Magical Mystery Tour is win.
  3. True that. I'll be here lurking again, dunno if I'll have the time to do any rping though...

We have a D4+ Discwasher record cleaning kit pretty much like this one and it works great, I dunno what the fluid is actually made of though... But, upon reading reviews, these new cleaners are not like the ones of old (which is definitely the one we have) so maybe don't get this, although I'd definitely look for a similar product.

  6. If I could get some very ancient looking snow-capped mountains (or glaciers) that'd be awesome. Not particularly concerned about 'ancient looking' but it sounded cool.

We have maybe 300 of them kicking around, and 3 record players, one of which is one of those USB ones. We've also got a record cleaner kit, which I think is funny. Obviously none of them are mine personally, mostly my dad's, and my mom has some too. We've got a couple of duplicates but not many. One of my favorites is Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band because of the art... It's got marijuana leaves on it :P Also of note are You Can Tune a Piano But You Can't Tuna Fish; epic picture on the front. It's hanging up in our basement, along with Moving Pictures (Rush), Jazz (Queen), some Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble album, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1, Days of Future Passed (The Moody Blues), and a Journey album that I think is Arrival... No, it's Infinity. Yeh we have too many vinyls.

But of course the song was named for the project. Either way, cool song, cool tag, and how did you make it?
  9. I didn't know it was that easy, thanks!
  10. I'm running Firefox 3.5 on a Windows 2000 with multiple extensions/addons that I'd like to put on a Windows 7 with Firefox 3.6. Is there another extension that can do this, or a quick way to copy and paste all the extensions into some settings folder? I can't download any program (unless it's a firefox addon) to do this with.

    I might take another shot...

We had a fire drill and ten minutes later 'another' one... There was actually a gas leak in the physics wing, and people heard it/were feeling ill apparently. We spent like 40 minutes outside, and the fire trucks came. :P
  13. Tbh I think what I can do is not much more that what you've drawn yourself, so unless you want me to keep working on this, I don't think I'm much help. I would take in your pictures to a local fabric store and see if they can help you locate a pattern or with some ideas.

Drawn Attempt Pixel Attempt. Very retro. Badly scanned, but awesome drawing. I'm going to post these in the RS Media board since it's there now. :)

My nine year old cousin has Asperger's and what I notice most is his reluctance to be hugged/touched (although he'll randomly hug you sometimes). He used to run screaming from my mom and I... :P He's really smart but people don't understand him (psychologically, not verbally, he can talk fine when he wants to). He's often silent and won't talk, and kind of the sort to go hide in the corner. I recently helped out at a Special Olympics event and another soccer event for special needs kids. There's a wide range of mental abilities that are classified as autism, so just because someone seems normal, doesn't mean they have some issues with others. I do believe that people use illness as a crutch too often. I have type 1 diabetes and play ice hockey, soccer, go to camp, and do a wide variety of 'normal' activities. You have to want to do stuff, and not be all 'oh I have -illness- I can't do that' (i hate people like that). And I don't want you sitting on your butt when you can hold a job.
  16. It's a Jolly Rancher! My 5th grade teacher used to give them out all the time! Schools should not be able to regulate what you bring to school to eat (within reason; if the kid's bringing vodka, confiscate it) and I know kids bring awful lunches, but they never told us what else she had. Maybe her lunch was a PB&J on wheat, with applesauce, a cheese stick, yogurt, and water/light sports drink, and the Jolly Rancher was a little treat. (tbh, that's what I have most days for lunch, instead of candy I have some cookies though). So I think this enforcement is definitely too harsh, and that schools really shouldn't have this jurisdiction. Before you can police food kids bring, make your own food all healthy and all tasty all the time.

Tbh if they have a midnight showing I'm going. And I'm buying 1 & 2 on DVD as soon as possible (they come out on Tuesday). Everybody except for the couple of actors who have died since the beginning are the same, I'm pretty sure.
  18. We've got a TB external hard drive, only question is if he'll be smart and actually use it.
  19. The man bought the computer and put MacAfee on it. Because it was $25 for 3 years or some such crap. There's a reason it was $25, I said... I will laugh later, I hope.
  20. So I just read a blog that said Avira (free version) and Norton 2009 do about the same in performance tests the guy did, and the only slowed down the boot time by about a second each, and that they don't use much more memory than the comp would be idling anyway... So my thought is, if he wants to buy it, I'm not going to try to stop him, because all I'm concerned about is speed and RAM.
  21. But my dad is crazy and believes that we have to have some memory hogging program. Tbh I don't absolutely hate Norton, and would be okay with it if a) it used a heck of a lot less memory, and b ) gave me a heck of a lot less pointless notifications. If we can locate an nVidia GeForce Go 6800 or compatible GPU then I think we're fine, but we can't find one (or at least my dad can't on the Dell website.) That's the default GPU that came with it, but I think we had an upgrade... Possibly a GeForce 7800 GTX.
  22. The video card on our Dell overheated, so we have to replace it. My dad found a deal on a new laptop at Staples apparently  and all we 'need' is a new copy of Norton. Does anyone know how much memory the newest version (for Windows 7, something like a 3 comp license) one uses? I mean how well does it compare, because if it's decent I'm not going to argue, but if it sucks still (like the 2003 version does) I'm going to go for .... What antivirus/firewall thingy should I suggest then?
  23. Hawks replied to Skully's topic in Tech and Computers
I don't think anyone but Apple has that sort of thing, that's what Apple does and that's why I hate them. I can recommend Skullcandys, just make sure you only spend as much as you're willing, as they do die often; although if you register them, they supposedly have a lifetime warranty for half price or free replacement depending on your model.
  24. Yes, hopefully that new skin will work on my DSi too! (Currently, it can't load the normal skin, and won't automatically switch to lo-fi)
  25. Tbh, I've only got a basic outline yet. Do you want the layers separate or together (as in the inner and outer robe on one pic, or two separate?) However, I will be working on it as I have time. Do you want it colored?
