  1. No, I have 2 and I have proof. Well, they have been listed so many times in this thread already but I will give them to you. 1.) It can make you more generous and friendly. 2.) It's a fun thing you can do without needing to be too active. I asked you to clarify that. You gave me your reasons of why alcohol is for idiots, and I see problems with your reasoning. You say it is stupid because you can have fun without it, the risks outweigh the good, and it cost too much. Everything falls under that category! There are millions of ways to have fun in the world, so of course there will always be alternatives. Roller coasters and cars have a high risk when you are not responsible, but that doesn't mean we should get rid of them. It's not the objects, it's the people. Some kid got his head chopped off because we walked near roller coaster tracks even though there were signs telling him not to be there. Who is to blame? The kid for going there or the roller coaster for being there? Anything can be deadly when people are involved - even sticks and stones. And people pay to have fun all the time - going to movies, amusement parks, concerts, video games, internet, etc. It's their money though, and they get to decide what is worth their money. We're both doing that. Feels good, doesn't it? Yeah, I know. What should we do about this??
  2. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue I used to hate this song, but I love it more and more each time I hear it. Especially the solo at the end.
  3. When did I say it's wrong for you to bring it up? Ever heard of the phrase, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."? Fits perfectly here. You can say whatever you want, but don't be surprised if I disagree with it. You know, instead of just saying my points suck with no backing, how about you show me how they suck? If you don't, it's just a cop out. Anyone can repeatedly holler "wrong! wrong! wrong!" but it takes some application to point out how it is wrong. Since you provide no backing or support, I'm just going to assume that you have none. I also like how you avoided the question. Seriously, what makes you think that you're a target of abuse? Except I wasn't the one complaining about how many times I had to post. I enjoy posting. If it is rude to not respond to someone, then that means we are going to have to keep responding to you since you will deem it as rude. Now we're stuck in an infinite loop. None of us will be able to stop, since it is rude to ignore people. It's funny though, because you made it seem like you wanted us to stop but now you are saying it's rude to ignore someone's post. Do you really feel this way or are you just firing blanks now? It serves as confirmation to better understand your opinions, that way I can fight against your confirmed statements instead of merely guessing what you meant and fighting against that. Too many strawmans happen when you don't ask enough questions. Yeah, this tangent is completely my fault. Not yours at all. Some logic that is. A = me getting bored, B = you getting bored. They were just worded differently. C = one of us admitting defeat, not assuming you have defeated someone. I don't assume that just because someone stops posting that I've won. I assume that from the very start. Why would I be arguing about something that I didn't think was right? We're talking about how the debate ends, you can assume you've won whether it ends or not, since there really is no official winner anyways. Nobody admits defeat, so C is out of the picture. This debate ending depends on either A or B. Wow, you really are paranoid. No wonder you think everyone on TIF is against you and that drinking always leads to death. Yes, we are highlighting the flaws in your arguments and logic. The posts were just as much of a "waste" as the posts of you defending them. If they don't effect you then why do you keep responding? Obviously they're not a waste if you keep responding to them.
  4. I hate Wii and GH. In my opinion, playing a real instrument is much much more rewarding, rendering GH as a huge waste of time. You get to make your own material, there is a bigger variety of notes you can play, and most of the songs on it suck anyways. As for Wii, I just never got interested in any of the games or the controls.
  5. Hell no, I wasn't saying it was an excuse at all. Sorry if it came out that way. I just think that some good might have come out of slavery. Like if you get kidnapped and tortured then finally escape, you'll probably appreciate life a lot more. It's no excuse to justify torturing someone though, just an optimistic point of view that can be held by the victims. I don't agree with Ratchet that it was the best thing to happen to them, but I do think there is a good side to it.
  6. Yes, I can keep bringing it up because it's what I'm arguing against. Alright, then how about you tell me what makes you this "target of abuse"? Is it because TIFers just have a natural urge to hate on people that have PER in their name, or maybe it's because we disagree with you and you keep defending your lame points vigorously so we fight back just as vigorously? The latter makes a lot more sense to me. What I want to know is that if Dizzle is perfectly capable of not posting, what makes it impossible for you? You make it seem like we're putting a gun up to your head and forcing you to post. You can quit whenever the hell you want. It doesn't matter to me. It's just really dumb to say that we're the ones making you post 30 times, when in reality you're the one making that choice. Yes, that's what a debate is. The whole point of it is to disagree with you, while you disagree with me, and we try to prove which one of us is right. Do you honestly expect me to suddenly agree with you just to make you happy? No. Drinking doesn't make you an idiot, and that's what I'm sticking by. I will continue bringing it up until: A) I get bored, B) you stop posting, or C) one of us admits defeat. C never happens though. I like being wound up. It helps me fight boredom. I know you didn't say that... the correct first sentence that you should have used would be "Drinking is for idiots" not "Drinking is wrong". Then when asked why, your response would have been something along the lines of, "Because it is a waste of money and there are other activities that aren't as unhealthy." Then it would be refuted with, "Runescape cost money and there are other alternatives that aren't as unhealthy, therefore you should think that Runescape is for idiots too." Either you are making a double standard or you need to come up with a new reason as to why drinking is for idiots, because your same exact reason can be applied to playing Runescape. We're not the ones saying RS is for idiots. We're showing you that you're the one saying that, judging by your own arguments.
