Why can't adults drink?
I already have defined it. The amount of alcohol doesn't really have much to do with drinking responsibly since it affects everyone differently. If someone drinks two beers and gets naked and runs around on the street, I'd consider them a less responsible drinker than someone who drank 12 and stayed relaxed the whole time. The exception would be drinking until you need to get your stomach pumped, but that isn't a specific amount of alcohol - it's different for everyone. It really just comes down to knowing your limit, which is a big part of responsible drinking. Nope, just that if you plead me to give you some information so much that you should at least have a reason for it. I gave you the information you wanted - which put the discussion back on track a little more but your responses consisted of nothing more than irrelevant flaming. I don't care if you flame me but at least complement them with some relevant points. That's all I'm saying. I'm trying to have a discussion about alcohol whereas you've given up long ago and persistently try to avoid it. Yes, which makes it even more astounding that you still think anyone who drinks is an idiot. You say it can be used responsibly, but yet you think everyone who drinks is an idiot - whether they are responsible or not. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever. If you want to call irresponsible drinkers idiots, I have no problem with that. But I ask this again: What is so idiotic about responsible drinking? They aren't "unlikely" though. I'm not even that big of a drinker but when I have drank, that is what happens more often than the bad things you brought up. And I only said we're in an infinite loop because you told me it was "rude" to not respond to our posts, meaning it would be considered "rude" for us not to respond back to you. It was sarcasm. I don't see how that is rude at all. It's amazing how twisted your definitions are. You think it's rude to not quote someone back, but yet you think it's respectful to say that you are an idiot if you drink.

Why can't adults drink?
Depends on who you saw drinking I suppose. In my lifetime, I've only witnessed maybe about two people who can't handle alcohol. Everyone else seems very chilled and relax after a few beers. Why did you want them so badly if you weren't even going to respond to them?

If slavery was legal...
Not all of them have, but what about the ones who have? I don't think it's racist to bring up skin color anymore than it's sexist to bring up gender. If you start making statement such as, "Black people are all thieves," then yes, that is very racist. However, saying that you don't like when the black people in your school treat slavery like it was the only important thing in history, I'd say you are pretty justified so long as you don't look down on the entire race for that. Not necessarily - you can be different but still equal. Black people are generally more athletic and white people are generally better at business. That doesn't mean either race is better than another though. Okay, I didn't know you were just making a point. Sorry.

Is God real post your thoughts!
Yes, but you're also someone with not as much faith as him. If he has faith in God then he has faith that God was the creator of everything and the ultimate decider. His decisions about looking both ways would not affect God's decisions. I agree, excluding the smiley face.

Is God real post your thoughts!
I was saying it wasn't a good choice. You don't know where the meteor will hit, so running would be just as futile as standing. And in the case of God, you can't label precautions as working against his will. If that were true, any action you do can be "working against God's will". Plus, I'm not a Christian but I'm pretty sure it's impossible for a human to ruin God's plans anyways. Whether someone looked both ways or not, they would still be following God's plan.

Why can't adults drink?
I know that you are going to continue posting here. I made an attempt to at least bring us back on topic so your posts won't be as spammy. You declined and pretty much said, "Nah, I'd rather post and be irrelevant than post about the actual discussion.": I think it's funny when people purposely abandon the original argument but keep arguing anyways. It kinda proves how you were wrong but you just don't want to admit it. Now you just completely shot your foot off. In other words, I don't think you can make yourself look any worse. Wait - maybe now is your chance to actually prove me wrong! Please tell me, what is your reason for posting? I'm very curious. I am posting in hopes of having a discussion pertaining to whether alcohol should be allowed or not. Now tell me what you're here for, because it's obviously not for what the actual thread is about. So I need to post a specific phrase in order to let you get satisfaction enough to finally leave? No, you don't deserve it and I don't really care if you post here or not - you're the one making such a big deal about it. I was just making a suggestion - if it bothers you to post so much, just remember nobody is forcing you. Obviously it doesn't bother you that much. You just need something to complain about. Anyone who thinks drinking is idiotic is an idiot themselves and that's what I'm sticking by. I have many reasons to back this up too, but as you've said, you seen them so many times already.

