I understand that refs are human and will inevitably make mistakes, but they are also subject to bias, emotion, bribery, and so forth. I'm no a sports fanatic, but some of the calls (and lack of calls) I've seen should have gotten the ref fired, plain and simple. Namely the ones revolving around fouls.

I don't watch tv, but lately I've been trying to watch the entire (uncut) Dragon Ball Z series on DVD. My friend's girlfriend has all of the seasons and movies so I'm taking this opportunity before it's too late and they break up. So far I'm at the part where Goku meets Nappa and Vegeta for the first time.

I play bass guitar. Occasionally I'll pick up a guitar and practice on it, but I just feel much more comfortable and talented on the bass. I have to be the world's worst drummer though.

wat Don't worry, there's only about ten movies out there that I consider "good". Kill Bill and Inglorious probably are good movies in the grand scheme of things. :smile: I also think The Matrix is boring if it's of any consolation.

Reservoir Dogs. Somehow manages to get better every time. How does Jackie Brown pale in comparison to Reservoir and Pulp? Is it at least worth the watch? If it's as bad as Kill Bill or Inglorious Basterds, I don't think I want to spend the time. EDIT: Oh yeah, also saw Shrooms. God was that [cabbage].

Between L4D, HL2, TF2, and Portal, Valve did establish plenty of likable characters, as evidenced through the amount of meme-attention they receive throughout the net. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried their luck in non-video-game fields of media. I anticipate a lot from Valve in the future as they're one of the only modern day game companies to actually "Wow" me. Who knows? They could be the first to pull off the 'video game --> show' thing successfully; they know how to win the public's heart with their characters and plots and they are constantly striving for something new, so they do have the resources and mind power to pull it off.
