  1. Australia has some prisons which have better facilities than a lot of public schools, and public housing.... way to go governments. I quite like the asian approach, dark, dirty and crowded. Probability of death in jail ... decent. None of this serve a 20yr sentance and be in perfect health at the end of it bs :uhh:
  2. That's what I don't get. How are they going to get more money? They're not moving any offices, they don't seem to be planning any consolidations... If they're not going to streamline their business by removing duplicate functions, I don't follow how they're going to get more money? :-k Basic ecconomics really, gross profit for the "parent company" is more than both "child companies" would've made on their own, so at the end of the day, disposable income which can go to either (depending on requirement) is increased.
  3. Ethics and morality, yes, so long as the foundation of said 'classes' are not based on religion.
  4. It's already happening, this is just a way to fortify it :P
  5. Personally, grades mean squat onces you have commercial experience in a field of work. And - people can study all they want, but I (and a lot of people I know) found it better to be a master of something, than a jack of all trades and try to do awesome in everything. By all means do it if you want to... just consider that when it matters, the people who make the call will not care about stuff unrelated to what you want to do.
  6. I think i found his secret... guy works in a dvd store right... he probably knocks around stock a bit then writes it off as 'damaged in store' and takes it home with him after it is lost in redtape :-$
  7. That's assuming they are capable of getting off the lounge, and not drowning in rubbish from fast-food joints on the way to their fridge in the first place :P And yes, you do fail :)
  8. Where is henman and what did you do to them
  9. Went to a mates wedding yesterday actually; it was fairly simple. About 50 or so people and reception at home. Rain was a bit of a dampener in the evening for a bit, but it was still good :)
  10. A minimum 12 megabits and you're calling it crap? It's better than ADSL and when you consider that a lot of suburbs (around major cities) are not ADSL2+ enabled for a lot of ISP's; that's a good thing the min connection is being jacked up to much. Seriously, it was 6 months or something before my exchange was ASL2+ ready, and still only like 3 ISP's other than Telstra made it available :uhh:
  11. only really play it during LAN games now... Good fun, but only with other people on. The AI sucks [wagon].
  12. Ooooh scandal! Do tell, do tell... No biggie; some douche rolled his car in front of my driving back from work one day though. [wagon] ricers and their inability to keep control of their rubbish.
  13. The following items are on my 'to get list' soon. -The Ring Cycle (Ring, Ring 2, Ring 0) -Ju-On 1 & 2 -Ultimate Bourne Collection Good thing I got steady hours now
  14. Still being alive is a good one, after the start of this week :uhh:
  15. ____ replied to Futurama's topic in Off-Topic
Yes to all 3, although the last not exactly just to me. Right Mel? :-k
  16. Yea.. I just read it and i'm like... damn bl to introducing yourself :-?
  17. #-o It's a segment for Rove: Live, which means it would've been played back during the show, and that laughter you hear would be the studio audience. as for me, not a big fan. a few small chuckles but nothing major. I'm more a fan of standup, than sketches... if you'd call it that :-?
  18. How do you pronounce Ragen then? Aaaaagghagen? Just curious :XD:
  19. A stutter is very distinctive, repitition of syllables...
  20. Yea, I see stories on the news of people who are crippled by their stuttering and it's just sad. Mine was never as bad as some (who literally can hardly say their name without taking 20 attempts and even then it only just makes it out in a comprehensable manner :(
  21. Very close daan, very close 8-) And I pre-ordered (for a week, zomg!) this... And still 2 months till Blade Runner arrives :(
  22. Wasn't it PETA that had shredded meat mixed in with the feed for sheep bound for export from Australia a few years ago? Nothing like ecconomic terrorism to really get yourself noticed. The essentially cost Australian farmers millions because of their [cabbage], and if life wasn't already hard for them as it was :uhh:
  23. When I was in Grade 6, we had external German/French teachers come in, and for my Oral Exam for German she failed me because she didn't believe that I stuttered, just was that convinced she was right and that I just couldn't speak the language. It took 4 weeks, and 6 written letters from my speech therapist to convince her that she'd screwed up and to pass me :uhh: In Grade 7, however, myself and a friend did a short movie in German (for the major assessment item) and I didn't stutter at all during it, but questions after we'd shown the film and it nailed me a fair bit. I would literally have to stop, think, reword phrases in order to get it out smoothly. Which, after all that in my youth, I find it amusing that I am so effective in retail as a sales assistant on the floor where I spend most of my time talking to customers either on the phone or in person. And I'm yet to stutter in those situations. For me, personally, it has mostly been a matter of how relaxed I was feeling as to how bad it was.
  24. So did I for most of my primary school years. It still comes and goes, like nowdays it can be a real pain in the arse when i'm tired, but hardly ever :)
  25. Well done rob, looking forward to the EP release though :P
