@xvillexvalox: disregard the meaning of war, and put it simply: Animals kill animals of the same species. We (as Humans) do it on a much larger scale simply because there are more of us, although the ratio would be somewhat similar. And nothing stops them swiming wherever they feel like. But in that region, that close to shore - there's bugger all of their normal food source. Unusual at least that it was that close.

[cabbage] humans are the only species to go to war within itself. Territorial animals attempt to kill each other all the time. As for the shark, I dunno. Sucks the kid got his leg half bitten off and stuff - but considering there's been 5 attacks in the last 5 years (2 of which fatal) I would've expect them to have been more cautious. By all means kill the shark, really shouldn't have been that close to the shore to begin with.

Meah, Southbank is slowly losing its sparkle. And see, there's nothing decent in Brisbane; It's all at the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast. There's also Frasier Island, Stradbroke and the Hinterland. South-East Queensland is all good, but Brisbane itself is lacking.
