The Sig Rating Game
2/10 Mickey pasted over some random fire. Lame, plus I don't like Disney.

Custom Lego Minifigs/Tutorial
I've gotten into customizing Lego minifigures recently, here's a few pics of them. The jester has a hat that is custom made from Sculpey, and has custom decals added. The archer has a custom black dragon body. You can see 360 degree views of them on my Flickr here. -Note: The weapons (khopesh, sword, bow) I got from BrickForge. The quiver and hair are official Lego pieces, as is the jesters base. I also made a tutorial in which I explain how I go about making the custom armors. [hide=Tutorial] [/hide]

Forum Updated
I'm not entirely sure what 'view new content' is... It's probably obvious and I... yep, it's on the index. How would one tell if it's working or not? Looks nice, have yet to try out the mobile skin with my DSi, hopefully it works now!

Need some dietary advice.
Yeah, they make those calcium/D/K chocolate chews, my mom's going to get some more of those.

Today...
So yesterday I went to the doctor, like I said. My HbA1c was 7.3, 0.1 less than last time (which is good, doctor was very happy) but I'm kind of disappointed with it, because I've had them in the 6.0-6.5 range. So today I'm going back to try a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) which I hope will make that lower. I'm supposed to be working on something for a camp history project. I just don't want to do it right now.

Need some dietary advice.
Texture, taste, the fact that to me it seems like white water (because it's 2% or 1/2%, and whole has way too much fat, plus I don't think it'd make much of a difference), and is sort of disgusting due to that. I do like hot chocolate/chocolate milk, but it has so many carbs, it's not worth it to drink on a daily basis. Carnation Instant Breakfast might solve my problem though... Especially + almond milk... The problem is my doctor said to eat less cheese because it's high in saturated fat. I do like cheese. :P

School
We have 6 minutes between classes, maybe 5 I'm not sure. And a 30 minute lunch. We have 800 kids in the school and only 2 lunch periods. 300 kids trying to buy lunch all at once? Dumbest thing ever, and that is why I always bring my lunch.

Need some dietary advice.
Yesterday I went to the doctor, and they have a nutritionist who comes in before the doctor and whatever. She told me I need more calcium and vitamin D and need to not eat more LDL (my total cholesterol is about 150, but my LDL is like 100...) I need a way to get more calcium into my diet. As it is, I get maybe 800mg of my recommended 1300 per day. I hate milk, and soy milk. So I'm looking at almond milk maybe. Generally I don't eat much for breakfast (see next paragraph), at lunch I have Go-Gurt, and at dinner I have a cup of 2% milk. Plus a random cheese stick or two in there. What are good ways of more calcium and D without milk... Or yogurt. Also, what are good quick to eat and prepare breakfast foods that are like a complete meal but don't have much saturated fat? I like the Jimmy Dean breakfast muffin sandwiches, but those have a fair amount of fat and cholesterol. I know they make 'light' versions of those, so I'm going to try them. Anything else that you eat for breakfast though? I'm not big on cereal. Or yogurt.

Jazz
Since the 'Recommend a band' thread has disappeared, I guess I'll make a new thread.. Sort of. For general discussion of jazz, I guess, but I am really looking for some good jazz, preferably with a nice bassline and lots of saxophone. Hopefully available on last.fm.

Food
Tbh I could have had pizza for breakfast, but there were still others in the house who would be offended if I did (ie 'You ate it now there's less for lunch') but I think since nobody's here now I shall have some. It's good Italian style thin crust, from the area pizza 'family' (they've got like five different places, all owned by a member of the family, all serve the same awesome pizza. but I think I like the newer establishments more than the original)

Food
Mmm, steak and sauteed mushrooms... Good stuff. Had a piece of whole wheat bread with Nutella on it, part of a balanced, yet tasty breakfast. Except I had no milk or fruit or juice. Nutella is quite possibly one of the best things in the world. Along with sauerkraut, pickles, and tortilla chips.

Literature
I need to take pics of mah awesome multi-layer bookshelf. There's junk in the back hidden and all sorts of awesome not-books on it... I have one random volume of Naruto (#27) and the first 7 volumes of Hikaru no Go. And like 12 random issues of Shonen Jump.

Nintendo 3DS
I don't regret buying the DSi though, it was totally worth it. I just wonder if it's worth it to sell it and buy a 3DS when they come out. And what will come of the DSi Shop and all that. Clever Idea: Since you link your Club Nintendo account when you enter the Shop for the first time, they know what you've downloaded and for how much. Why not allow a forced hard drive wipe, with the allowance that when you register a new DS model, you can redownload everything you've already (that was lost when you cleared the memory) downloaded, once per new hardware. I know they didn't allow this with the XL, but I'd hope they would with the 3DS, it'd get a lot more people to buy one. If you're still making money off X, why put Y out there? I honestly wonder sometimes. What's the point of the XL, so soon after the DSi itself? Do I just want nostalgia where everything that's cool didn't change every three months? Where you could buy a GBA and it would still be the big Nintendo handheld, and could play tons of games. Well, if this makes DS games obs- oh wait they're backward compatible. Nintendo didn't even leave me the 'cheap DS games' outlet.
