Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
You base this off a dissimilarity in personal ethics? The callous apathy to suffering is a trait either of a psychopath or a young person with very little actual exposure to life. I'm assuming the latter. I think we can all empathise to those with cancer, irrespective of our ethical perspectives. Sure we can empathize with them, but the willingness to lie to them in order to put them in a delusional state of blissful ignorance isn't exactly a trademark of maturity. It's essentially Platonism.

My most feared match type is SWAT on Pinnacle. Too many [bleep]ing spawn kills. I also detest anything Elite.

A range of 3-7 depending on the dynamics of the match. (If the match is relying heavily on Shotgun, Sword, Hammer, Rockets, Grenades, and Assault then I'll have it at 7. If it's a DMR or Sniper match, then usually 4.)

I agree. It's scientific fact that different ethnic groups and skin colors have biological differences that go deeper than mere skin color. The part where racism becomes ridiculous is when people assume "because he is X, he will act like Y". Maybe he might be more prone to act like Y based on his X status, but if you have experienced life at least somewhat then you should know that there's exceptions to almost every rule. It pisses me off to no end when people claim that stating harmless facts such as, "African Americans usually like rap," constitutes as racism. Pretty strong correlation there for us to just brush off for the sake of preventing feelings from being hurt... I agree. If you're that disgustingly apathetic to human life then GTFO. I won't miss you.

What was the worst thing you were caught doing at school?
What? I posted it in the last thread. There were two or three people in the administration who seemed to go out of their way to punish me when I was in the 7th grade. I never actually broke any of the school's rules, nor did anything worth posting about. Yep, I got in so much trouble over absolutely nothing in middle school. One time I was standing quietly in line chatting with my friends, as everyone else was, and my teacher just randomly started yelling at me. When I would ask what I did, she would just say, "You know what you did!" Maybe they should stop hiring nature's little miracles and actually get sentient beings to teach those grades? It wasn't until high school that I started being a little rascal. And I found a way to get out of anything. Good fight, know-it-all teachers.

I eat Tombstone and Red Baron pizza right as it comes out of the oven, piping hot. I have mouth scabs for days, but it's so worth it.

Choosing a career and education
I just started a week ago. Right now I'm only focused on getting an AA at the moment. Ultimately, my goal is to have a revolving-door career where I work on films, television shows, video games, and music - so I'm trying to work on a split between business and art.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Did I Let You Know? Not bad for such an old band. Not nearly as great as Californication or By the Way, but definitely better than Stadium Arcadium.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I'm in a LDR right now and have been for almost two years. This kind of relationship will only work if you are extremely focused on the long-term aspect of your relationship and if you think this person could be "the one." If both of you are not extremely dedicated to making the relationship work, it probably won't. If you prefer to be in a relationship to "just have fun" or get laid, it won't work and frankly, it's not worth even trying. But if you truly love this person and could possibly imagine marrying them some day (and they feel the same about you), you should definitely give it a try and there is a chance it will work out. But you have to exercise patience, understanding, and trust. You will probably have to put more effort into the relationship to keep it afloat. In a regular relationship, you can often get by without putting in extra effort because "just being together" is so easy and that's often enough. But in a LDR you can't "just be together." You have to make an effort to communicate and find activities that you can "do" together without actually being together. Very nice post. Although I would add that luck is a factor too. Even if both partners make their best efforts in keeping things going, sometimes it just wasn't meant to be. If you can maintain a functional long-distance relationship, then you are an exception and should be proud.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
I think that clubs (as in the [bleep]-a-stranger-factories) are some of the most distasteful, repugnant social outlets humankind has ever come up with. I wouldn't want it disallowed nor would I even consider it immoral, but it's surprising seeing how little respect people have for their majest-icals.

I respect those who share their opinion that I don't agree with much more than I respect those who are too afraid to share their opinion at all. But that's just me.

Drinking/Drugs
it is. some many people these days are weak. every time you get a little cold or can't sleep...here take this. take some concrete pills Taking prescribed medication is a sign of weakness in the same vein that eating food is a sign of weakness. As fallible organisms put under harsh living conditions, we are inherently weak. If you ask me, our strength lies in our capability to alleviate some of our biological short-comings through our own intelligent means. Nature's cheaters.

Tattoos are ok IMO (dunno if I'm ever going to get one though) but piercings are horrible My stance is the exact inverse of this. Piercings (in moderation) can look good on some people, but tattoos always warrant a condescending anime face complemented with a smart-ass remark.

The Style Thread
I always thought "hipster" was just synonymous with "aesthetic try-hard". Funny seeing a multitude of connotations.

Hot celebrities/models!! :) Post them here!!
Pretty accurate connotations if you ask me. Generally speaking of course.

Hurricane Irene
Hurricanes are nothing compared to tornadoes. The general public is informed days before it even has a potential of striking land. Compare that to 300 mph winds spontaneously generating in the middle of land. That's not to say hurricanes aren't tragic enough. And I'm sorry to those who've been lost and their families.

Halo Discussion thread
I fancy the updates. Armor Lock could have been a decent aspect if it wasn't executed so horrendously. The sword block is too random and unfair. I never really saw a problem with Camo, unless the whole team was doing it. (But then any ability used effectively by an entire team can be a nightmare.) As for bloom, oh god yes. I understand that there will inevitably be some degree of luck involved with a competitive FPS, but bloom in Halo is just disgusting.
