  1. Lego, of which I still have all of the ones I had when I was little, and still buy them often. Yu-Gi-Oh I played with until I was maybe 12... I still have all my cards and stuff. And Beyblades :P I still have a bunch of those in a box in my closet. Anybody remember these Lego games? [spoiler=Best Computer Games in the history of the universe] Nintendo... The NES and later the GameCube, when the NES was sadly fried. Animal Crossing and Paper Mario were the best games, along with Super Smash Bros. Melee. I also collected CareBears up until they recently disappeared from stores last year sometime. So I have like 20-30 (not kidding) of them. Plus a bunch of D&D stuff I got into when I was like 13, which I still play with from time to time, more often than not I just use the books as reference.
  2. Did various running and crunches and pushups for an hour yesterday and I am dead. And I get to do it again on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday! Conditioning for soccer. Is going to kill me, I am fairly sure.

I drew this over the course of one day, using a picture from a D&D book as reference. Is it too dark? A friend of mine said it was. (hmm... irl, it's darker) Also any advice on getting dragon heads to not look like wolf heads?
  4. Lots of people used to think I was a guy, so showing gender is definitely a good idea.
  5. Imo, buying a Mac just means paying more to have a light-up logo on the back of it, which is beyond stupid. Go with Linux or Windows if you don't want to mess with it.
  6. I understand how hard it is to find something legit to write about, but why not ask us what we want? That's what TET does, and it helps us a decent amount. Also, if you're having issues getting articles written, add more people to Editorial or ask for more articles... And I kind of think both are needed, because you could work more with the guest authors and have a few 'regulars' who aren't on the team but that write maybe one or two articles a month. I still miss more articles and the fiction, and I feel it's gone down in quality over the past few months as well. The article was okay. I didn't think it was anything special but there's not much more to say.
  7. I'd find it fun to do some schematics of the grills and whatnot, to jump-start creativity... I'll list off the stuff that's been discussed and do some drawings. I'm going to have a lot of random bits of free time this week, but don't expect anything until maybe Friday, probably Saturday.
  8. Ohio has the crappiest and tiniest roads I've ever seen. But Michigan takes the cake for being the crappiest place to live. But to randomly hate on states; Illinois because a ) Obama , b ) inane corruptness anyway. And Minnesota, because they think they're all that because they have tons of lakes. Well so does Michigan. :P
  9. I hate it that our schools don't offer more choices. I'm taking German right now (in my 2nd year) and I wish my school offered Japanese. We only have Spanish and German. I also find it dumb that they force Spanish on us until we're like 11, then drop it until we get into high school. I personally believe that if you're going to live and work in the US, you need to speak English. I do not have a requirement to be able to understand you, you have a requirement to be able to speak the language I speak. (Which, incidentally, is why I'm taking German and not Spanish.) There's a German exchange student in my school though, and he says all you do in school in Germany is sit around in one class all day and sometimes the teachers leave early; he likes the American system much better... Although he's 16 and speaks German and English fluently.
  10. I like it, it's very bright and seemingly random but all together it looks nice.

