( I started a new MM profile on my GC version just to get my Zelda fix
  5. Yeah, because women are bad at it and get their husbands to do it. It is as though, in general, women and reversing don't mix. At the supermarket I see them trying to go forwards into a space and taking several shots at it before finally being straight. I'll probably say it comes down to confidence and reaction time. That and men tend to be more agresive drivers, so we don't [bleep] about getting it perfect and keep trying for 20 minutes, etc. Near enough is good enough. Out of all my friends, the females are more timid behind the wheel. There's only a few (females) who are an exception and that's only because they're rural people - and generally more rougher than the city boys I know :P

Having a HDTV is only part of the process, you actually have to be watching HD broadcasts to enjoy the benefits. Otherwise its no different to standard defI've watched: Analog broadcast tv Digital broadcast tv HD broadcast tv And in all honestly - bugger all difference between any of them.

My family owns a HD TV, and I can honestly say - that the difference is bugger all to me.
  8. Either way, most people will recognise it from DD :P

Kinda like Australia where most of it is desert - that's why no one wants to live there.
  12. Essentially you can't stop it. What's more amusing is when you tell it to write to statup dir. So eventually you get the boot cooling x copies of it, along with those copies writing to boot, and executing another copy. Recovery point please
  13. um, DIA might do it for you.
  14. I didn't read the post of his that you quoted. You did say proof that they can roll on the road though... His post stated they roll easier than anything else. Turning sharply in any vehicle is going to roll your car. *shrug*

It'd also be the biggest flop ever - and it wouldn't be an official release by MGM anyways. So there's no point.
  16. People have been saying that Sony is losing money on it from the start - that's nothing new :uhh:
  17. While motion sensing isn't a new technology, and has been used before, Duck Hunt didn't use it. It was all about reading the switch between light. Right after you shoot, the screen goes black, and you can see a white duck on it. The gun just reads the change of light. I just read an article on it, I'll see if I can find it again. I did say really basic. Change of light and such what not - the concept still plays on the use of an external device that you point at the screen no different to the wiimote ;) Motion or change of light, it still works very well.
  18. You can roll a sedan in a similar fashion as well.
  19. I might be wrong, but personally I find the idea of controller-with-movemental-control (or whatever it is called) quite revolutionary, and as experimental I meant that afaik nothing like this has been tried before with this scale, so I'd take it as a large-scale experiment to see if the world of gaming is ready to move on to new dimensions of gaming. Thousands of Arcade machines have worked using similar technology for decades. Hell, Duck Hunt used a really basic version of it. It is not brand spanking new, but it is new in what it has brought to console gaming.
  20. I'll have to disagree with that statement and say the only time they roll is when the driver does something absolutely stupid in it. If you can provide me with a link proving they are capable of rolling while on the ROAD I might change my mind. But everything I hear about them rolling is related to off-road use (omg - rolling doing what they are designed to do, go off road). Two ways to NEVER roll a 4x4 offroad: 1. Always check the track if you're unsure 2. Have someone spot you if you still have concerns. While it might still happen, at least you can get yourself out of the situation BEFORE it happens with the above - BASIC 4x4 rules.

you'll never be able to unless u try  Precisely. I had mates who would. I just kinda watched, then was "yea, i could do that" first move I ever did were 1 footed swipes, which I later managed to lead into air flares :D

  24. Don't forget you could probably cook food between them. Assuming they actually existed ;)
  25. And if you don't have / want cables laying all over your floor - what then? :P
