First and foremost, my old desktop died, and I'm going to be studying abroad, so a laptop is going to be the best solution for a while. I've got a maximum budget of about $800 at the moment, although I can afford to spend a bit more in a few weeks. The most I'm looking to do is run Skyrim and Battlefield 3 on good settings, preferably higher settings with Skyrim. This laptop would be a good starting point, and I can go from there. Note: I have to pay a 9.5% sales tax with Newegg because one of it's warehouses is in my state, setting my actual budget to something like $750, with some flexibility. I'm just setting this as a rough point to start. My old machine's specs (almost anything is an upgrade in other words): OS: Windows 7 GPU: Nvidia GeForce 9600GT CPU: Intel C2D @2.4Ghz RAM: 2GB

I've heard of those wilderness camps. I've heard nothing but horror stories from them. Had that happened to me I'd be yelling that I had a bomb at the airport. Those camps statistically cause more harm than good usually.

http://store.steampowered.com/ Time for some more awesome criminal deals. There's also one other thing of MAJOR note: Day 1 deals:

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/americas/2011/12/2011121544018945737.html Jesus [bleep]ing christ. There goes the Constitution. Add on that SOPA/PIPA bullshit, and I don't think I've ever wanted the entire government and all it's lobbyists murdered before. Not like this.

Page 2 wtf. In other news I finally got my goddamn macro in order and am now almost in plat. I've cut down on queuing and in general started getting expos earlier. And coL.drewbie recently posted a guide (link here) on TvX matchups, which I've found to be really damn useful. And I can't beat diamonds either to save my life. For example in a TvT on an obs we both did a 1-1-1 type opening, he responded to a banshee with a viking, and while I kept doing marine/tank pressure and eventually took out his natural and locked him in, he counter-dropped something in the range of four medivacs which contained two tanks and a large handful of marines. I died because I couldn't get enough forces back to stop it. What do? This was on close by air metalopolis btw.

Not really. It's easy enough to get into. -
Nice card. Related: Im home in Socal for the week, and i found out my friends have pretty much taken a hiatus from Magic in my absence except for one, because he playhs competitive and the others dont want to drop money on it. Im with the whole not spending money, which is why Im sitting out standard this season. But were playing casually tomorrow, should be lots of EDH games. I ended up drafting it on Friday, and pulled it from the first pack. I would be perfectly content with just leaving with it. I don't even spend much money on the game though, except for draft or cheap single cards that get my attention. Probably going to buy a box when Dark Ascension comes out though.

But... there's all sorts of smelly and squishy parts on the inside.

I think I've crashed more jets into other jets than I should. It's literally responsible for 85% of my jet deaths.

EVERYONE DO THIS RIGHT NOW. Go to Riften or Riverwood and hit up the Inn, and try looking for a dude by the name of Sam Guevenne. That quest is the best thing ever about this game. Also Sprint, you should up Alchemy to a pretty high level, then make potions that fortify Enchantment for a bit. Then while under that effect, make some awesome gear that fortifies Alchemy. Repeat this to make even better potions that fortify Enchantment, then better Fortify Alchemy gear, etc. It's an infinite loop that utterly breaks the game. Why is my bow doing 63000 damage a shot? -

There's one you have to fight at the very end, like after that priest there's one quest left. The others are optional, and there's like 8 IIRC. [hide]Also, there's one you have to fight at the end of the Mage's Guild/College plotline, and he's stupidly hard. As in unless you're maxed out, you can count on him killing you in two hits. Also, don't try to summon anything against him. He just uses some spell to gain control of it and try to kill you with it as well.[/hide] -

Uhh, maybe there's a way to revive them using necromancy or something in the Conjuration tree. Other than that, I think they're dead, Jim. Also, dragon priests are level 50? No wonder I had difficulties at level 15 against one. -