Ich bin Amerikanerin, aber ich studiere Deutsch in Gymnasium. Ich liese gern auf Deutsch auch. I'm not sure which article Gymnasium has though... I hate akkusativ and dativ cases.
  12. I bought LEGO Rock Band for the DS yesterday and it's pretty epic, especially since it was only $20. The songs are kind of lame, and they're shortened but it's good value. Plus you can play it on the DSi... which is why I bought it. The epic book is the Ultimate LEGO Minifig Sticker Collection ( http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Sticker-Collection-Minifigure-COLLECTIONS/dp/0756659841 ) It is basically fiftysome pages of minifig stickers and it includes some older styles and licensed lines (Umbridge even got her own lego sticker). I also got a new sketch book, it's a Strathmore sketch one, the recycled 400 series. It's 9x12 I think, and it was on sale which was nice. 'Tis all, I suppose.
  13. I think like deep blood red suede would look really nice as a bookmark. And the corners look good too. But I don't think marbled paper would go well with the book; I just don't think that red and black would make a good marbled paper.
  14. In the past year: Nintendo DSi: $180 Scribblenauts: $20 on sale LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga: $20 Nerf DSi Armor: $15 Clean & Protect Kit: $10 Nintendo Points Card: $20 Plus New Super Mario Bros., 8GB SDHC which were Christmas gifts... Over 16 years I would imagine ~$400 or so, I think I've purchased a fair number of PC games that I don't remember the cost of atm... I do know I bought half of the Warcraft III battle chest... so that was $25, plus some old GameCube games...
  15. Sort of a shop and sort of a 'I had this awesome idea, can you draw it for me' type of thing. What I draw: -Weapons -Armor -Items -Monsters (not so much though) -Dragons. I would consider that I draw in two main styles: RuneScape-like and Dungeons & Dragons-like. RS style is more cartoony, less detailed and more for concept arts for RS suggestions and that sort of thing. D&D style is more lifelike, and ranges in detail from a little to a heck of a lot. More for representation of a RP character or OC. I generally do not draw humans, the exception is if you request a full set of clothing/armor. If you have an idea that I like I'll probably draw it, same goes if you have a RS suggestion that requires a number of themed objects. To request concept art please use this form; omit or add things as needed: Theme: Link to Suggestion Thread (TIF Only): Description of Request: Color Scheme: Special Requirements: Example Filled out Form: Theme: Ice Dragon Weapons Link to Suggestion Thread (TIF Only): whatever link it is Description of Request: I need weapons that surround the theme of a white ice-type dragon in the RuneScape style Color Scheme: White, ice blue, gray Special Requirements: Start with scimitar, longsword, and dagger please. I may need armor and shields eventually. References for special armor/items based off existing items in various games are useful as well. I am not a RS member, so if you reference a members' item, please link to the entry in the Tip.it database. For dragons I would like a reference picture: Type: From: Link to Ref: Color Scheme or Sketch: Example Filled out Form: Type: Blue From: D&D (or WoW or RS, just tell me the franchise!) Link to Ref: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/MM35_gallery/MM35_PG72.jpg Color Scheme or Sketch: Sketch or Blue/Yellow as shown. I reserve the right to request more information and references for the objects before I begin, and to not do requests if I so choose. Previous work references:
  16. Oh btw TUT PLZ?
  17. My school has an on-going 'EDP' (Educational Development Plan) thing where each year you work on a different aspect of preparing you to go into the workforce/to college. For sophomores, this is a 'Life Timeline'... You have to plan out, starting Junior year and go ten years into the future. They gave us 3 lab days with a total of 10 days until it is due. We have to include what colleges we apply to, how much they cost, any jobs we have, how much we make, hobbies/activities, where we are living, how old we are, big ticket purchases, etc, etc. Then we have to write a 3 paragraph paper detailing why we chose the career we did, what we would do in the occurance of an 'unexpected life event' (randomly handed out to each kid, things like 'get pregnant in 2014', company goes out of business, get divorced) then describe how we felt about the assignment (by picking one adjective). I talked to the counselor who created this assignment for the majority of my physics hour on Thursday. Why do I have to do this assignment, I asked, and what's the point if it doesn't count for anything but 100 points in English class? She said it's to let her get to know the 800 students better; if she knows I play hockey, she can send me a hockey scholarship, that sort of thing. Which still doesn't make sense. Then she told me that since I'm angry about the assignment, I must be afraid of something in the assignment or the future. I told her I can't possibly think of anything I'm afraid of in that context, but that I'm angry because I view this assignment as a waste of my time. I generally live in the present. I know what I'm doing tomorrow, or that I'm going to college, but I don't know where or exactly what for yet; so there's no point in making any of it up. She basically said that's crap and that I really am afraid of something. So I'm still angry about it and my adjective will be something along the lines of 'not ideal'. My 16th was on Tuesday, I got a balloon animal kit, a dancing penguin bookmark, a pound of Chessex multi-sided dice, Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone in German), a pair of Ink'd Skullcandy earbuds, a Puzzle Calendar (like legos + perpetual calendar), and an Imaginext Dragon (that was on clearance at Wal-Mart for $7 so I told my mom she needed to get it  ). I also got $20 cash and two checks for $20. Plus I've yet to visit my grandparents for my birthday celebration; I'm pretty sure they're getting me some Toy Story LEGOs. Haven't gotten my license yet.
  18. I wouldn't buy a skin to begin with, if you're going to though, I would go with http://www.skinit.com. They have a good selection and guarantee their skins.
  19. Epicness, thanks!

  21. They're both quite good, I dislike trumpets though and therefore must say I like the first one better. Like you said your armor details need some work; perspective on his left hand/side is a little off too. For some reason his helmet and face seem oddly shaped and I think he has a weird facial expression.

So angry at the Canadian women. But they got reprimanded for smoking/drinking on the ice, the drinking age in B.C is 19, there's a couple of 18 year olds on their team. The US men need to beat Finland or Sweden or whoever they're playing today. Ryan Miller is epic. =D>
  23. I love that idea. Add special ways to char/heat treat staves? Flaming arrows?
  24. I use Firefox but am forced to use IE at school and on the laptop at home... Mostly I switched because it was the most popular one and I finally convinced my dad that IE6 is full of holes. I'm using 3.5 with NASA Night Launch, WoT, AdBlock Plus, and Fire.fm. There's some more random ones I've got too...

:P I just quit drawing things that had bad anatomy because I knew you'd all yell at me. So err... Most of this has been 'we give harsh c/c' not actually anything that's particularly proactive.
