I'd say offer to help out JDRF or the ADA, depending on what you want to help with. JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, http://www.jdrf.org ) looks for a cure (specifically for type 1) and some 95% of the money raised goes straight to research. The ADA (American Diabetes Association, http://www.diabetes.org ) works more on advocacy, they run camps for kids and work to lessen discrimination against people with diabetes. Why are you looking to start one? Is there not one active in your area? Because then you could work with JDRF to start one near you. YES. They don't know all the causes of it, they have no idea why your body attacks itself, they have lots of theories but no specific reason. Insulin is not a cure, and genetics is only a piece of the puzzle.

I recommend SanDisk Sansa brand, I have an indestructible Clip, but it doesn't play videos; the Fuze (8GB) does, and so does the View (16GB). A friend has a Fuze that's been run over and still works. They also have built in FM radio, I believe. EDIT: Both have expandable memory with mini-SDHC cards.

Because of all this drum talk, I've started playing Guitar Hero again... on drums. Feel free to hate, 'cause if we hadn't bought all those GH games, we'd have money for a drum kit and prolly a bass and an amp... Seriously: $100 for GH3+2guitars, $50 for GH5, $100 for GH4+band kit, $10 for Aerosmith, $0 for Van Halen... Alright, so no bass, but you could get a cheapish kit. And my driver's license came in the mail today, it's only been like a week and they said 2-3 weeks. Except there's some sticky gunk stuck to the back of it because of how they stuck it to the paper. But it doesn't matter because I don't need the barcode anyway... When it expires I have to get a new one, because under-21s have vertical licenses. And I signed up for a free Dew wristband; if you become a fan on Facebook, the Mountain Dew people will send you a wristband (in 8-12 weeks :P) if you ask for it before 6pm EST today. Apparently they're only shipping to the US though. So I figure I'll get it, go 'WTF?', and think, w00t, early Christmas present!

I hold TIF to a higher standard, most of us are just stupid in real life with fire and alcohol and automobiles and such. And one more: I am hopelessly blunt.

Today, I wrote an essay about the properties of water and how they contribute to life on earth in ten minutes (I had 23 to do it in), and therefore finished up my AP Bio homework. I have 3 more pages of Calc to do, and have to finish Lord of the Flies and read 3 inches thick of 8.5x11 extra material for English 11 (to test out). I also made up a table detailing the D&D effects of BrickForge's special trans and GITD weaponry. I am quite proud of it. And SOMEONE spilled some junk on the keyboard (which is a niceish wireless one, that even matches the monitor, mouse, and computer) and now the Tab, Q, and right Control keys are sticking. :evil: Oh and yesterday I spent an hour looking for my family crest and could not find it. But I found ones for my mom's and grandmother's maiden names.
