  1. Censorship is horrible. All it does is shield your eyes from reality. The problem is that there is no escaping reality - we're all a part of reality and there's nothing you can do about it. You're going to encounter the stuff that's being hidden from you at one point or another, so why not desensitize yourself to it now? PS: I can understand censorship for privacy reasons, such as blurring/bleeping addresses and the likes, of course.

He probably figured that your Strength level would make up for you low combat, but he assumed wrong. If you want to get accepted on teams then you're going to have to train Strength no matter how ridiculous it sounds.
  3. Black Sabbath - The Wizard Linkin Park - Runaway I don't know why Linkin Park gets such a bad rap. Yeah, they have a large kiddie fan base, but should that be a good reason to not like them? They know how to compose music.
  4. Nice. I always dreamed of maxing out on FF9 but I didn't want to rush the whole way through to the end just to get Excalibur 2, and I didn't want to ignore it because I know it would bug me too much. So I decided to max out on 12 instead. Right now I'm like level 34 and still got a while to go, but it's still progress. By the way, I see RS in the background. How do you play FF9 on computer? :-k I'd love to try that myself.

You can't please everyone, so who would you rather it be? You or your friends? I agree. If you're just afraid that something will go wrong and the roller coaster will fall off the tracks or something, just think of statistics. You're probably more likely to get in a car accident on the way to the park than you are to get in a roller coaster accident.

I usually just ignored them after they asked to add them. Not with the Ignore List, I just stopped typing. I used to add everyone in the olden days but the few months before I quit, I got tired of having to add anyone I told my Hunter level to.
  9. I don't think any of that matters too much when it comes to who is a real friend or not. When I think of real friends, I think of people who would be there for you no matter what. I'd rather have a friend that constantly bashed me all the time but would help me out when I got into serious trouble than a friend who praised me all the time but would never be there for me. I mean, I'd rather have the best of both worlds of course but I find it more important whether they are going to be there for you or not. Yeah, I can understand a person saying something that stupid once in a while, but they're all in the same area and they repeatedly miss some of the easiest questions. Something's just not right. And good point about the audience being average people too.
  10. I didn't have any friends left before I quit. They either quit or just stopped talking to me. Oh well, who needs friends on the internet anyway?
  11. There's a difference between being a weirdo and being a criminal. Someone who makes sculptures out of toenails would undoubtedly be classified as a freak and probably shunned from society, but he didn't do anything wrong to another human being besides gross them out so why is punishment deserved? He might deserve dirty looks, but not 15 years of prison. Actually, thinking that the other stuff they found on his computer was real cp is an assumption. We're making no assumptions - we're basing our opinions off of what the article says and what we know. For all you know, the stuff on his computer could have just been all anime porn too. Innocent until proven guilty.
  12. When you have delicious grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, but there are no buns - only slices of bread.
  13. But what's the difference between drawn cp and movies/games of people stealing, killing, torturing, etc? Why does that line all of a sudden appear when we talk about cp, even though the media is completely fine with all the other obscene representations that you can think of?
  14. Better yet, less government control in general. Their duty is to protect us from bad people, and now we ironically need protection from them. They can turn mowing your city park's lawn into a criminal offense. Government can be good though. For example, the principles that America was founded on were brilliant but we've been drifting far far away from that point. It basically evolved from questioning authority to taking it up the [wagon] from authority.
  15. So true. Unfortunately, the only way to survive high school is to be a [puncture]. It's either that or get walked on. I learned the hard way. As for the topic's question, I've learned that discipline and willpower is really the only way to change your mentality about something. I used to be really depressed until I told myself, "This sucks. I'm not gonna be depressed anymore. This isn't the way I want to live." I'm still a pessimist but at least I enjoy life now. :)
  16. ^^ I'm the same way. It's gonna be a pain in the [wagon] for me to learn to drive. The worst part is that I've been trying to learn since 15 but my parents would never take me to get my permit. I'm 18 now, so more is expected from me which will just cause me to be more nervous and do worse. :(
  17. dang cussing out a teacher is an automatic suspension at my school Detention is worse than suspension. I don't even understand why suspension is considered a punishment.
  18. I can understand if we were talking about real CP here because there is exploitation involved. They are real people being recorded and you are just encouraging that type of market by being a consumer of it. Representational things are different though - there are no real people involved. Just like in GTA, you can run around killing and hijacking but it's just representational. No one's being harmed so you shouldn't get in trouble for it. I agree, the gateway argument is ridiculous. If anything, I'd say it would be an alternative instead of a gateway. People play GTA to reduce stress instead of taking their anger out on real people. People look at anime CP instead of engaging in the real thing.
  19. Iron Maiden - The Trooper This song brings back the days man. 8-)
  20. If it's drawn then who is it exploiting?... oh wait, nobody. CP is wrong because it is cruelly exploiting children, a drawing isn't. are you serious? people attracted to CP are mentally ill imo Yes, it is pretty damn weird, especially since they were cartoons but it does not warrant legal action to be taken against him. You can call him sick, disgusting, twisted, whatever, it's all fine by me, but he should not get in trouble for just looking at cartoons. As for the people who actually go around molesting children, put them on death row for all I care, but the guy in the article isn't one of them as far as we know. Lol, I see the gateway argument in this thread.
  21. Haha, I'd say that was more of the rabbit's FML than yours.