The Poll Topic - Question 2
A, it would be more cruel to let the squirrel live because it's in pain and can't even move. I'd rather have them keep throwing rocks at it so it would die faster. Also, I don't know if animal control would do much about a squirrel anyways.

Is God real post your thoughts!
I know you're probably just going to think I'm having a jab at you due to the other thread, but I would be saying this to anyone. It might have been god's plan to make you want to look both ways. It's impossible to know what god's plan is at all, so the only thing you could do is live your life as normal. That's like saying a meteor is going to hit earth and even though you don't know where, you should still run away from where you're standing anyways.

Why can't adults drink?
Throwing in the word alcohol doesn't make it on topic. You stressed how much you wanted reasons and when given them, you ignored them. And in this post, you still choose to stay as off topic as you can because the more on topic we get, the more people see how your actual argument fails. I don't see anything about the initial discussion in your post. I'll bring it back up though since you are never going to: 1.) Alcohol can have many benefits to drinking it, as long as you are responsible. It is fun, helps you relax, helps you be more open, friendly, generous, and it puts you into a different state of mind so you might come up with new ideas or new methods of doing things. I have many memorable nights thanks to alcohol, and so do many others. Your argument seems to be suggesting that people like alcohol and buy it for absolutely no reason. There are many positive things about alcohol, which is why it's so popular and in high demand. 2.) Drinking alcohol is just as "idiotic" as playing video games or sports. There are always risks involved, but it is up to the user to decide what is worth the money and risk - not you. Don't be a dictator. If you ignore the fact that sports, video games, roller coasters, and cars have potential risks then you are just forming a double standard to suit your argument. 3.) Many intelligent men have gotten drunk before. Getting drunk isn't an activity that only [developmentally delayed]s engage in, like what you suggested. There are millions of people with an IQ over 25 who have gotten drunk before. But of course you are probably going to think of some way to justify ignoring all of those points with that beautiful logic of yours. Can't wait to see what you come up with this time. Wow, you're honestly saying I never gave reasons for opposing your views? Just do yourself a favor and search the words "video games" and "sports" in this thread. It's surprising how you missed them every single time I posted them, which was probably at least 10. Twice? Now I'm starting to think you are just reading a sentence or two then posting your reply. You conveniently didn't see the reasons of why alcohol can be good, you conveniently didn't see the reasons of why saying alcohol is for idiots is such a stupid statement, and now you conveniently didn't see me telling you how off topic your points are and how you should at least speak about things pertaining to the matter at hand. Agreeing to disagree still has the word disagree in it. I think your definition of it is for me to stop posting and let you have the last word... that's not what it means though.

Is God real post your thoughts!
Just playing devil's advocate here, I'm curious about the answer. If you must rely on a fixed population (such as a jury or voters) to decide if someone goes to jail or if someone runs the country, why can't it be applied to something not so important such as choosing a religion?

Why can't adults drink?
Like I said, SSJ and I were at least attempting to be on topic, but you completely ignored any relevant point we made. Yeah... making a paragraph like that had a much better point to it, right? You don't give counterarguments though. You just skip the arguments I made and ramble on about how stupid I am and how pointless this discussion is. We provided you with beneficial results that come from alcohol. Instead of trying to disprove them or do anything with them at all, you just go into tangent mode. Even though I still disagree with the other people on this thread, at least they gave some reasons as to why alcohol is worse than video games and such, but all you have been doing is... Yeah, I don't even know what the hell you are doing at this point. I think since you failed at the initial argument you just keep creating new ones out of thin air to "even the score" so to speak. Yes, prove how drinking alcohol makes you an idiot. I've been asking you to do this for quite a long time now. We aren't close, we just happen to agree with each other. Of course you are going to say that to make it appear like we're friends that are just ganging up on you, but in reality we're just a few strangers that have come to the unanimous decision that you are hurting yourself more than you are defending yourself.