  7. Except those Africans came from places such as Mali - one of the poorest countries in the world. America has much more career opportunities, medical care, entertainment, innovation, etc. But neither of us can speak for other people. They might prefer America over Africa, or vice versa. It just comes down to the individual. But personally, I'd much rather live in the US than Mali. I'm sure Obama feels the same way.
  8. The suffering itself is horrible, no argument against that, but the result of the suffering definitely can be beneficial. It's just a matter of weighing them out - is the suffering worth the result? I have Native American blood and I am thankful that America became colonized and became what it is today. I wasn't the one who had to suffer - my ancestors were. It's a stupid stigma to make it seem like slavery, something that happened generations ago, hurts our current generation. It's something we need to learn from and let go of instead of holding onto it dearly. It only serves as a grudge against white people today - the ones who had nothing to do with the slavery.
  9. Just because I asked for your opinion doesn't mean I'm not allowed to disagree with it. Didn't we go over this many times? Here my point is that you're playing the victim when the only difference between the two opposing sides are that you are outnumbered and don't have logically sound arguments on your side, so to combat this you pretend like we're attacking you when really all we are doing is defending the notion that drinking =/= idiocy. I don't care if you post or not. I'm just saying that you can't bring up Dizzle because the situations are different. The reason why we weren't debating with Dizzle for 30 posts was because he chose not to make 30 posts, whereas you have. So even though some people can drink it responsibly (no real negative consequences) they are still idiots? I'm not twisting the words. It's called an analogy. Look here: Person A: Homosexuality is wrong! Person B: Why? Person A: Because it goes against the Bible. Person B: Working on the sabbath is wrong too then. Person A: You think working on the sabbath is wrong? You're an idiot! Person B: No, I'm just saying that by your own criteria (if it is against the Bible then it is wrong) you should think that working on the sabbath is wrong as well. I don't personally think it is wrong. I'm just saying that if you think homosexuality is wrong then you should also think that working on the sabbath is wrong, but you obviously don't so you are just making double standards. Person A: Stop twisting words and attacking me!
  10. I got the Tournesol yesterday. Now all that's left is Grand Armor, Grand Helm, Wyrmhero Blade, 100 tier race, finishing up the bestiary, getting Matamune, and beating the game. Yes.
  11. That's a scary thought, but you do raise a good point. A lot of people are saying no, but that's mostly because due to our current society slavery is frowned upon. People back then sure as hell didn't think that since society was much different. As of right now, I feel that freedom is a very important aspect of life. I know I would hate to be slave, so I wouldn't want to put someone else through it. But if society were different, I don't know what my opinion would be.
  12. The fact that atheists made up the Flying Spaghetti Monster as a tool to show that anyone can make up a ridiculous deity points to its nonexistence. As for the others, you're right. It mostly stems from your background rather than a logical basis.
  13. Yeah, you made that pretty clear when you labeled us all "idiots". You are constantly quoting people too. You chose to make 30 posts. Dizzle did not. This is what I don't get. You keep claiming that you acknowledge alcohol can be okay, but yet you still think people who drink are idiots? That's a misunderstanding of the point. He wasn't calling RSers addicts - he was saying that by your logic you should feel the same about RSers as you feel about drinkers, since they both spend time and money doing an unhealthy activity when there are many other alternatives they could be doing instead.
  14. I never laughed at Spongebob until I turned into an adult. Now I laugh all the time.
  15. Nirvana - The Man Who Sold the World
  16. Good point. I just think we should try to combat this by other means instead of labeling entire generations as "immature". For example, instead of setting age restrictions, why not just make it legal but increase the punishment for doing crimes while intoxicated?
  17. I recently tried a PBJ sandwich with one of the end pieces and it tasted great. I might just use those things more often.
  18. If you survive then you have a badass story to tell everyone. Use that as your motivation.

  22. Great, more laws that cause more problems than they fix. Wait, was there even a problem in the first place? If consenting adults want to make a porno, who is getting harmed? It's a million times more immoral to throw those people in jail.

Being tortured to death. Also, getting pushed onto train tracks by a stranger right before the train comes. It would be quick, but those last 2 seconds would be a nightmare. You would probably want revenge on that person but it's too late for that.
  24. A week ago I got really light-headed and dizzy, started seeing red, my heart hurt, it sounded like I was underwater, and I started sweating heavily. I thought I was going to die, but I drank some water and I was fine. There was another time when me and some pals went into an abandoned house with drinks and a cop on a motorcycle pulled up to the house and started searching it, so we ran like hell.
