Probably the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy 'trilogy', followed by Harry Potter, Protector of the Small/The Lioness/Trickster's Choice/Beka Cooper (ie everything by Tamora Pierce except Circle of Magic), anything by Suzanne Collins (Hunger Games, Gregor the Overlander), LOTR, Artemis Fowl, possibly Pride and Prejudice, definitely Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Oh and The Thief Lord and Dragon Rider by Ms. Funke are awesome too. I cannot stand the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Whatevers books. They are dumb.

No, I don't want you all on my Facebook. That's why I have it set to private and even though I have like 300 friends, I know them all IRL. I know none of you IRL (as far as I know). Tbh I think having everyone's real name out for the finding on the internet is too little privacy and too much government control. What happens when third graders need to do research for a class project on the internet? Will they need to use their real names to gain access to use search engines? Heck, my school already blocks Google and just about every other search engine, which is wrong. Is the internet [excuse my poor grammar] just going to get wronger and wronger? Just because some people are stupid?

I broke my phone's screen today. It still works fine though. And I need to be studying chords for jazz band tomorrow and am not.

:P Tripsis said I can't cause it's got two posts. And there aren't any other accounts that I could change to that I'd like (except maybe 'hawk' but I don't really like the lack of capitalization). I know him quite well, we're both on student council, in a local youth advisory committee, and in SADD (plus jazz band. and I have one lunch out of 3 days with him, where we sit at the same table). I've been friends with him for probably the past 3-4 years. My life is kind of sad and lacking when you think about how many opportunities I've had...

Christopher Columbus is dumb. Don't care about anything about him screwing over the natives or anything like that (which he definitely did). It's the fact that he was also sure as heck not the first European to go to America. Heck, he didn't even find America, he found the Bahamas. And then he thought he was in freaking India. No, Lief Eriksson Day is the legitimate day that should be celebrated (the 8th is an official US holiday) and Columbus can go die in a hole. Vikings are cooler anyway. (tbh I know a guy who's related to Lief Ericsson. And who doesn't love a guy whose last name [and first] you can spell twelve different ways?) I don't even get it off so I don't know why I care so much. Oh wait, it's because Columbus doesn't deserve a day at all. Amerigo Vespucci is a good name to know if people randomly ask you why America is called America though.

I know at a local level (ie in your house) it's relatively close. My house is made of concrete, the router's in the basement, and I can sit on the front porch or in the driveway and access the wi-fi. My cousins live in a packed suburb, and their neighbors can steal their wi-fi. So it depends on the location of the router and the material it has to travel to. I guess it also depends on the application; a school's wi-fi is going to be bigger than at someone's house.

I've been thinking about changing my display name from hawkxs to Hawk. (Although I haven't even checked if it's available...) How do you feel about this? (if you even care). There's a guy I like blah blah blah. Except I'm too chicken to ask him out because I've never done this before and don't have the slightest idea what to do. There's a formal in like January that I am going to ask him to, but I feel like I should do something before this because there's a random girl who may or may not like him as well. Yeah so I am kind of not feeling great at the moment, have some sort of a cold like thing and am just very meh today.

The fact that I can't end up doing nothing and sitting on my butt all day mooching off the government. Well I could, but my ideals are somewhat better than that. And the fact that I need a good job and good insurance 'cause I've got the 'betes. Mainly I guess it's me forcing myself to do x because of y. If it's I need to do my homework because it's due tomorrow or I need to play soccer because I'm antisocial/want to try it/might as well/spring sports are good for you, if I can justify it for a good reason I will make myself do it. Usually if it's something out of my comfort zone (ie playing soccer for the first time as a sophomore) I find that I enjoy it and that it was a good experience. Or at least that it may/will be useful down the road (PSAT anyone?)

Second article was really relevant; name changes bother me a lot. Mainly because some of them become offensive and you really have no idea who these people are and why they're on your friends list. Fiction is getting better every week!

Columbus day is dumb. Lief Eriksson day is the way to go. And it's actually an official national holiday in the US; Oct 9th. I really need to work on some art for TS Stormrage. I saw the Guardians of Ga'hoole movie today. I have eaten 6 large marshmallows and am getting a cold.

I take 3mg of Melatonin every night at the advice of my doctor because I have issues sleeping too. It's sort of natural, your body makes it as well. I want to say it's also in turkey and milk but I might be wrong.

Since Fox stopped letting Dish carry local Fox sports channels, I can't watch my Wings games, and I can't even watch them on the NHL Network because they're blacked out [because Fox Sports is supposed to carry them]. Can't go to the Griffs game tomorrow either. Hoping they win, might listen to it on the radio, actually I probably will since it's not just on AM.

$15? I got mine for $5 at RadioShack and put it in myself... Seems to work fine now at keeping the time!

Or make it easier to not have it as their default browser. I have FF 3.6 and there's an addon called Firefox Sync that syncs your bookmarks, settings and passwords in Firefox on different computers. Very nice I must say, although it doesn't transfer your other addons.

Well either way I didn't have that file there and I didn't put it there. I used the Profile Manager (run firefox[Caution: Executable File] -ProfileManager), made a new profile, got rid of the nonworking one, and copied all my junk into that one. Firefox works fine now. :thumbsup: This thread can be locked.

I copied my profile folder from another computer and I don't think it let me copy that file. Then I just replaced the folder and deleted the old profile. So now Firefox is lacking that parent.lock file... I'll see if I can copy it later today and fix it.

Sax neck strap is win. Which one do you play? I really need to get you guys a picture of me.

Hm. If we have true Virtual Console I'll have to see how much gamestop will give me for my DSi; will probably wait until Dec of next year to buy though. If Nintendo lets you transfer DSiWare, I'm all for it.