Why can't adults drink?
Not busy enough to prevent you from making a post with no discussion value. Oh and lookie here, even though you said you're going to get to the argument side, your post still has no relevant points. Nothing but you complaining about how pointless this whole argument is. You even glossed over our posts that actually did have discussion value conveniently. Instead of making actual rebuttals to the points at hand, you just go for the flaming because you know that's your only option left. And everyone can see for themselves too. SSJ and I provided those reasons you wanted so bad of the positive effects of alcohol, but your response to them is nothing more than irrelevant crying. Goes to show how "great" your points are. But I already have. Nothing you say is going to convince me that I'm an idiot for drinking alcohol. I already agreed to disagree from the very start. That would mean that I provided no reasoning, whereas I have and you have not. You just said that talking to me was like doing this for an hour: :wall: First of all, how is it like doing that for an hour? Because your points are horrendously flawed that I disprove them in seconds and have to repeat myself since you seem to not acknowledge the fact that your logic against alcohol can be used against video games, cars, sports, or anything else? Second of all, it is an insult to yourself because it's not a very smart thing to do :wall: for an hour, is it? Like I said, nobody is forcing you to post here so I don't see why you're making it such a burden on yourself. You keep shooting yourself in the foot each and every time you post. You're making quite a name for yourself. Which reminds me... perfetc... I couldn't think of a better name for you myself.

If slavery was legal...
I have white blood and Native American blood. Native Americans are greedy to make casinos just because of something that happened in the past, and the white people were immoral for stealing their land. Is this considered racism or just a statement? That's along the same lines as censorship - even if something might be true, it cannot be said for fear of being labeled a "racist". By your own definition, that was racism too. You brought up a specific skin color and talked about it in a negative manner. Why should you have to? I'm sick of feeling sorry for people for no reason.

Final Fantasy Discussion thread
Yeah, I feel you. I took a break for a week and I'm back at it now. Got Matamune and Lu Shang's Badge today and sold it for the Wyrmhero Blade. I got about 30 more tiers of racing to go, so I'll probably get back to that tonight. What I really don't like is the Grand Armor and Grand Helm... Only a 1% chance drop from monsters that take forever to respawn... Danjuro was bad enough. :x After I do finish up, I'm definitely taking a break from Final Fantasy in general. I don't want to go straight into another one after spending probably over 200 hours on 12.

Nightmares.
I frequently have nightmares of scary video games that seem real. It's hard to explain. I know it's a video game because there are interfaces, but I still get scared when I'm about to die. I enjoy nightmares. It's nice waking up to your warm safe bad after thinking for sure that you were about to die second ago.

Why can't adults drink?
I wasn't even aware we were in a "battle of wits". And I know you don't want a wit-off. I don't want to embarrass you. If it's such a no-brainer then why are you arguing against it? You don't know what it's like to be drunk, so how are you going to claim to know how people think when they are drunk? From what I've seen, I become more friendly and easier to get along with after drinking. I've come up with new ideas as well because I think differently with alcohol. I've also seen it happen with other people too. It's really not as uncommon as you make it out to be - it just makes you sound like an Above The Influence commercial. There are many positive effects to drinking, which is why people like it so much. More open.* It might be "sad" for someone to have to go to a psychiatrist, but that doesn't mean we should get rid of psychiatrists. Yes, going natural is the best, but it's not always the most effective. Again, your argument can be applied to anything. "It's sad to have kids to make you happy. It's sad to buy video games to have fun. It's sad to use tutoring to understand math better." Problems come and people seek the answers for fixing them. You're saying that it's more sad to fix a problem than to let it stay as it is. Yeah, and going for a walk to reduce your stress is also "delaying facing the problem". Well, for one, you think that any man who has gotten drunk is an idiot. Do you know how many smart drinkers there have been? Sorry, but if you honestly think that then that makes you the idiot. What are you talking about now? Yeah, it is a word that is thrown around a lot but this discussion was intended to be serious at first... I was legitimately asking you if you really thought that drinking = being an idiot, someone stupid. You said yes. I defended drinkers, and then you went on to say how I am not letting you speak your opinions and I'm attacking you, bla bla bla, I'm asking you too many questions and forcing you to post, bla bla bla, my IQ is under 25, bla bla bla. Nope, never said that. If you have a real reason to call me an idiot, then I don't care if you say it. If you're calling me one for a stupid reason, such as partaking in drinking and asking you a question, then I have every right to argue back. In case you forgot, you were the person who came onto this thread and made a sweeping generalization about people being idiots. Maybe since you played the victim so much, you forgot that we are the ones who are defending ourselves here. You do know you're insulting yourself more than me, right? You seem to be hating this debate and making a chore out of it rather than enjoy it - like what I'm doing. It's funny how you complained about it, then you said you liked it, now you go back to complaining about it. Just a reminder: the only one forcing you to do this is yourself. Well, that doesn't fit with what you gave us. You said drinkers were idiots because there are other ways to have fun, it's expensive, and it's not worth the risk. Now you change it into having the intelligence of a 3-year-old. There might be some people like that, but there have been many many smart people who have drank before. You are making drinking into such a horrible thing, and I don't see any good reasons to do so. I never said alcohol was 100% healthy or that it's the best thing in the world. It's just something that should be treated similar to other activities in the world, such as video games. They cost money, they have a health risk, and there are alternatives to them. People lose their lives to video games, yet you don't make the same sweeping generalizations that you make for alcohol. According to you, everyone who got drunk is an idiot and your reason is because there are a few bad cases - but not all of them are like that, so why label all of the drinkers as idiots when you yourself even acknowledged that some can use it responsibly? What is so idiotic about responsible drinking???

