Ask your questions or sig resizing here!
Can someone remind me how to change the default brush/size/font in GIMP, so when I start it up I don't have Splatter Brush 6, size 0.32, and Defused Bold, size 20 as the settings?

Which of these two images are better? And why?
I pick first one because bottom one is really generally washed out.

Shouldn't DA/DeviantART just be one word? Eh. Nice, you should make a tut for the buttons.

Dang.
It's nearly noon and I haven't anything else to do, except try a bronze dragon (did earlier but I set it up wrong so it fell off the page) and do my daily Wii Fit thing. :P No school because 'it's a blizzard out there'... They actually called school yesterday, which was nice so I didn't have to get up at 5:30. I'm working on some armor concept art for quelmotz's firemaking suggestion: http://forum.tip.it/topic/252019-reviving-firemaking-ash-equipment-charms-and-more/ Take a look and leave your thoughts! My last.fm is hating on me and keeps playing the same 50-some songs randomly. I made this sig out of my dragon art from yesterday, for the SOTW: Yeah not much going on. Later I'll have hockey (hopefully) so that'll be fun. And I found this epic thing on ThinkGeek that I must have: LEGO HEAD LAMP! Thanks for reading.

Proposal For New Membership Types
I would definitely buy a $7.00 80 hours of 'members' card. I don't want to post on the forums, I just want access to members' stuff, and this is perfect for 'those teenagers' who don't want to buy membership otherwise. And in the grand scheme of things, Jagex is making more money, as 80 hours is just a little under a week's (by 12 hour days - just over 3 days by 24 hours) worth of membership... when a month's worth is only a little more (but is timed). Full support.

HEY! NO SCHOOL! +Dragon Artz
Yep, today was a snow day, and so is tomorrow! We got like a foot of slush/rain/snow today, and we're going to have 50mph sustained winds tonight and tomorrow plus another foot of snow tomorrow! This means I got a ton of concept art done today! All that needs to be done atm is some ash armor, and I'm going to work on that before I go to bed in a bit. I also drew this epic blue dragon today. Go look at my gallery to find it since I'm out of time. All for today. Thanks for reading.

Silver Dragon Hatchling - Blue Dragon Adult
Any specific places where shading is out of line? Because I felt that (besides being really dark) it was fairly decent. It being a baby dragon, it ought to look out of proportion, yes? Since I can't find my reference on the internet...

Christmas Loot!
Use one from a volleyball net set. Last year we gave my aunt a signed pic of my dad standing in the yard with the 'Festivus pole' as a gag gift. We've got a nice 7' tree that couldn't have been more than $20, my parents won't spend that much on a tree. We do get ours from the farm though. Not particularly religious, I think we really celebrate it because it's an excuse to get presents and all that crap. I don't care one way or another as long as I don't have to go to school and get some stuff.

Great Christmas Gallery Activity
I wish I had Illustrator... Meh, just have to get dual-enrolled in something next year and then cajole my parents into buying it and a computer... <_< Not gonna happen. Can you do this sort of stuff with InkScape?

Reviving Firemaking - Ash equipment, charms, and more!
If you followed the plastic mold idea, have special furnaces in certain places that have the mill thing on them so you can only melt plastic there. In real-life blacksmithing, you use files and such to shape metal, I always thought it was odd that you only used those items for crafting.
-
Reviving Firemaking - Ash equipment, charms, and more!
I just think that the plastic weapons being traditionally smithed is stretching it a bit. Plastic is a hard, versatile material. So unless you're carving the weapons (which would be cool) I don't think you could carry a bar of ash plastic to an anvil and still be able to mold it (like taffy). But the molds in the furnaces are definitely a go. So maybe introduce a new kind of smithing where you use a chisel and files to shape a sword/weapon instead of the traditional single hammer? Also I wasn't thinking at all about the inventory full of ash=more ammys. That's a good idea, plus if they degraded that'd get really annoying.

Study Finds that More Youth Say They'd Make Good Choices than 20 years ago
From here, you can find the full study and such here. I thought this was interesting, especially since more and more people are saying the kids of today aren't 'up to scratch'. And the huge differences in responses between males and females.

the (financially realistic) ideal honeymoon
I'd like to go to Europe and sort of wander, y'know? Probably a two-week sort of thing. And I'd probably marry a guy who'd want to do that sort of thing too... Besides that, go to all four LEGOLANDs too. But maybe just the 3 that are in Europe. My parents went on a cruise (in Alaska, in spring) and drove the Alaskan Highway on their honeymoon. They saw lots of MOOSE. Whatever you do, I'd get married in a random type month (not like August or June, more like February or March) so the fees are less because less people are vacationing and/or honeymooning at that time of year.

Reviving Firemaking - Ash equipment, charms, and more!
I think I misunderstood your /'s in the OP then. I took them to mean that you needed every one of those ashes. I now realize that you just need a number of one kind of ash... In that case, disregard my previous comment about the magic ash thing... But then I think there ought to be a reward of sorts for making it with a higher level ash, so perhaps have them degrade over time or number of uses? And have magic ash be worth like 25 uses, and yew be worth 20 to normal ash being worth 5? I'm not sure if that's a bit low, but anyone doing the quest would have a good fm level so I don't think that would be an issue. Also maybe add that you must have at least started the quest to use or buy any ash-related item.

Yep.
Have a stupid project/presentation on a gluten free diet due on Friday. Seriously. She expects us to have a nice poster and a 4-5 minute presentation about our diet by Friday. She gave us like 1 1/2 hours in class to research and wouldn't let us print anything out. We had crappy art supplies and not even legit poster board. As a result, I have to use my seminar tomorrow to work with my partner on it. And bring in my own scissors, glue, markers, and colored pencils to make it look half-decent. And write notecards since we have to pretend to look at the audience. Plus my partner doesn't like speaking in front of people. To sum it up, I hate group projects and poorly-orchestrated projects. I am taking on another project which is probably a bad idea, but it'll give me something to draw whilst I attempt to finish up the Divinite stuff. It's Ash stuff this time, and I'm looking forward to doing a couple character designs (shamans!) and fun stuff. Last night we had a jazz band performance type thing. I'm still deaf/can't hear well out of my right ear. I play bari sax and had to sit right in front of and to the left of the drum set... We got fed though! It was nice... Not much else to say other than I apologize for not getting anything I should have done for you done. Thanks for reading.

Reviving Firemaking - Ash equipment, charms, and more!
Make 'holy' or 'pure' weapons by creating some sort of paste (like poison) and applying it to the weapons? Then have them blessed by a shaman or summat? But I think even then you ought to be able to still make the (solid?) ash weapons. I'm not really sure on the current stats (ie how they shape up to rune, dragon, etc) but I suggest if you haven't looked at that aspect do, and think about how they'd fit in with the rest of the current weapons ingame. Because I don't think they're really designed to be a replacement for rune, but rather a nice thing as a complement to rune as an alternative for f2pers and to give an incentive to train firemaking. Also I suggest looking at the requirements for creating the amulets and such as they do require members items (unless this includes opening/adding magic trees for f2p) and I'm kind of wondering where this focuses, on members or f2p. If it's designed for both, I'd designate what can and can't be made by f2pers... So I would offer that they be uncraftable by everyone or designated untradeable via the GE in f2p worlds so f2pers can only buy them in the village (ie the fact that members can craft them has nothing to do with how it works in f2p worlds). Hopefully that last bit makes sense. It didn't really to me. I really like the whole shaman idea thing. I really want to draw one. I think I shall do that soon.
