Half this thread smells of Bloodsport or Fight Club or some weird hybrid of the two...

I'd feel less hate spite towards this particular movie if they hadn't air-balled the start. That doesn't mean I would like it, but I would like it more. As per the Yates quote "Its a very difficult juggling act but you just do your very best to make the film as in-the-moment as possible and you have to make certain choices, which are difficult at times, which just make that adaptation fit more into that cinematic experience in the theater." - I have to wonder which bright spark decide to start the movie how it did. I could learn to overlook other.. issues if they didn't invent crap that didn't happen in place of something more worthwhile... *shrug*

My only 'rl fighting style' is some weird mix of Karate and Nindokai... about the closest 'training' you can get for a street fight that i have come across around here..

And this is why I press things flat between books, not inside them ;)

I support their decision. The article never says anything about whether or not he was still drinking heavily prior to being in hospital but from the sounds of things, he was. Now if he was in AA and already been sober for quite a while before needing the liver transplant that's a different thing all together.

@Outsanity: That's compared to what was ditched. I never said the should be ditched instead. In true HP6 fashion they almost could've just had Dumbledore telling harry that through his "extensive travels" he has learned that Voldemort created a number of them, thrown him the ring and diary saying these are the first, and then progressed to diving into the memory where Tom sees the locket and Cup. And his interview at the school. Those two alone would fill the void of how many are left, and most likely what they are, apart from the snake and harry of course, but whatever. I'd put money that they write it in that Hermonie pulls some stuff out of thin air about V's attraction to Hogwarts and how the rest are items from the founders, etc. And just an addition, not including them all creates plot holes they last movie(s) will struggle to fill in any kind of logic manner.

Two rather unimportant memories compared to what was ditch too, to be perfectly blunt.

What was the tattoo of?

I have a lot of issues with the movie... mostly the lack of rather important concepts for the 7th... [hide=stuff]1. Harry never found out he inherited #12 Grimwald Pl. How are they going to work this into the next movie, or is it just going to be scrapped in place of them wandering the wilderness forever? If it is, then say goodbye to Kretcher and their lead on the true locket then... kind of a fail way to handle a rather critical item, since RAB signed the note that I'd assume also goes unanswered since they find the answer to that Q at Grimwald Pl too... 2. The Burrow got burnt down, when now I would assume means there's no wedding.. without that the mentioning of Bagshot and knowing Dumbledore, etc and their link to the Sword of Griffindore is lost.. and that's also their turning point to leave and start hiding 3. You never meet the new minister, which is the prelude to all the "random" muggle destruction at the start, but w/e. I'm sure people unfamiliar with the book knows wtf happened there. 4. The whole H/G and R/H concept failed hardcore. I mean srsly, Harry almost kills Draco and Snape lets him run away? BS. Nice... 5. The lack of the DA+OP V DE in the end is just messed up. I agree that the presence of DE is pointless without having some kind of a fight of Good V Evil, despite how cliche or overworked it might be. 6. The memories, you really need the memory of Tom killing the witch and stealing the Locket and Cup, otherwise how the hell does Harry determine that the other Horcruxes are items from the founders, and in essence the snake too. That's explained by Dumbledore to Harry 'bout the same time, etc. And I really can't be bothered anymore. Looking at it from an outsiders view, none of the next movie will make sense, unless critical items are handed out on a silver place... like he actually DOES get the sword, etc as it is told in the will. And actually, since you never see the funeral, people will probably be "Wtf.. where is that?" when Voldermort goes to get the wand, etc. At least you actually see them take Ollivander, I guess that's sometime.. but still... all in all, the movie failed to deliver on way too much critical information so the last movie actually make sense.[/hide] Lastly, I wasn't very far away from walking out on this film, and I'm kind of wishing I had. From a directorial point of view, yes I semi-agree once they get there... although HOW they got there is a different issue. Much with the amount of ground he is now going to have to cover in order to make up for existing massive plot holes he created for himself but skipping over what seems like unimportant tidbits. The scene with the chick at the start would've been better spent cover the fact that Harry had inherited sirrius' stuff, etc. But not, replace it was crap which wasn't even in the book. Bravo, excellent directing there, although I should really be attacking the writers there mostly *shrug*

he was older when he finished; hence this guy is now the youngest to do it.. and there is a girl attempting it now who is ever younger still...

When I saw the thread title I was thinking "wtf how'd she finish that fast"

i would never ask those questions at a tattoo parlour, most of them are rough with customers from what i've heard. >.> If the artist is snobish or generally... rough.. go elsewhere. very easy system. If they want your business they will not treat you like crap. And there is generally one main reason to not get a visible tattoo: 1. Professionalism, if you want a white-collar job visible tattoos generally breaks the deal While there is strictly nothing wrong with them, if your job involves a lot of contact with clients, investors, etc. plenty of places still insist on "keeping up appearances" which means most body-mods are a no-go.

all i know is that it was used in a CAD comic

The way I see it, no age limit on alcohol; just a ZERO BAL when operating ANY method of transport other than your feet.

It's smart; EA tried in-game ads a while ago and plenty of people refused to buy said software due to it. In this case, Microsoft is adopting a different approach, and putting it on the dashboard where you really can't get away from it. Either suck it up and deal with the ads or don't subscribe to LIVE and have any multi player experiences confined to the room with the x-box in it. Tricky tactic and it will probably work unless they get enough people refusing to use LIVE which makes the Ads counter-productive to their goal, which I really don't think is going to happen. And from the sounds of things, it's going to be whatever ads they want from any company that is interested. Microsoft aren't Google, targeted ads isn't their style.

i eat the entire loaf; generally the two ends get used with the slice next to it. No point being picky when you eat it all :)

guess that works when you're dealing with an essential NPC

Still currently working at Stoxpoker doing video production, but as of Monday I will also be doing support for 4hrs a day Mon-Thursday on top of my current requirements. At least now I will actually have a solid hrs/week rather than almost 24/7 on-call system. Hoping I get my raise to $750/w tho otherwise I'll be rather pissed off.

Not yet anyways. Doesn't change the fact that eventually there is going to be a product using the best both have to offer.

Means that ZeniMax now has its hands on developers covering almost every game space; with the acquisition of id Software, they have secured a very solid foothold within the FPS market which was all they were really missing when you take a look at their other subsidiary companies. And if ZeniMax utilizes id Software well enough, they have everything they need to become a major player within the games industry.

Not preposterous at all. People can plan all the want about what they do and don't want to happen to them. Whether or not other people they encounter during their life agrees with that plan is another issue all together. Oh, and nature likes to throw spanners in the works way to often (refer to my 'wreck'). I didn't plan to get into a wreck, it just sort of happened thanks to the change in weather.

The first accident I was in was just myself. Road was slick (first rain in about 4 months) and I turned right from red arrow. The back of the car just wanted to keep turning... I did a 180, took out a keep left sign with the passenger door and front quarter. The sign itself ripped up the fuel and brake lines as I slide over it before smacking into the barrier on the other side of the road with the front of the car. $6,500 damage on a car insured for $7,000. One more panel damaged and it would have been a write-off. Bloody insurance companies... My second wreck was ridiculously funny. But since this is only about first, no go there

And you have to install the x86bit along side the 64bit version of .NET 2.0 otherwise OBMM doesn't work properly.

Did it cost two arms and a leg?