Why can't adults drink?
I still don't get it. I didn't believe you because all my life I never knew about interior nostrils until today. Now I believe you though. Are you trying to make a parallel between this and our debate? Yeah, to someone who hates alcohol and never got drunk, of course you're going to say it "seems unlikely". When you are in a different state of mind, your brain works a little differently and you are going to think differently. And you might say having alcohol make you be more open is sad, but I say the exact opposite. If you should "only want to be yourself" then you're pretty much saying you should stay the same old person your entire life and never change. It's more sad to want to stay shy if you ask me. Nobody is 100% open and confident anyways, so there is always room for improvement. How are you running away? The problem will still be there after you turn sober - I'm pretty sure most people know that even when they're drunk. As for improving nights, yeah sometimes the night does go bad because of alcohol. But more often than not, it goes well, hence the enormous demand for it. People would stop buying it if it made them miserable. Not a lot? I'm an idiot because I drink and ask you a question, but when people call you one for real reasons (I can list them if you want but I'm pretty sure you would just complain about that) you just deny it and say "not a lot"? Oops, I used a question mark. I'm such an idiot. Your definition of idiot is the most idiotic I have ever heard. Since you showed signs that you are not budging and since I'm obviously not going to call myself an idiot for a stupid reason. I would call myself an idiot for numerous other reasons, but drinking is definitely not one of them.

Question 2: Are you lying? Question 3: Have you ever had a desire to own a monkey? Question 4: Are you willing to be a part of B.A.I.T.? Question 5: Are you an evil zombie overlord plotting to gain our trust and then when we least expect it, feed us to your zombie hoard? Question 6: Are you complaining that Question 5 is much like Question 1? Question 7: Are you questioning the fact that Question 3, 5, 6, and 7 have had nothing to do with zombie slaying? Question 8: Are you ready for Question 9?

Why can't adults drink?
I guess you're right then. But what was the point of that? Page 7: Page 11: Oops, that's a lot more than two. Oh well. No, they were the first thing that came to mind. 1.) You don't know if it makes you friendlier or not - you claimed to have never been drunk. And it might not work for everybody, but it has for a lot. I can vouch for it and I know tons of others would too. 2.) Fair enough, at least you acknowledge two good aspects, but in those quotes I have gave you way more than two. Hmm... isn't it expensive at bars and clubs? You can get it for a fraction of the price at a store. Beer can get really cheap and still have high alcohol percentage, like Natural Ice. A night of drinking is much cheaper than a ticket to Disney World for a day. No, but instead you are doing something else which is still equally stupid. I already have. What's the next step?

Main reason why teenagers shouldn't get tattoos
I think it's funny when people get them to look cool, but if they have a legit reason for getting one then I tend to respect it more. That makes them more like scars and scars have a story behind them. Yeah, it's true. I come to this conclusion because I can feel the vibe from all of you guys.
