  1. Those who challenge the system. Friendliness on the internet is a sign of weakness and insecurity.
  2. They will not stop until they fall flat on their snouts. Just give it more time.
  3. But you're missing the whole point behind these seemingly gluttonous complex financial instruments - it was all done with good intention. They did it to make the world as a whole stronger and less dependent on monetary possessions. And that is why I would like to give a big thanks to Satan for letting humanity shine at its darkest of times.

What is your opinion on unnatural mind-altering substances such as soda or chocolate?
  5. It's because taxing itself is "unfair". A road crew worker has to pay taxes for the road he himself is constructing. Elderly people with no children have to pay taxes for bettering the educational system even though it's surely not going to have much of an effect on their lives. Firefighters have to pay taxes that go to others' health problems even though their duty is to prevent health problems from arising. The thing is, there are taxes that benefit you and there are taxes that don't. It might be "unfair", but only on a miniscule magnitude in comparison to the alternative of "every man for himself". If any taxing needs to be reduced in the US, I'd say non-defensive military expenditure. I don't see how anyone is benefiting from all that money being spent. [EDIT: But that's for another thread.]

    Goosebumps.
  7. OH GOD. ARMOR LOCK OR EVADE TEAMS. It's not really the players' faults for using what Bungie gave them, but yeah they definitely should've considered balancing things out more. And maybe actually spend more than five minutes to make multiplayer maps.
  8. My grandparents have their own swimming pool, so it's not like I'm forced to be hot the whole day through. It's just trying to sleep in a pool of sweat even though there are two fans blowing on me really makes me cranky. The humidity and sweat are more bothersome than the actual heat itself.
  9. Having a broken AC in Florida.
  10. Nom is correct. It is not the marijuana itself that has physical health detriments, but the smoking of it which happens to be the most popular form of intake. As for the mental health detriments, that could be a different story. Some individuals just cannot handle even the mildest of drugs responsibly. But this is no reason to make a substance illegal for everybody. As evidenced on this page, the burden of having tons of harmless people crowding our prisons and the taxes we have to pay in order to "combat" the detrimental effects of weed is substantially more detrimental to our society as a whole than a few idiots doing stupid things while they're high. Also take into account that it's illegal status gives government regulators less credibility when it comes to public health concern (when you take into account they are profiting off one of the top causes of death), it fuels an underground thug economy, and that smoking it has actually become more popular since it's become illegal. The Prohibition Act never solved anything, has it?
  11. I think his point was more about how doing drugs can have repercussions on more than just the users, rather than something as sadistic as wanting them to rot there and die. I agree with you though - I think it's a disgusting system where the wealthier you are, the better medical treatment you deserve. EDIT: Oh, nevermind lol.
  12. There are diamonds in the piles of poop. I don't know about /b/, but /gif/ has changed the way I look at cars and people forever.

    Selena Gomez is worse. (bump)
  14. Sees All, your religion is responsible for the deaths (and in some cases, molestations) of thousands. Regardless of the fact that you may practice it responsibly, it still scares me to think of all the negative repercussions that could and have arisen from it, therefore it ought to be outright illegal for everyone. We can draw parallels all day. We all have our "vices".
  15. I can't stand Evade. Maybe I'm just sloppy with it, but I run into trouble more often than I escape it. I've finally mastered the art of Jetpacking though. I love Jetpacking to avoid getting grenaded around corners - they rush into me expecting a weakened opponent.
  16. I decided that I'm not much of a clan person either. I have to go through so many other obstacles that have nothing to do with playing Halo in order to be a part of a close knit clan. I also don't have a mic nor do I like playing with one which seems to be a major prerequisite for a lot of these clans. However, my friends list has been growing exponentially and I now have a huge roster of skillful players to group up with.
  17. They asked me how I found out about them and they seemed to be pretty thrilled that you suggested them, Overdoziz. :P I still have to get through the recruitment screening though.

I doubt that youths who feel they have a viable future would risk it all for a pair of trainers. Do you not wonder why so many feel that they have NO future in life worth preserving? If you have never walked in their shoes then I feel it is lucky but only for you. I am pleased that you can feel an affinity with a mayor, PM and a government front bench who all attended public school. I feel sure that they ALL can empathise with the problems faced by "real people" You're right - anybody with a bright future ahead of them is immune to being stupid.

Schooling and employment are issues that need to be worked on, but I don't think it will fix the fact that idiots will worship a subculture of idiocy. Gangsters do this kind of stuff because it's deemed as cool and it lands them more respect points. Simply put, their interests are in the wrong places to begin with. No matter what type of intelligently devised political strategy you can concoct and how much free schooling you give out, it's most likely not going to change a teenager's opinion of a fun time. No, I believe that's the media.

This. They're only contributing to a bad stigma around rebellion. If they truly wanted what they claim they are fighting for (less strict government?), they wouldn't pick the most counter-productive means possible. On the other hand, these folk are notoriously unintelligent... Yes, there's also that. Sometimes I underestimate how little brain power is required to sleep, eat, and [bleep].
  21. Thanks guys. I'm checking out the Alpha27 site now.
  22. It was copy-pasta of cliche or overextended sexual fantasies played off as real events. The original topic, which was asking if you've ever caught someone else wanking it, quickly turned into a cesspool of mindless applaud to stupid stories. So I'm not the only one who rolled his eyes every time someone brought up the "epicness" of that thread?

It depends on what type of drinker you are. Drugs help motivate me, so I'd be at a disadvantage to go sober for an entire semester. Sleep is probably the most important thing you should be worrying about when it comes to your academic performance.
